What do you think about my idea (or thought, rather) that Hasbro could finally make a line that is beast-centered? I'm not even really a fan of Beast Wars, but it seems overdue, and along with updated Dinobots and a couple beast combiners, it could be a decently filled-out line.

Hasbro already said that a toy's production cycle is about 2 years, so for them to have pumped out Trypticon so fast after he was revealed as the winner posits that a good chunk of work was done before. And since they didnt know who would be next, they stopped before the actual mold creation part (since its the most expensive part of the process). So that would mean that they did already spend resources coming up with designs for these 2 more titans. And with Predaking hinted to come out next year, that would mean he is off the list of possible titans to come out one day so there is one less option. Of course, like Emerje said, things can always be dropped last minute, but in this case it would be more like dropping a titan class transformer coming out at all rather than dropping a specific one over another.
Simply said, I am very confident that if they continue with this class size, we will get Omega Supreme and Scorponok.
Good points.
So most likely Predaking will not be Titan class... I'm more than okay with that.

A beast-centred line would be my dream. Beast Wars? Dinobots? The rest of the Combiners (or at least just Predaking)? Pretenders updated in a similar style to ROTF Bludgeon? Bring it on!

The idea was brought up a few times and while I think its a perfectly fine idea, I dont see that as a gimick certain classes would share. When Hasbro has brought up a theme in the past, it was always related to a gimick and not necessarily the alt modes (at least not since Beast Wars, of course). But recent past we have the minicons in armada, the combiners in energon, the keys in cybertron and more recently more combiners, titan masters and minicons again in RID. So my guess is their third part of the trilogy would be focused more on a gimick. And plus, they are releasing quite a few animals and monsters already in TR so if they were gonna make it animal centric for the third part, I would think they would have kept those for then.
So here are my thoughts: its a cool idea, but we are already living it partly (yay!) and the third line would be more about gimicks than alt modes.

Even better, it's a targeting reticle monocle
Man there's so many alternate heads to do this time round. Galvatron, IDW Perceptor, IDW Rodimus, IDW Blurr, Triggerhappy with a mouth, Rebirth Hardhead... I'm getting obsessed here lol. Hopefully a third party'll do something.

ughhhhh....Predators before spinning stuff!

Kurona wrote:Or, the unlikelier scenario; Sky Shadow doesn't come with two Titan Masters, but Overlord does.
If not I hope that Overlord's Titan Master is IDW-based, and that they release a separate Titan Master (in the Titan Master class) modeled after Masterforce's Mega with the Masterforce face. I think it'd work out since the Masterforce face is pretty generic with all the detail coming from the Leader's helmet.

Not really here are the beast/monsters made with these TR molds from across different companies (both confirmed and not confirmed) that were/are not headmasters:
Laserbeak
Ravage
Stripes
Alpha Trion/Lio Convoy
Double Cross
Repugnus
ConvoBat
Krok
Carnivac
Grotusque
Trypticon
Deathsaurus
Blood
Pounce
Wingspan
As you can see, this line is releasing a ton of beasts and monsters.
I am thinking the 3rd gimick could be unlocked flip gimicks or such that only come out when inserting something. Thats a gimick that hasnt been used. The pretenders seem to be handled in TR anyway.
Of course, it can also be Beast Wars again, but that would in no way fit with whoever the titan coming out will be. I would be all for another thrilling 30 line where everything gets revisited and updated simultaneously.

Kurona wrote:Well, uh, let's be fair here; Carnivac, Grotusque, Deathsaurus and Blood aren't confirmed yet. And Krok wasn't originally a beastformer; he was an Action Master with jet kibble.

Just saying this line has a potential for a bunch of beast formers and I was clear that not everything was confirmed. Plus the part of Krok that did transform was a beast. I dont see how its all that different to how they combine designs of pretenders and inner roots (where one is a non transforming component while the other is), which is something you seemed to like.

You forgot that the Predators done that first?
I'm ashamed of you Sabr. You're supposed to be the nerd among nerds.

Slide shows rock.
Sucking up to the forum admin however is just bad.
