Studio Series releases are all numbered, but we don't have any unknown number holes like with Siege. The only stuff we know is coming that we have yet to see are the other 4 Constructicons, otherwise this is just some fun harmless guessing.

Galvatron is a design that is kinda in desperate need of a better figure, I'm inclined to agree, but as ZTS so...eloquently put it above/before me, it'll definitely be difficult. They'd have to make up a transformation scheme like they did Stinger, and hide most/all all the truck parts from the front of the bot mode...I would be impressed to see it done well.

I personally still rank Blitzwing, Jolt, and DotM Soundwave as my most wanted.

Stinger at least had some car bits visible. Galvatron is a complete cheater, and frankly I don't see a Studio Series Voyager being much less of a shellformer than the AoE Voyager.

I think what we need to see in the Studio Series this year is a screen-colors redeco of the HFTD retool of the ROTF Voyager-class Fallen, to go with the ROTF 10th anniversary.
WANT:
* Cybertron Galvatron key, missiles
* Omega Lock
* Primus Cyber Key, coattail panel
* Powerlinx Comettor
* Cyb Jetfire R gun and missile
* RiD Galvy dragon head, beast arms
* DotM Ironhide windshield, R hood assy.
* ROTF Jetfire R JTFR panel

I can easily see SS Galvatron having the same engineering as Evasion Mode OP. Just the truck mode flipping inside out, hiding the vehicle mode parts and revealing the robot mode parts. Legs could either be like Evasion mode OP as well, or it could be like Galvy's AOE Voyager.

I want the Fallen to be a new mold with great articulation (ab crunch, ankle tilts, etc...), really accurate, and maybe the same "jet" mode from before. He never really transformed in the movie, and I really like the ROTF toy's jet mode, so that could be a thing. Also needs to have his staff and the Matrix (removable face is welcome too)

Meh, the engineering in Studio Series is no more advanced than the best seen in other movie lines. And it's not al;ways up to par. But even with the best engineering, a "cool Galvatron" in impossible. ANY toy of him with a remotely accurate robot mode is fated to end up a shellformer.

Because AoE Galvatron is a completely untransformable design. :evil: He's a filthy cheating garbage abomination that magically morphs from a tweaked version of Megs' Movie 1 robot mode into an Earthly semi truck. :evil: :-x He is filth, the person who designed him should be flogged, the useless smegheads who approved the design should be doubly flogged, and his design should be left to rot in the vault of shame forever.

The only way he could possibly be pulled off without heavy shellforming (or maaaaybe stupidly fiddly inversion shenanigans, and even then...) is by doing him as one of those dolls that you transform by turning inside out. Trying to do a transfort
In other words, he'd have to transform like MP Dinobot. :P

Yeah Zelda but how do you really feel :lol:

I was just sayin’! Sheesh. They’ve cleverly succeeded in enhancing and upgrading the transformation in all of these, they are all improvements on their previous releases. Galvatron would be a challenge but not impossible.

But let’s digress before swords get drawn yeah Fallen would be awesome I agree with that one.

Again, I reiterate that it is not impossible, and if they use the engineering from Evasion Mode Optimus Prime, they can accomplish this without MP Dinobot engineering.

Now, I would love a Soundwave from the Bumblebee movie. I don't care about the alt mode, heck, give him his Siege alt mode for all I care, just give me a figure of that design.

Evasion Optimus was able to pull that off (charitably speaking, anyway) because of Optimus' profile and his still having a truck-based robot mode. Galvatron, on the other hand, has a robot mode with no truck bits to it that's intended to evoke Megatron's Movie 1 robot mode. It has a different profile and a big concavity in the chest (evocative of the hole the Allspark burned into Megs in the first movie). So I don't think he could pull off the same transformation tricks as Evasion Optimus.

The ROTF toy has ankle tilts, of a sort. And I specified the HFTD retool because that has the staff and a removable face:

I see it a bit better now. I was confusing the top lip for a mustache, and the rest of the mouth for his chin.

