Takara Legends Blurr will be hard to beat...but if they give SS86 Blurr some kind of wind up perpetual movement gimmick it may be perfection...XD

I know the skeleton and blood are fake, but is the rest of that picture also fan art? It looks like a screencap from the movie, but Bambi never found his mother after Man shot her.

you never know with disney a lot of their animated films from the early years had scenes that would be called inappropriate today like Fantasia for example

What I mean is, the scene depicted in that artwork is not in the movie.Ultra Markus wrote:Sabrblade wrote:I know the skeleton and blood are fake, but is the rest of that picture also fan art? It looks like a screencap from the movie, but Bambi never found his mother after Man shot her.

I think the only thing wrong with TR Blurr is his color scheme. Elsewise it's a very solid figure. SS86 Blurr would have to be a 10/10 for me to replace him.84everfan wrote:Already looking forward to dropkicking my titans return blurr out my window. We finally have a definitive blurr.

In any case, they've done a lot of the Bayverse characters in Studio Series already, including a proper set of the Arcee triplets. Most of what we're missing is minor characters (Jolt, Devcon, "Garbage Haul", Scorn, Slug, Strafe (who are technically minor despite their big screen presence, the real KSI sentry, trash-truck triplets, Daytrader, Onslaught, Dreadbot, Mohawk), Structie redecoes, and characters/designs like Aventador Hot Rod who had probably been deemed adequately covered by the immediately-preceding TLK toyline. The major designs that could still use the SS touch are the Twins (just for scale), Hound, and Galvatron (although I can understand them not wanting to touch that design ever again at the regular retail level)
Besides that, it is the movie's 35th anniversary.
Besides that, it is the movie's 35th anniversary.
For my money it's largely a lateral move aside from the deco. And it's hard to tell if SS86 Blurr has the shield.84everfan wrote:Already looking forward to dropkicking my titans return blurr out my window. We finally have a definitive blurr.
I feel the same way, and having gone to the trouble of repainting my TR Blurr.. yeah, not seeing SS86 Blurr as a priority. Especially since he'll surely lack the play value the Headmaster gimmick gives TR Blurr. And, like... Of all the characters Titans Return turned into Headmasters, Blurr's head design meshed perfectly with it.Rodimus Prime wrote:Honestly, I think the only thing wrong with TR Blurr is his color scheme. With the shrinkage, and the shellforming he'd require at the retail level, he might have to be a Leader just to keep the robot the proper size relative to Optimus...Rodimus Prime wrote:SS damn well better have a voyager AoE Galvatron coming.
Frankly, I can understand the toy designers not wanting to touch AoE Galvatron ever again outside, of maybe Masterpiece.

A lot of people prefer their non-Headmasters stay non-Headmasters and will happily replace a good chunk of their Titans Return collection as non-Headmaster versions are released. Plus TR Blurr made the mistake of using both dark blue plastic and dark blue paint when they obviously should have used light blue on one or the other like Takara Tomy did.
I imagine Grimlock will be just a little bigger than Siege Ultra Magnus which is ideal. He looks to be very much a "classic" Leader like we still get in SS rather than a "modern" leader like we get in WfC.

Like I said, his colors are my only problem. I do understand most people wanting him to be regular, but I never minded the headmaster, because in robot mode you can't tell it's not a normal head (unlike some others) and in vehicle mode it doesn't matter.Emerje wrote:Rodimus Prime wrote:I think the only thing wrong with TR Blurr is his color scheme. Zelda, at this point I'll take any type of upgrade to AoE Galvatron, but if he ended up being a leader, with a robot mode that's only slightly taller than Prime but very bulky because of the vehicle panels, I'd be very happy. I wanted him to be leader class from the get-go, probably DoTM Megatron-sized, but I was resigned to a voyager figure that ends up shorter than Prime. I'll even buy a MPM version if that's all we get.

SS already did Galvatron, just that he was red, new head and called something else and only available in China
so chances are they would just release the same figure with better/different paint like they did Cog.
Wouldn't mind seeing proper Bumblebee triple changing villains even if it involved clip on pieces like the garage bee figure. Also Ratchet (ss4) would need a redo for me, vehicle mode is tiny compared to other ss car bots.

What are you talking about? I don't think that was an official figure as we've certainly never covered anything like that. It was likely a ko of some sort.
Also doubtful you'd get a redo on Ratchet because of alt mode scale as to the designers, only bot mode scale mattered.

