I think that toy is superior simply for the alt mode use. it gives h the right kibble in robot mode.

The Decepticon Symbols/Insignias are different, yup, that's the Movie Decepticons Insignias, i wonder why it ain't a symbol of :CON:

I bet you could easily get a Misfire out of that Topspin mold and a Crosshairs out of that Kup.I can remember seeing a bajillion Topspin KO's as a kid.

Both happen to be part of the rumored list of figures, I've noted them as such for now. Unfortunately, Slugslinger hasn't been alluded to yet, nor have Sureshot and Pointblank.

The one I got for my birthday as a kid exploded the first time it tried to flip into bot mode. Great gift!

So I'm definitely getting all of this wave for sure. My only complaint (and I can't believe nobody has brought this up) is that Nightbeat is getting a THIRD release!

Wave 1
Wave 2 Revision 1
Wave 4

Why? Why so many, knowing that a lot of stores didn't get proper wave 2 and missed out on Clobber (so happy Skytread is getting another run) and that we're supposed to have a Deluxe Nightbeat in wave 5 or 6? It's not even that great of a Titan Master, possibly the worst of the line (though Takara Tomy did wonders with the repaint). That's just crazy, wave 4 should be Repugnus, Shuffler, Skytread, and Clobber. Seriously, Skytread and Clobber are leaving a gap in my TM collection and I'll probably never see Clobber in the wild.

(Cue someone complaining about how Clobber and Skytread are clogging shelves in their state/country.)

Topspin is still my favorite jumpstarter, and he even still works! Twintwist never successfully did his thang, tho

That said, I still can't believe how amazing this Deluxe version of Topspin looks - but I also enjoyed how his bot mode looked back in 1985, and didn't have an issue with his alt mode. He was still cooler looking than the Throttlebots or an inside-bot of a Pretender!

I also agree Quake's body will make a great transtector for other Cons. :CON:

Of the latest wave of Titan Masters, Sawback is turning out to be my fave - I thought it was gonna be Fangry, but there's something special about Lione.....er, Sawback. :BOT:

Sureshot would be nice to have as a new mould - he'd suit the theme and there are a few other buggies if they wanted to remould him but I like his look and colours. - I still fish out the original from time to time - he's a fun fiddle-former as he's so quick to Transform and roll around.

Also the colours would complement Sawback nicely too.

Hasbro did say they intend to finish teams, though I don't think they were clear if they meant with Titans Return specifically or with all of Prime Wars. If they make a firetruck for Hosehead should it be Deluxe or Voyager?

Brawn gets two toys in this range?

Sky Shadow is just taunting me with this Thunderwing-ness but I want a Voyager class Thunderwing dammit, not Leader, not the Deluxe... though a good quality scaled up KO of the deluxe would suffice for now if anyone knows of such an item...

I may get Kup even just to have him with Blurr and Hot Rod. Topspin is likely just cos he's turned out so well. Also I can take his head and place it under Megatron's foot in the Time Wars cover repro I wanna do with my Megatron and repainted Galvatron. Not sure what to use for Battletrap, that Gen Springer retool is likely too expensive and too big a scale for what I want.

I have anxiety, depression and aspergers syndrome so my behaviour can be erratic. I don't mean offense to anyone. Just very picky about my Transformers collecting. You're all cool! :)

Likes: Bayverse, Marvel UK G1, Geoff Senior art, '86 movie (more for style/soundtrack rather than Star Wars plot)
Dislikes: Bumblebee movie (lousy rehashed dumb crud), TFA, G1 cartoon, IDW G1, BW/BM, MP. The entire concept of Autobot Megatron

Much as I dislike the idea of Krok being a Skullsmasher redeco as it doesn't really fit... it's ironically a hidden blessing for me. I really wanted that mold, but due to funds I'm limiting myself to just MTMTE characters. And Krok happens to be one of my new favourites

I already have Skullcruncher, and as nice as that deco is on him...I think I'll try and track down the Club Krok for a not-horrible price. Which means I'll be waiting for decades, but oh well, Krok isn't exactly high-up my list of priority characters. I will say, for a redeco he does look cool, and I'm almost tempted to get him as a companion for 'Cruncher as "The Toothy Twins" or something, but between the fact that AFAIK the Bomber Megatron mold is awesome and my obsession with mold diversity...hmm. Maybe.

Quake I wish had some retooled parts beyond his face. A new cannon for him to differentiate him from Hardhead would have been awesome. The colours rock though, and the weapon is 5mm compatible so who knows, perhaps (though I doubt it).

Actually, I'll tell you a potential reuse for the Prime/Octane mold, perhaps for a theoretical new club/BotCon replacement: Clench!

Triggerhappy is obviously Misfire. I think Slugslinger is a more likely retool out of Topspin, personally.

Ah, that's a pity. I thought engineering wise it looked pretty good, and aesthetically I personally love it, but IIRC it DID come from a relative "dark age" for Transformers.

I've had no QC issues with any of the three versions of the mold I own: Hasbro Megatron, Dreadwing, and TFSS Krok. If anything, I'd say that my Dreadwing and Krok versions feel tighter and more solid than my Megatron does.

If stealth bomba Megz had been voyager or leader class, it would have been a LOT more impressive. Not the most intuitive to transform either, but a decent figure nonetheless.

And hey, TR deluxes are known for easily being fan-mode-ed. I'm sure someone will come up with some sort of third spaceship transformation for Krok and maybe even come out with an extra cockpit piece on Shapeways or somewhere of the like.

I actually didn't know that Krok is officially a Monoformer in IDW. I just thought the G1 toy never had an alt mode, but IDW Krok had a spaceship mode or something.

And therein does lie a bit of a problem - of the two modern Kroks we've gotten, one has the correct alt-mode kibble (the stealth bomber parts match the spaceship-looking parts on Krok's body), but the wrong body shape and type. The other one has the wrong alt-mode kibble, but the correct body shape and type.

Yep I bought takaras megs when they were selling them on ebay for like 6 bucks. Truh be told it's one of my favorite figures, but I agree it's too small. If I could find a krok, I'd buy it, but They aren't buyable anywhere.
