Don't pay too much heed to it. Uprising was doing "virtual redecos" of characters left and right, in addition to using preexisting toys of characters, hence its use of Legends LG41 Leo Prime as the Beast Upgrade form of Lio Convoy.

I do remember, around the time we were first hearing about Tryp (I think about when his leg was revealed?) we were told that he would incorporate the Titanmaster gimmick in a "creative way" or something like that. I suppose Fill Tilt being a Headmaster, rather than Tryp himself, technically counts as a creative implementation, but I was really hoping for something totally off-the-wall insane - for example imagine, if you will, a giant robot city dinosaur with a necklace of severed heads around his neck, using all their powers simultaneously. (I mean obviously that won't be the case, but it's fun to imagine what crazy stuff they could do with TMs beside just "little guy becomes big guy's head".)

Surprisingly, TR distribution has been really great in my area so far - i.e. relatively rural Australia, like not even close to any major cities. The first 3 Deluxe waves turned up in good numbers at both local department stores in good time - about 1 month apart, with the first being a bit late compared to the rest of the world and the third being a little early. So now that Wave 4 hasn't shown up yet I'm starting to get rather antsy... man, I'm so spoiled

As we wait to finally see some pics of the Blitzwing pre-tool of Titans Return Voyager Megatron, I'm hoping we get a pleasant surprise in the form of three Titan Masters for him, one for each of his Transformers Animated faces. I know a lot of people don't like the Thrilling 30 Blitzwing from a few years back, mainly because of the wonky shoulders, but I appreciated the face changing gimmick quite a bit. It would be a shame to loose that now. I know it's not really a thing for the G1 character, but it's a fun little option, nonetheless.

That would be a perfect use of the Titan Master gimmick... but unfortunately the current design team seems a bit too bogged down in Absolute-G1-accuracy-to-the-max-and-maybe-sometimes-we-throw-a-bone-to-IDW-and-Armada...

Would it not have to cost more than a regular voyager if you included two extra titan masters? I'm not really bothered either way as I own and prefer the Megatron version but yeah it seems unlikely Hasbro would include two extra little figures if trying to keep the costs the same

True, but I doubt they would even do the alternate Animated faces as separate Titan Masters.
Which is something I think is a real missed opportunity by Hasbro. Instead of Flywheels or Brawn or Repugnus or whoever we could have gotten an IDW Perceptor face or a Rebirth-accurate Brainstorm face or something.

Funny, a friend of mine showed me some artwork by the dude who did the Beetras mecha designs. Awesome stuff I tells yer. IIRC he did work on Gall Force too (which I REALLY need to watch).

Not gonna lie, I'd buy the hell out of Headmasters of Blitzwing's alternate faces. Never watched Animated (to my deep shame) but I loved the idea of a split personality Transformer.

Well i think they're going the more G1 route with Blitzwing which didn't have the rotating faces gimmick, i think that only came into force with Transformers Animated & the thrilling 30 generations figure(& maybe some of the 3p ones do it...i dunno?) so i doubt that this one'll have it....but it would've been a nice added bonus if it did

but i wouldn't give up hope....coz maybe Takara will add that feature(yeah i know....please keep Takara topic in the Takara threads)

On the plus side, with the magic of Shapeways one has only to buy two spare Skytreads and replace the faceplates with the appropriate 3D printed faces, and hey presto- swappable Headmaster "personalities"!. Obviously they'll need painting, and you'll want to order them in the best detail possible (I'd recommend High Detail Black Arcylate or Frosted Extreme Detail). Theoretically you could just buy the faceplates and swap them out on the one Headmaster body, but A: Then they've got nowhere to go when they aren't in use, and B: Having to unscrew and rescrew the faceplates might damage them over time (especially the 3D printed ones). Plus, if you go the Skytread route he then has two of those adorable quad-tanks as minions.

There was some nice KO's that took the Deluxe Insecticons and adapted them to make other insects to different kind of beetles and even a Praying Mantis.

So those would be a great inspiration for turning the Insecticons into one heck or a fighting force - I don't think it's ever likely to happen but it would have been nice to see someone considering different head pieces for a beetle Transformer at least - especially with the Beetle types they had in Transformers Prime as a possible inspiration too.

Shame they didn't think to make a 3 step Prime like Insecticon for RID too.

The 3 different Titan masters with the 3 faces would be a cool gimmick that I would appreciate and enjoy, seeing as how I do love animated. It most likely won't happen, but it is a neat thought!

While the US is finally able to get Sixshot (albeit online), that leader has been out in Canada for a while and with wave 4 of Titans Return creeping up everywhere it was only a matter of time before we got our first sighing of the Leader figure for that wave. Sky Shadow was found at an Ontario Walmart according to a tweet from Ryan Sheehey.

What is odd about all this is that while he appears at a Canadian Walmart before the US even sees Sixshot at retail, Sixshot has yet to appear at Canadian Toysrus stores. So far, in North America, only Walmart Canada has recieved either Sixshot or Sky Shadow at brick and mortar. So, how many of you would actually buy this toy on site full price if you saw it in Walmart today?

Not me. Too big and expensive for a character I care nothing about other than he's previously used retools of Thunderwing toys.

Even worse, Soundwave finally made a retail appearance in the Chicago area this week, while Sixshot finally came available online. I got my Soundwave from BBTS with Takara Computron, so he was available WAAAY earlier online than in store. So by that measure, Sixshot will finally hit retail stores in June, Sky Shadow will be available online for the US in about June and might finally hit stores before Christmas.

Considering Walmart in the U.S. has reduced Leaders to just under $40.00 I totally would..

Still haven't seen a Soundwave in the wild, and am still seeing CW Skywarps...

Sky Shadow is buy on sight at full price for me