But, yeah, a new Fallen toy would be dope. Hopefully one without the bizarre spring loaded feet.

We need a Leader Class Fallen. He needs to be big and hella posable, and yes come with a staff and a matrix.

I also would like us to finally get a Deluxe Leadfoot and a weaponized Roadbuster. We need 3 proper sized weaponized Wreckers dammit!

They could take a DotM Megatron approach to it, a denser robot mode for the size class. and the Fallen was pretty dang big

He was, although not as huge as originally planned. He's about the same height as Optimus is with the Jetpower leg extensions, that much I know by hart. I was thinking the ROTF/HFTD Voyager might be big enough next to the Studio Series figs since it's a pre-2011 Voyager mold. But I can't determine that for sure myself.

AoE is defenitely my least favorite movie. Especially because of that bulls#it dust-shard transformations of the 'cons. AoE Galvatron is still a great toy despite the shellformery though. But a SS verion is impossible at the standard voyager price point. Still, Unique Toys did manage to make a perfect Lockdown so at the MP scale and price point, making a 90% accurate and fully transformable AoE Galvatron is possible. Unique Toys should get to it already.

The particle-cloud transformation pissed me off soooo much. I was so glad it didn't return in TLK. I imagine if it had, HasTak's toy designers would have murdered the films' art department.

The thing about Lockdown is that he at least has some car bits to his robot mode, and a width in line with a sports car. But Galvatron... Galvatron is complete BS. And I think he's impossible to pull off without shellforming even at a larger scale. But even if he somehow [i[is[/i] possible, I think the BS level means he doesn't deserve the effort anyway.

Particle transformation was indeed complete LAZINESS. Sure, animating a complex transformation.is long and expensive, but I marveled each times when I saw it happen on screen. Then came AoE with it's extended middle finger...

As for Galvatron, it may still be possible to make a non shellforming transformation, but it would have to litterally turn inside-out with a 100 steps process.... Or is it? Because Knight Optimus is as much bullcrap as Galvatron, with no truck kibbles whatsoever. And tree 3P companies did a MP Knight Optimus. Unique Toy's being the best, of course. You could argue that Knight Optimus have truck kibbles in bot mode, but they are so fused with his "wet suit" body that it's as if he didn't have any.

With how they made Grimlocks twin dino head shoulders work I thought it was inspired I think they could make it work well enough to be fun.

But I think focusing on BB is better I want a Shatter with no face mask and a Soundwave and that Shockwave too.

Found some smokestacks for SS Prime! I initially tried using sections of the sprue from a model I was working on, but the glue wouldn’t really hold them in place. I ended up finding these thin, clear plastic covers that came with some paintbrushes I got a while ago, and they’re the perfect size to fit on the existing pieces!

Well, UT Challenger actually does make use of some of the truck mode. And some of the same tricks ROTF Leader Optimus does but taken to the next level. It also makes use of some turning inside out :P
The thing about Optimus' knight design... Even if a lot of the truck panels are unsuitable for a transforming toy to make use of because of how they're bent and fused to his body, they at least don't actively hinder doing a toy thanks to their sleek design and at least looking like they're supposed to be part of his truck mode. Optimus' build and the fact that he turns into a curvy long-nose truck with big fenders also help (for instance, it gives room to hide the legs like the ROTF Leader did(.

Galvatron, on the other hand.. nothing about him looks like it's part of an Earthly vehicle. Plus he's a lot more broad and bulky, and yet he's supposed to become a cab-over-engine semi with minimal fenders.
WANT:
* Cybertron Galvatron key, missiles
* Omega Lock
* Primus Cyber Key, coattail panel
* Powerlinx Comettor
* Cyb Jetfire R gun and missile
* RiD Galvy dragon head, beast arms
* DotM Ironhide windshield, R hood assy.
* ROTF Jetfire R JTFR panel
