See, this is what I was thinking. Making Powermaster Optimus Prime out of Ultra Magnus is fine and all, but if there isn't at least a small regular Prime that fits inside the Japanese are going to angry. They're going to want both Ginrai and Super Ginrai in this, the later alone isn't enough. And don't even think of remolding Minimus Ambus into Ginrai.
Emerje
To be fair they did just release Ultra Magnus without a small prime cab AND Alpha Trion with fiction putting him inside Magnus. If they were making an MP Ginrai then they would be upset if the cab wasn't its own figure but this isn't a MP and cuts have to be taken somewhere.
Sure, but that was just them shoehorning it to the nth degree. The alternatives were to either leave the little figure out completely or try to explain who Minimus Ambus is. The whole thing was made by Hasbro's design from the comics where there isn't a white Prime inside. Takara Tomy themselves made MP Magnus without a Prime body so that was clearly acceptable for the Legends figure. On the flip side they've never made a Transforming Super Ginrai that couldn't stand alone as regular Ginrai as well. It'd be a lot harder to explain why human Ginrai's Transtector goes directly to Super Ginrai without regular Transtector Ginrai in between.
Emerje
Place it sometime after Super God Masterforce or Victory (sometime after the transector gets its own mind and the human Ginrai isn't needed) and have the human Ginrai placed in some situation where he has to fight the Decepticons again and he has a new transector made for him. bam. problem solved.
Yeah but in america we had Hi-Q so their not gonna get rid of the powermaster assuming this plus Ginrai still had the engine block attached to him after no longer being a transector

I'll make it even easier for ya. All of the pics have been put together in their own galleries in the NYCC 2015 Events section.CombaticonsCombine? wrote:Sabrblade wrote:It's all in the various NYCC coverage threads.chuckdawg1999 wrote:Nobody has shared the images and videos in this thread?
For the sake of convenience, however, could someone post them here?
That way, we don't have to sift through 2-3 fairly long coverage posts.
Thanks.

Most believe it to be Powermaster Optimus Prime, possibly heavily retooled from Ultra Magnus.Neuron wrote:Hey you know that other in-announced leader class figure?who do you think it is?

RAR wrote:No idea which is accurate I just thought I'd mention that there was a rumour of a name change and Weirdwolf might not be called his usual name and it looks like there is a pretty reasonable chance the same is also true of Skullcruncher too.
I just thought I'd mention it as so far characters having the correct name is almost becoming the exception than the rule with Titan's Returns the example that are believed to have the correct name including : Blaster, Galvatron, Sentinel Prime, Hardhead and Nighbeat.
And many of the others not having he name that represents who they most resemble. likewise the heads themselves are little muddled up identity wise too.
So Wolfwire Wirewolf or something like that ( I prefer Wired Wolf if they can't use Weird Wolf) seemed a legitimate sounding rumour worth mentioning especially after I'd just twigged Skullcruncher has the wrong name on the slide show.
