Sending some more love to this toy, which is one of the best of the line and also the best deluxe Bumblebee ever given to us in any form

As I mentioned before, with this one especially, I think we're basically nearing perfection on deluxe-size movie Bees. Every element, from the more compressed chest, to the more angled door wings, to the forearm thickness, to the fenders being more flush with the thighs, to the calves being slimmed, etc. etc., is getting about as screen accurate at possible at this point. All that needs to be figured out now is how to get the front wheels to not stick so far out from the back.

I admit that I still prefer Battle Blade Bumblebee, for the size and the integrated cannon.

So as part of the Target sale insanity this week with all the reveals, I found myself with only 1 leader (at leader price) that I wanted (Doubledealer) and had to find something better than just a voyager or deluxe. Enter SS DotM megs at $33.99 on Target.com.

I'll basically be getting 2 leader figures for $67 with tax included. Not bad. It is a bit weird on the order though since Doubledealer won't ship until September and Megatron will be waiting for me to get home tomorrow.

My total for the order with tax was about $67, and they charged me $27 and change when they shipped Megatron. I did the math and it looks like they took the discount of $17 and spread it our proportionally across the 2 figures taking roughly $10 off Doubledealer and $7 off Megatron. That makes sense to me as that is how they would figure out the return value if you were to only return one 1/2 of a BOGO sale.

Might be worth noting in case Target does end up cancelling orders for anyone who pre-ordered and received 1/2 of their order already.

Ah, was not aware of that. I'm glad I didn't sell mine off. But yeah. He's got one of the coolest and most unique alt-modes I think... ever! And he exudes character!

I don't mind too much so long as they get the bugs outta him. He's gonna be bearing a lot of weight. He'll pretty much be the keystone of the combiner!

Does anyone can confirm if the studio series Soundwave's head is on a ball joint or is removable at all?
I'm asking because I think it would be cool to see the Revenge of The Fallen version head on the Dark of The Moon body.

I don't suppose someone has a Rampage with this same part error but on the opposite side? Hasbro said they're sending me a replacement figure, but since A. that might turn out to be someone else from the same assortment and B. I hate to waste an otherwise-good figure, I thought I'd ask.

Picked up Ww bee today and I hadn't realised how much I'd been spoilt with the ankle tilts in wfc. He's a bit floppy but I'm liking him.

I don't remember barricade being so fugly, not impressed with him and I think the orig toy/gimmick or interrogator may have been better but it's been awhile since I had them.

Sideswipe is neat, think he will be getting a scraped decepticon symbol and go with wfc figures as steel jaw. Kinda weird he doesn't have a faction symbol on him. I liked the original figure and I think I like this one the same, fake leg pistons are a nice touch.Odd that he seems to have had light piping when the backpack would hinder it.

So just got shockwave today and he has a wrong heel. Looks like he is going back. He is such a good looking figure though.

Thanks to Dengeki Hobby, we have some brand new images to show you today of the upcoming Transformers Studio Series Offroad Bumblebee and Sentinel Prime!

Offroad Bumblebee is a brand new mold deluxe class figure, and is based on the Jeep form Bumblebee temporarily took at the beginning of the Bumblebee movie. He faithfully recreates his appearance from that film, and transforms into a pretty nice little yellow Jeep. Here we get a look at him in a couple poses, showing that not only can be move, but he also has a pretty tight backpack, keeping barely any kibble on his body.

We also get our best look yet at Sentinel Prime, the main villain from Dark of the Moon, where he betrayed the Autobots and went insane trying to bring life back to his planet, at any cost. While we don't get any sort of look at him from behind, we do get a couple of poses out of him, as well as a look at his sword. Sadly, he does not come with a shield, though this means your Studio Series Ironhide can beat him up quicker.

These pics do show something kinda cool - Sentinel's sword is formed by panels on the side of his alt mode. It's actually a pretty cool way to do that, although I'm a little disappointed I won't get to spray paint the whole sword silver.

The molded detail on Sentinel is just insane. Studio Series as a whole has a lot of very impressive molded detail, but Sentinel looks to take it up another notch. Can't wait to get all that painted!

If I'm being honest, I don't think I'm going to pick this up.

It's a great figure, don't get me wrong
but I think the color scheme is too dark. I need some silver or a brighter red plastic. It just seems so dull and emo or edgy

He doesn't look like he's a complete shellformer, so he's already better.

Also, is it just me, or does it look like all of Sentinel's red is paint? It doesn't look like he has any red plastic, which contributes to the aforementioned dark color scheme.

I think his feet might be red plastic.
But yes, he does look to be cast almost entirely in black plastic with the red mainly supplied by paint. While it certainly achieves a dusky red effectively, it also gobbles a lot of the paint budget, leaving Sentinel looking very bare aside from that. Things are black that should be gray, and he's missing a lot of the gray and silver highlights that were present in the movie, not to mention details.
It makes me wonder if they just gave up trying to accommodate multiple colors in the mold layout.

No, he means he wants Studio Series to branch out into making figures for the Movieverse characters who got toys in the Movie 1, ROTF, 2010, DOTM, AOE, TLK, and BB toylines but who did not appear in the movies.

Yeah, he's talking about the likes of Stockade, Swindle, Dreadwing, Ransack, Deadlift...
Mind you, while it would be nice to see them revived for Studio Series... There's only so many slots to go around, and screen characters are taking up a lot.
