I personally dont think the mold is a holdover from that line. I reallt think the thrilling 30 Brawn was just a redeco of gears that never happened. That head is just more Brawn than anything else.

Yes. And even when the helmet is on, the crest is no longer angled.

Btw, I hope Takara will also make a retool of Greatshot from this base design. Again, another opportunity to play with a JP specific character.

I am assuming that the backstory for Sixshot in the JP verse would have him be a good guy by now despite wearing the Destron sigil.

I think more of a more poseable G1 version. Similar to Sixshot.

Broadside: Blunderbuss (Bang?)
Sky Shadow: Ominus (like "Ominous")

Naruto the most exposed with the headband that is.

I spoke with the Gnaw and Bumblebee designer at SDCC. He's a fresh hire in the last 18 months or so.

I doubt they're thrilling 30 holdovers so much as they're probably side projects for new hires. It seems to me like young designers cut their teeth on Legends figures and Hasbro may be a bit more forgiving about some of the brand requirements, with more of an approach that says, "If it looks good, we'll use it."

I never said it was a rip off. All I stated was the crest in the original Six shot was more arched while now it reminded me of Naruto's, more horizontal. In fact, if not for WJ88, I would not have seen/known of the inner headband with the kanji characters on the headmaster part. I was focused on the head/helmet casing.

I don't know what the issue is with you with Naruto anyway. I don't think only one individual has the monopoly of being such an expert in various anime genres in this case ninjitsu lore. Ninja Scroll, Gatchaman, various Sega and Koei Tecmo and Konami games have squeezed the genre for all it's worth but aside from Naruto, those I mentioned don't have the obiquitous headband that the Naruto series have like in droves

What's the chip on your shoulder with Naruto anyway? He like hurt your feelings or what?

Only things I'm excited about from this was Breakaway, the tm's, and sixshot (kind of) broadside looks cool, his boat mode is epic, and his jet mode is just okay. Couldn't care less for everything else revealed - hasbro's saving me a lot of money

Its also an homage to the G1 Black Shadow (and the generations one) which also had a part in the front that could detach.





This made me giddy as it showed that there was thought from the start that the mold would be shared between both Sky Shadow and Overlord with gimicks homaging both these classic toys.

Are any of you excited to find Titans Return Leader Soundwave? Do you like the Blaster mold enough to get this version? Well if yes, then I have some good news for you, he's coming out at retail. As with many toys this year, he has appeared in Canada first with this specific sighting coming from a Walmart in Montreal, Quebec, but he should surely fly over to the states sooner than later. Yes it is, but its not like me or all my fellow canadien collector buddies are paid in US$.

I mean you are totally right that with the current exchange, he is cheaper, but so is everything else in Canada right now because of the exchange. If you were working in canada, you would be paid in the piss poor currency too and that price to you would be $54 and not $40. You know what I mean right? If they priced everything in canada to match the US prices inclduing the exchange, then things would become unaffordable to some.
