I feel the opposite, I think the face looks way better now that we're seeing it close up. I love all the details and the way the eyes look, she looks less like a marionette now.
Razorbeast88 wrote:Wondering if I should get SS arcee to replace er arcee Definitely looks better just not sure if she'll fit in with the other generations figures
Replace from where? In a G1 display, she would look off. But in a general display, why not?
Personally, this Arcee won't replace anyone. She'll just enter my Arcee Harem! ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

I never had a G1-styled-Arcee before,so this this toy has picked my interest. Ironhide looks cool, buying him will make want buy Ratchet as well.
Day 784 of waiting for Transformers Armada Masterpiece news.

I was pretty sure I was gonna pass on Arcee and this just reaffirms that. Those black parts ruin the deco for me, just like the T30 did. I'm very happy with ER Arcee, so she stays. $24 saved.
Ratchet and Ironhide look pretty good, even if they're a bit short and stocky.
There is one thing I really don't like about that Ironhide Hide and ratchet and it's how they handled the shoulders. These toys are said to start with mirroring the robot mode seen in the film and then going from there for the alt mode but those shoulders are not like in the film. In the film, the grey part is not the whole shoulder, just a decorative strip at the top. So I thought maybe it had to be bigger to go with the alt mode but in the alt mode, those panels just stick out and don't integrate with the rest of the vehicle to form a nice outline (I have Ratchet as an example below). The design of the toys show that they planned to make those shoulder panels be more in line with the vehicle's outline but the toy doesn't have that. So you end up with inaccurate shoulders that look weird in robot mode and that serve nothing for in alt mode.

Yeah, but in order to make those shoulder panels integrate better into the alt mode concept art they had to cheat. The concept art makes the shoulder panels much larger than would be possible from the movie CG and that would have meant them being even bigger in bot mode. What they did was try to find the sweet spot in between and I think they did a good job working it out. Only alternative would have been to use fake parts.

Well then I would have preferred they just make them smaller then and more like the 3D model. At least then 1 of the two modes would look really good.

It's pretty standard fare that the CGI model cannot perfectly match the toy. Especially with the live action movie lines. Best example is in AoE where the filmmakers didn't even bother to figure out how the hell can this:
transform into this:
I almost raged when I saw this crap on the silver screen way back then:
Unique Toys did what the initial designers couldn't. Making AoE Galvatron properly transform. Seriously. Granted, it's MP sized and is nearly 300$ but still, a 3P company figured it out:
Now the real question is. Will Hasbro / Takara figure out the transformation as a voyager with the budget that go with it without a "folding table" as a backpack like the original? We know it's in the work and is relatively soon to be revealed. Will they succeed?

Stinger was in the same boat, so following that model there’s going to be some truck kibble in bot mode, but it should still be a good representation of the CG model.

Bruv, that Thirdparty Galvatron looks great in robot mode. But man the damn thing just turns inside out. His guts are the truck. It's like reverse Shelforming or something.
Ontopic: Arcee... I'm in love. She looks amazing, hope they repaint/retool her to death. Absolute must for me. Brawn is also Amazing, still need to get Wheeljack. I hope they redo Optimus with a simpler transformation. Both modes look good but he's not very solid in robot mode + the transformation gives me a headache.
Ironhide, a must as well. Already have Ratchet, great both modes.
I am loving these new Live Action Transformers. I hope they keep up this trend.
http://www.plasticpolygon.com I 3d design and print! Check out my instagram http://www.instagram.com/plasticpolygon3d for some Transformers weapons if you're interested. The War for Cybertron standard machine gun is ready as well as the Armada Optimus gun (smaller) and a Robotech Gunpod.
These Bumblebee movie toys shouldn't be compared to other movie toys since their alt modes were created by Hasbro proper (just like DOTM Shockwave). No reason Ironhide and Ratchet can't look better in the shoulder department.

It looks like she's wearing a mask with her real face peeking out underneath through the eye holes.

Arcee's face looks a bit weird in hand, it looks like a ventriloquist dummy. That's the one thing I don't like about the Bee movie Autobots: cliff, ironhide, ratchet, and Arcee have faces that look pretty weird and I'm not a big fan

We have an image of the new Studio Series deluxe toys hitting the shelves at Target. This is the wave with Bumblebee Movie Brawn, Ratchet, Wheeljack and SS86 Perceptor. The sighting comes from Transformers fan TickTockGoesTheClock who posted it here. Other fans have also reported finding it at Target. The photo below comes from a Target south of Indianapolis.
This makes the first wave of 2022 Studio Series toys now fully found in the US.

Just a guess, but coronation Scream first surfaced at Greenwood, IN Target and that qualifies as S of Indy. Or it could be Southport. I wonder if this is coming through that FedEx facility in Greenwood?

But this is at Target.
Literally does not matter. I almost always see things at walmart first. showing up first at one retailer doesn't make a difference for where I commonly find things

You hit the nail on the head with Arcee, I could never quite put my finger on it.
