What do I have to do to make those real? Dayum those look beautiful renditions. What Megatron is that? I don't recognise it. Unless I'm being dense. Or it's a Japanese mould. Which explains it. Can those toys actually transform like that?

Frankly, I'm surprised you or any hardcore BW fan here hasn't read Uprising yet, as it's arguably the best BW fiction ever written besides the show itself.

Ha! Galvatron. He would have been my second guess, but I'm not that familier with the two Japanese BW shows or their toys so don't always recognise some of them on sight. And since you said their master, I assumed it was a Megatron, since Megatron was their master in BM.


I haven't read it because it's funpub. I was never interested in subbing to their club so never got the issues. If you know if the stories were collected in a trade or some means of reading it, please let me know. I keep hearing good stuff about Uprising.

I wonder if they were to do a Slugslinger if they would have both cockpits Titanmaster compatible (which I hope is the case), or have two faux cockpits with a real seat or something in the back. Hope it's the former.

Unfortunately I feel it'd be two faux cockpits purely because two Titan Master-accomodating cockpits on a deluxe would be far too large.

And just to steer back on topic.... Slugslinger will have to have fake cockpits. Can you imagine two cockpits the size of Megatron's on a deluxe? Even one of those would be too big. Unless they make Slugslinger a voyager. I can see them doing proper cockpits then. But he'd better suit a deluxe size.

If Slugslinger's going to have fake cockpits, then I wonder how they're gonna incorporate Titanmaster storage in vehicle mode? Because every Deluxe has had a cockpit or some form of compartment for the TM to sit/be stored.

They could do a thing where instead of putting the cockpits in the actual cones, they put them in the jet body, and then just have cones extending from them. Still though, it wouldn't look like Slugslinger.

If that's the case, I'd probably just stick the titanmaster in there and act like it's just storage for the head.

This is what I was thinking. Store the TM in an unseen or unobtrusive compartment. It's a shame, really, because have two usable cockpits would actually be super cool.

There could be two cockpits but they are just squished together in one piece.

But then you wouldn't have the separate noses. And if he's using the Topspin body there's really no other way around, it has to be two fake cockpits and one real one in the middle that maybe blends in with the rest of the body (but still translucent). That's assuming they even remold him and don't just do a straight repaint with a new head.

Speaking of fake cockpits....Jetfire is the perfect example of that....it has a fake one as part of the chest and a real one in jet mode

No, he's actually a bad example. For Slugslinger, they are talking about 2 fake cockpits and 1 real one all in the same mode. Jetfire (and the seekers) have the fake cockpit in robot mode to homage the G1 robot modes and because the engineering/transformation wouldn't allow for the plane cockpit to become the chest. Also, both of Jetfirs cockpits are "fake" in that neither one can open for a titan master and are not part of the gimmick for the Thrilling 30/CW lines.

In the case of Slugslinger from Topspin, you are talking about all 3 cockpits in the same mode, with 1 being the main gimmick for the line and the other 2 to homage the G1 vehicle mode.

Close, but not quite the same thing.

Which is Titans Return loss i guess, as they would've suited the TM gimmick

Where does Topspin's titanmaster get stored in vehicle mode? If we think Slugslinger would have the same mold then it would surely be in the same place.

Well then its simple, the titan master would still end up there, but it wouldnt be translucent and instead there would be translucent plastic used for the two fake cockpits in the front.