JD Red Knight, some people class it as studio series -I even thought it had a SS number but it looks like it's just a unspecified generations toy by the look of the box.

There needs to be, that design deserves another go, imagine the quality build they could make with the type of figures being put out now.
Don't forget we are also still missing The Fallen in the SS line, so another big bad that has not had a toy.
TLK con crew still needs completed.
We're still missing several RotF/DotM Autobots: Jolt, Dino, Que, the Twins, maybe an Ironhide repaint with new guns for DotM. Hot Rod still needs a proper deluxe toy, the TLK one was not only an exclusive, but also not particularly accurate, Hot Rod needed to be based on a Bumblebee design instead of a Lockdown one.

I know they just released some of these a couple years back however I am excited to finally get proper versions (prior ones were nice BUT these are the figs we have always wanted). That is how I feel I don't give a F what anyone else thinks.
Not a sheeple.
Think for yourself, don't let the magic TV box and social media do the thinking for you.
Question EVERYTHING!!
Just because you have a youtube review channel doesn't make you special.
I look forward to attending a Botcon soon only to settle matters with several idiots in person (yes this is a threat).

Right I see, a promotional toy for a China only website, yeah he's definitely not part of studio series just a reuse of AoE Galvatron, we're more likely going to get a new mold of him

They shouldn't, it's just a retool of the AOE Galvatron figure, not a SS figure, definitely doesn't qualify as a SS Galvatron. I don't think any retooled AOE figures are in SS, just retooled TLK figures, though I could be forgetting something. There's SS Drift which was a retool of TLK Drift which was a retool of AOE Drift...

Yeah, that's kinda surprising since they have done 3 Megatrons, 2 Starscreams and Sentinel Prime. I figured The Fallen was going to come out right after Jetfire. Leader or voyager?D-Maximal_Primal wrote:Rodimus Prime wrote:SS damn well better have a voyager AoE Galvatron coming.

It was pointed out earlier that SS numbers 70-85 are still missing, and haven't been hinted at or speculated on. That's 16 figures. Assuming the line ends with the 86 designation. (Which I doubt.)TLK con crew still needs completed.

Needs to be Leader. He is a big character, he needs the bigger toy spot.

I very much doubt the line will end at #86.
Alt mode literally does not matter here. His entire robot mode design was based off of Bumblebee, parts when to the same places, he had the style of chest and the wings, the arm designs were based on Bee, etc. Hot Rod's final robot mode design was recognizably from Bee, which was the point, the final design was chosen so that they would be/look similar as they were designed as "brothers in arms".
so a Hot Rod retooled from a Bumblebee would work perfectly, just change the alt mode shell and some of the more minor details to match in robot mode, and there you go.

That was my suggestion, but even I don't think it will end there. To be clear, the suggestion was mostly in jest as wouldn't that be the ultimate troll job of the Warden design team to "end" SS with TFTM figures.
But looking at the numbers is useful in that it should confirm that we will at least get numbers 70-85, which would break down into 2 more full waves if they go 4-2-2 on deluxe-voyager-leader.
What I'm really hoping to find out tomorrow is whether we will get complete waves of SS86, or if they will mix in some SS86 with some of the next bayverse ones.
I'm thinking it will be a full wave since we have some package shots of an almost full wave of SS86 figures and nothing on any bayverse figures yet.

I'm thinking it will be a full wave since we have some package shots of an almost full wave of SS86 figures and nothing on any bayverse figures yet.
I almost feel like I would be OK with it being 1 wave, get it out of their system sort of thing.
Unfortunately the rumors also have a Voyager Wreck-Gar, so they are already looking to be more than 1 full wave, assuming Gnaw and Slag w/ Daniel are the ones missing from the wave shown in the package shots.

I very much doubt the line will end at #86.
That was my suggestion, but even I don't think it will end there. To be clear, the suggestion was mostly in jest as wouldn't that be the ultimate troll job of the Warden design team to "end" SS with TFTM figures.

The math doesn't add up unless Hasbro changes the number of figures per wave. We have the package shots of 6 figures with 3 more rumored. There isn't room for Wreck-Gar in this wave with Hot Rod and Scourge already eating up the Voyager slots unless they decide to go with 3 voyagers for this wave.
