So that happened to me trying to buy sawback and ptero from walmart. The clerk got aggravated and just rang them up for $2.99 each :DANCE:

So is Prime Wars Part 3 actually "The Power of the Primes" or is that just some sort of campaign title that isn't actually part of the Prime Wars 3.0

If Prime Wars 3.0 is supposed to debut either very late 2017 or 1st Quarter 2018 The why would they even be telling us now ?

Is "Power of the Primes" more akin to "Unicron battles" in that it's a 2nd year refresh descriptor added to an existing brand name. ?

I wasn't to sure so I thought I'd ask.

Also I just got Voyager Optimus and Megatron from TRU (UK) I've opened the former and was pleased to discover he's actually pretty decent overall.

He has a few minor design quirks and perhaps he needs a few more 5mm holes on his body for weapon storage.

It does have a annoyance I've not seen for a while - I think it has popped up before tough which is parts are cast in the wrong colour from what you might prefer - such as the jet nose would have been better blue as being red it exposes a large amount of red on his legs that I don't much like.
The stickers are not an issue on him so far they don't seem to want to peel or anything like that. and they are in fairly non-intrusive places.

I'll open megs later see what I think of him.

They probably didn't mean to let the name out as early as it was since it was informally announced in a press release for something else.

Hasbro can't seem to keep these things under wraps! First Titan Wars was inadvertently revealed at Botcon 2015 because they put up the wrong signage, and now PotP is revealed offhandedly in a press release. Kind of amusing.

But then they changed the name from Titan Wars to Titans Return. I wonder if they'll do something like that with the Power of the Primes and adjust the name at the official reveal.

Unsure if this is just me, but does anybody else feel that Sixshot's joints are a bit floppy? You can still get poses out of him, but his left arm droops down.

Glad to see Wal-Mart employees are so well trained. In fact I bet everyone who had this happen to them had a different outcome.

it's been a slow work day today, so I decided to run some calculation out of boredom. :HEADHURTS:

Anyway, this is just a rough estimate of release dates for Titans Returns waves based on the premise that there will *probably* be 6 waves, and that 3 waves basically have been released in the continental U.S. This certainly does not apply to other countries, and does not account for crossing over with other lines and even other waves which we all knows does occur. Basically it is a 76 (*ish) day cycle. Here's what I've come up with for Titans Return:

Wave 1 7/1/16-9/14/16
Wave 2 9/15-11/30/16
Wave 3 12/1/16-2/15/17
Wave 4 2/16/17-5/2/17
Wave 5 5/3/17-7/17/16
Wave 6 7/18/17-10/1/17

Seeing how there is basically 2 months until Toy Fair, we *may* get one or two sneak peeks at something else before then (like Kup and Topspin), but its not likely.

For me personally. I have seen all the figures in Wave 2 in stores with the exception of Soundwave. For Wave 3, I have only seen the Titan Masters and Deluxes thus far (No Legends, Voyagers, or Leader Class(Sixshot) yet). It seems the Leader Class figures are lagging a bit behind their respective waves, at least in my area, cant speak for everyone else. But seeing as how Soundwave and Sixshot are the only two bots remaining on my personal want list for this line at this point, that's not too bad, and seeing them both in store prior to February 15th doesn't seem that unreasonable IMHO.

However, if according to my estimates, wave 4 is to start hitting after Mid-February, then I guess we would have to have some more reveals prior to Toyfare, unless wave 3 is just going to be dragged out a bit longer than I anticipated.

The Titan Masters for Wave 2 of Titans Return are being found at retail slowly but surely. Personally, I believe this wave has the very best Titan Master so far: Sawback. This is a figure inspired from the G1 headmaster figure Lione and here you can see how the two compare. Of all Titan Masters so far, Sawback/Lione is the perfect G1 toy to be represented since he was only just a head in G1 so being just a head now works.

Also, of all Titan Masters so far, Sawback has the very best integration with the Titan Master vehicle by filling out the mane of the lion. Here is a comparison between the lion mode on the G1 figure and its homage:

More comparisons with g1 we have Sawback on Hardhead and Skullcruncher and the G1 counterparts of the same combinations.

And here is Sawback with the other new molds from his wave:

Notice how well that Titan Master works to make up the mane.

Since Lione never had a robot mode (he was just a head), Sawback's robot mode is completely new and actually refers to the alt mode of his G1 counterpart by having a beast face:

The lion turns into a single pilot aircraft of some sort. What I find great is how there is painted detailing in the wings to give this form detailing not found in the other modes, with silver painted guns on the wings. While the instructions say to keep the legs up, I prefer them down.

And here is Sawback in his shield mode, along with the other new Titan Masters in their respective weapons modes.

I opened Megatron now - I like the robot mode (mostly) but he's not much fun to transform he's kind of a mess of exploding hinges really.
He has a lot of issues with poor fit like plugging the legs together makes one of the leg hatches open slightly. he was also very very loose all over the place.

Nice head - no idea who the Titanmaster is supposed to resemble though.
he is quite a bit bigger than Optimus too.

I discovered earlier that the nub on the turret is actually removable and you can pull it straight forwards and plug it on his grey gun to make it longer or simply so he has no sticky up bit behind his head.
You can also use it as a shoulder cannon adaptor too. or to provide a 2nd handle for holding his combined guns as a rifle.

Once I spend 2 or 3 days worth or repeated floor polish dripping in his joints I expect i'll like him a lot more.

Oh and yes the stickers are pretty poor - don't do that again Hasbro.

We found something pretty cool on the Talk Transformers Facebook page, an image of Titans Return Roadburn in package. This will be part of the second wave of 2017 figures, along with Legends Brawn. While they are using the name Roadburn, this is essentially throttlebot Chase. It is using the Titans Return Bumblebee mold.

Awesome! He seems to be using his in-fiction head too; he had a mouth in Rebirth, Marvel, IDW etc. but didn't have one in his toy or packaging artwork.
