Well, I'll do some customs then.

A long time ago I had an idea for an Overlord concept that was literally half-male, half-female, split down the middle into left and right rather than top and bottom (with the tank forming the right, male half of his body and the jet forming the left, female half). A shame it'd be hideously difficult to engineer because it'd be kinda neat.

Clearly we are two very different Transformers fans, and that's okay. I have never watched Masterforce so my only connection to Overlord is through the IDW comics. In that sense, Carnifex is a beautiful representation of that design. Meanwhile TR Overlord is a faithful version of the cartoon model and the G1 toy, which in my opinion is an inferior design. It's blocky all the way through, has little prominent detail, and includes a bland facesculpt. The legs also seem to be too skinny for the upper body, which is rather large on the TR figure. Carnifex is in lovely proportion, is full of sculpted detail, has angles other than 90 degree angles, and both headsculpts were taken from the art perfectly.

Now this is just my opinion and no I don't insist on third party, but when a third party company does what I like and HasTak doesn't I have to consider the other option. I didn't intend this to turn into a lengthy "official vs third party" post so my apologies.

Looks like the wave 5 deluxes and titan masters are up for pre-order on BBTS.

And that's one of the sticking points for getting Sky Shadow. I wonder how Overlord would look with Onimus as a head.

I'd love to see that creation, Kanra. It'd be cool to get even more accurate incarnations of Giga & Mega.

I'd not mind a Nemesis Vector Prime in Tie fighter colours either it would suit the Star Wars like appearance of his alt mode and also tie to the Knights I wonder if they plan to use non-Movie moulds at all for anything like that ?

Beast Wars Transmetal Rampage looks kinda demonic too so perhaps he could be some sort of Grand Infernocon or something like that.

I say pthibbit to your citing the IDW comics as validation for Carnifex's looks (And not even because of my feelings about the comics in general), because not all of them are illustrated with the robots done in the "G1 doing low-budget movieverse cosplay"/"Transformers: Prime wannabe" aesthetic (which I find a hideous knockoff of the things it's trying to look like). Plenty have been drawn with a more traditional blocky G1 style including, from what I've seen, some of Overlord's major appearances like "Last Stand of the Wreckers".

Looking at pictures and the render, the TR version has plenty of molded detail and retains a decent amount of features from the original toy (like the flip-down chest gun and the underside cockpit for the base mode's high tower), about as much as could be expected of a Generations Leader-class toy (as opposed to a 2001!RiD or Unicron Trilogy Leader-class toy). As I've said, I think it's the size class (Leader instead of Supreme) that's his greatest shortcoming.

Easy mode would be to take two Titan Masters and mod them to be engine blocks.

HARD and EPIC mode would be to make a MAD creation that would make the average hipster-SJW-special-pronom-advocating college student happy. It would be an insane design. The bot would be 100% original. Separated at the vertical in the center, the left side would be female meaning very feminine, with curves and a breast. On the right side it would be male, muscular and burly. The face would be like Batman's Two-Faces. Female on the left, male on the right. Both halves then separate. The Female half transform into a jet while the male one transform into a tank.



I dunno if I'll ever do that one because it may sound way to insane to be feasible... Or is it?

Also, i can sense that the Beast Wars Uprising Homage is coming, Clever.

Also, I'm happy about them as new molds (Apeface/Snapdragon )

If they ever do the duo, repaining them as Optimus Primal and Megs would be brilliant. But for the love of Primus, make the repaints exclusives while Apeface / Snapdragon a VERY wide release.

The Only Problems left were their Heads
Spasma's head would be dual convertible, Animal Head modes or Robot modes
Same as Krunk

It would be more Awesome if they got a Horrorcon insignia (That is, mostly this insignia i hope)
Snapdragon is based on a very much common SR-71 Blackbirds

Misfire looks amazing. His guns do not. I know they're doing the chair-gun gimmick but come on.

In more Transformers Titans Return news today, we have a couple of video reviews for new and upcoming figures in the line! Not quite sure why me specifically... but yes, I am VERY happy Beast Wars was my second favourite Transformers cartoon (just behind Animated; but only just) so it's wonderful to see it get this level of representation again. Add onto that that we're apparently getting Apeface and Snapdragon who have some of the most beautiful G1 Jet modes imo and that's just lovely.

I wonder if that hidden Deluxe listing is World War II Bumblebee if they don't make him now - I'd want him released as a prelude to the 2018 Movie at least. he needs a toy i'd say.

I gotta have Misfire and Windblade!

Although I have the previous deluxe, I ordered this TR windblade as she seems sturdier especially in jet mode... looking forward tho I'm surprised they didn't hide the arms or st least hands better

Damnation...okay HasTak this will be my 3rd and last Windblade to end all figures Windblade for me! This newest Windblade has the greatest face sculpt of all IMO.

How cool this mold could have been for Slipstream had it come sooner.
