In the anime and toy bio, yes (technically his live Transtector), but in the manga he was built from scratch.

Takara Tomy has been more likely to follow the anime above all else in Legends, only using other fiction sources when they can make sense of it.

Omega and Scorponok were the other two options in the poll, so they are going to do them at some point. If they weren't they wouldn't have put them in the poll.

That's still an assumption. The goal was to choose the next Titan, but we don't know how many votes each one got (unless I missed it, I haven't seen it brought up). Hypothetically, if Trypticon got 10,000 votes and Omega Supreme got 500 we aren't getting an Omega Supreme Titan and the whole poll backfired on us.

It was to choose which one was next. While I do like to be cynical about these things I doubt Hasbro would read 80% voting for Trypticon and like 3% voting for Omega Supreme (just as an example) as meaning no-one wants Omega Supreme when the poll was specifically about which one you wanted first. It was basically Hasbro going "we've got these designs in the oven, which one do you wanna take out first?"

To preface, I'm not investigating this at all, but I'm not seeing news of this development anywhere else online. Are we sure that the entire line is sold out everywhere because one person couldn't get an online order filled from one place? Sounds pretty unsupported to me.

I believe the info is legit, but many, many people are misreading/misinterpreting it. That 1 place is Hasbro, the manufacturer. They are out of the 1st 2 waves, which is common for a new line. Most brick and mortar stores (Walmart/TRU/Target) still have the stock they initially bought, but haven't put it out yet. Online places that order directly from Hasbro (like BBTS, etc.) will not be able to order more since Hasbro is now out. So bottom line is, don't hesitate if/when you finally see one of the brick and mortar stores, and there is likely no chance of getting it from HTS with a promo code.

Right, but this is kind of a different case - it's the Titan Class. They now have a schedule whereby they roll out one Titan per year.
And seeing as there's no better G1 Titan candidates than Scorponok and Omega Supreme (aside from, of course, those already done) then if they get scrapped I'd argue the Titan Class is scrapped.

If this is late gomen........did Hb give out the names of the 2 Tm with Blackshadow?

More likely poor distribution by Hb again. Remember TFA Arcee? She had a very "efficient" distribution that "all" the fans were very much satisfied to be able to get their versions.

This topic of Titans class figures is extremely interesting to me...

I have no real clue about this, but seems to me that just because a figure is listed in a poll, that doesn't guarantee that it's going to be made. That would be awesome and ideal for us, but it kinda makes sense that whoever got the least amount of love is going to be put-off indefinitely, and maybe until if/when there's a ridiculously huge boom in sales.

I also wonder if there would ever be a future Generations line that produces slightly fewer figures in all other classes so the budget accommodates a Titans class figure, at the same time almost creating a "cushion" in case the line overall doesn't sell well. I could be wrong, but Metro and Maxx are the only Titans that can share molding, no??
Don't you guys think Omega and Scorponok would be like CW Devastator, where the molds can't be used for another character?

Scorponok and Omega Supreme would most certainly be their own molds. The only possible mold re-use I could see there at all would be BlackZarak (a more prominent character than Metrotitan, G2 Devastator etc).

That's what I was thinking... So next question.
TR is essentially being broken-up into 2 more future lines, right?
Think there's a chance one of those will be predominately beast character-oriented?
And maybe that's when we'll get Scorponok, Abominus, Predaking, Beast Wars characters, and maybe updated Dinobots?

Or, the unlikelier scenario; Sky Shadow doesn't come with two Titan Masters, but Overlord does.
If not I hope that Overlord's Titan Master is IDW-based, and that they release a separate Titan Master (in the Titan Master class) modeled after Masterforce's Mega with the Masterforce face. I think it'd work out since the Masterforce face is pretty generic with all the detail coming from the Leader's helmet.

Most certainly, but like... I'm trying to work out what Hasbro would do, considering how easy it would have been to make Metrotitan and G2 Devastator. So I'm guessing that with their one-titan-a-year rule, it has to be different enough to another titan to be a centerpiece; hence only a retooling like BlackZarak would work.

Not just the gun but the figure itself borrows several molded design cues from that AHM/LSOTW Perceptor design, particularly the shoulders.

Though, the colors are the traditional G1 Perceptor colors.

About the Titan Class figures, I would be very very surprised if Hasbro already didnt have designs for Omega Supreme and Scorponok. Hasbro already said that a toy's production cycle is about 2 years, so for them to have pumped out Trypticon so fast after he was revealed as the winner posits that a good chunk of work was done before. And since they didnt know who would be next, they stopped before the actual mold creation part (since its the most expensive part of the process). So that would mean that they did already spend resources coming up with designs for these 2 more titans. And with Predaking hinted to come out next year, that would mean he is off the list of possible titans to come out one day so there is one less option. Of course, like Emerje said, things can always be dropped last minute, but in this case it would be more like dropping a titan class transformer coming out at all rather than dropping a specific one over another.

Simply said, I am very confident that if they continue with this class size, we will get Omega Supreme and Scorponok.

I wish when they do things like this they'd release separate Titan Masters so you can have the actual face of the version of the character they're homaging. You'd think that'd be a no-brainer with this line

What do you think about my idea (or thought, rather) that Hasbro could finally make a line that is beast-centered? I'm not even really a fan of Beast Wars, but it seems overdue, and along with updated Dinobots and a couple beast combiners, it could be a decently filled-out line.

Man there's so many alternate heads to do this time round. Galvatron, IDW Perceptor, IDW Rodimus, IDW Blurr, Triggerhappy with a mouth, Rebirth Hardhead... I'm getting obsessed here lol. Hopefully a third party'll do something.

A beast-centred line would be my dream. Beast Wars? Dinobots? The rest of the Combiners (or at least just Predaking)? Pretenders updated in a similar style to ROTF Bludgeon? Bring it on!
