Dr Va'al wrote:It looks like the design leak has not been plugged, as we have a fresh new image for the new Transformers: The Last Knight toyline, in the possible form (treat this as rumour until we know better) of leader of the Autobots Optimus Prime! The design shares some features with the Age of Extinction look, but looks a lot more streamlined in robot mode - check it out mirrored below from a variety of sources, and let us know what you think in the Energon Pub!

I'm sure we can expect Takara to do something about that.william-james88 wrote:But damn, he needs mroe paint apps.

Do you own Armour Knight? Thats a toy you just have to own to see how awesome it is. The shinyness just distracts you so much from the back kibble that it all just dissapears.

I don't own him, but GAWSH I wanted him. I was referring to how awesome the mold is on the new one. Just image this guy with the extra molding and paint of AK OP!

Oh no argument there silly, thats why I was all torn up earlier. I like my AD 31 but you bet yourass I would have preferred getting that deco on a mold that doesnt have that insane backpack.
One thing to take note though, looking at those shoulder pins, this isnt a leader but more like a voyager. There could be a silver lining there since it wouldnt be like replacing AD31 and I could have a prime looking that way that scales with my OS Lockdown.

? What's that got to do with anything? Did either of the new candidates put in their manifesto that shutting down Toy Fair would be a priority or something?

You read too much into what I say.

Since Hasbro was going by preliminary designs to make the AOE toys, blame ILM for changing the CGI models' designs from the ones they gave Hasbro to base the toys off of.SlyTF1 wrote:Looks awesome. Much better than any of the AOE figures. I HATED how inaccurate the shoulder pads were on those things.

AoE was the worst. I don't even own it.

You know what would be a better way to make Transformers more relatable to people? Maybe you should let them have actual personalities.
Freakin' Rescue Bots gets that right, and it's meant to be accessible by Preschoolers. And yet the big-money summer blockbuster series either doesn't understand or doesn't care that the Transformers are the main characters in most versions.
And yeah, I walked out of AoE wishing I'd never walked in.
What was Arcee's personality? Or Barricade's? Or Brawl's? Blackout's? Scorponok's? Bonecrusher's? Sideswipe's? Sideways's? Any of the Constructicons's? Ravage's? Grindor's? Jolt's? Dino's? Any of the Wreckers's? Any of the Dreads's? Any of the Dinobots's? Shockwave's? Even Soundwave's?SlyTF1 wrote:Zeedust wrote:1984forever wrote:Looks more like Alpha Trion than Optimus Prime. In just the films, I mean, not in any external media.
(I'll ask nothing of the KSI Prototypes as they get a pass for deliberately being personality-less drones)
