Kurona wrote:Drift was a bit of a non-entity in AHM. Which is a bit weird, since it was his debut... he had like two lines but that's it. You could've removed him and no-one would notice. I suppose his movie counterpart shares that in common at least![]()
In any case let's not get into that little debate again. We've already gone through it on the actual movie thread, no need for the toy thread to have it too.

Yes. Now go to your room and don't play with yourself.
Carnivius_Prime wrote:Shane McCarthy who created IDW Drift said movie Drift is a racist stereotype (according to what I'm reading on TFWiki and I seem to recall him commenting in a tweet about the face colour). I don't really know much about the guy except I bought the first couple of issues of All Hail Megatron and no more. And I didn't much like IDW Drift (apparently he got more likable?) and I like movie Drift.
Come to think of it I have figures of both but IDW Drift is missing a leg and came in a big bundle of broken Transformers I got from charity shop. Oh I could have it posed so it looks like movie Drift been slicing and dicing him but I'm much too busy right now about to play new map on Uncharted 4 multiplayer.

Like, with cheetor, inferno, megs, the movie hound, megs and leader megs, they all seem to have really started pushing boundaries with their respective designs, they're amazing to see.

The movie designs this time around, or at least the new ones, are definitely a step up, as are the other hastak lines at the moment in my opinion

MP's, movie line and rid, yes, I've seen nothing that stands out as a step-up in the tr line

Kurona wrote:Being fair, I think TR's lack of intuition isn't so much a lack of talent on the designer's side; but more that the leading design ethos is basically G1 but also they can do more than move their shoulders now. That doesn't mean there can't be some fantastic design despite that, and we have seen quite a few examples - Triggerhappy, Megatron, Topspin - but it is a huge inhibition. God I miss Thrilling 30.
D-Maximus_Prime wrote:..and then you look at the difference between Age of Extinction and The Last Knight. So much better really. Finally got Hound right, much better Transformations, and what appears to be a superior leader mold!
