Sentinel Prime is one of the best SS voyagers. His only true fault is its lack of paint.

The rumor mill stops for no one, including Hasbro's marketing teams, further evidenced by yet another leak of an upcoming toy before its official product reveal. Today brings a first look at the previously rumored Studio Series 86 Junkyard, brought to us by the Autobase Aichi blog and the Instagram account for Youtuber Chefatron. While it should still technically be cautioned that this is not an official Hasbro product reveal so you should prepare accordingly for possible future de-bunking, recent history makes this feel unlikely.

As seen below, Junkyard looks to be based on the previously released Wreck-Gar but features a multitude of new parts that set him apart, potentially signaling an end to the long era of "Junkion figures not named Wreck-Gar" just being repaints of Wreck-Gar with a new head.

I really kick myself now because I had a couple opportunities to get him, my only hold up back then was I really wasn't a fan of the Bay designs nor of the prices, especially since I was only dabbling in the line. Though I've come around to the latter given more experience with the construction process, I still don't much care for the "busy" look. What made me want him was I liked the character and who voiced him, unfortunately I held out too long.

I'm hoping we see more Studio Series reissues, possibly from Buzzworthy. there's several bots I skipped on that I wish I had picked up like 07 Ratchet (though Premium finish has that covered), ROTF Starscream, Heli Drift, and Lockdown. I think Sentinel would be a good candidate for reissue as well!

There's also figures like Ironhide, DOTM Prime, and some of the early Constructicons that could totally use reissues.

Got me a Soundwave. He isn't too bad.

First of all, I hate this robot mode design. This is my absolute least favorite live action design period. So that influences my thoughts.

but the toy isn't too bad. I actually sort of like the alt mode in person, it reminds me of the Bladerunner hover cars, so that makes me like it more. Robot mode doesn't do much for me, but I imagine he will look great with the rest of the cons once he can unite with them.

He does have a bad case of sad face, but that's OK I guess. Adds some personality to him.

also, he comes with 2 backdrops: one he's strapped to, one intact one like the rest of the line. I get to keep more intact backdrops!

A reissue of Ironhide would really great, or even a DotM version. Honestly, Buzzworthy seems like the perfect avenue to reissue a bunch of figures from the last several years.

Thank you! I figured if Hasbro won't do Studio Selects, I'd make my own xD

I would LOVE to do a Nightwatch Prime, but getting a duplicate SS-32 would be very expensive. If there's ever a reissue or something I totally would do that!

Why we can't have some SS Selects is beyond me, some of those alternate color schemes were super good, why we can't get them again when we have a line basically dedicated to fan service is beyond me

Thank you! I'm surprised we haven't seen any Studio Selects either, though we have gotten a couple new offscreen repaints in the line (Thundercracker, NEST Bumblebee)
