Hi all!

First, thanks again for the input regarding Perceptor and Kup. Unfortunately Meijer did not have them in stock to exchange so I decided to return them. My only regret is losing out on that coupon I used. I wish Meijer would have given me a new one since it was good until 6/16.

Before I returned them I took a good look a Perceptor and Convex to be sure I wanted to exchange or purchase again at a later date. I was particularly interested in examining the bar the armature is attached to. Kids are going to break that. I think adults will break it too. It's a piss poor engineering decision by Hasbro. I wish they would have gone with the armature from the G1 toy that attached to the front and back of the neck and swiveled into place. I was never worried about breaking that when I was a kid.

I also noticed Convex's legs don't have the extra plastic jutting out alongside the shins that cover the gap in head mode. I noticed this because as I was examining Perceptor I saw the gap in his head. Because of both the issue with the armature (which I think I might need to grease to prevent breakage but I'm not so sure I want to do that) and the head hole I'm not so sure I want to take another chance on the toy should I come across him again.

And that's a real shame because I had a coupon at Target for 20% off one Transformer expiring on 6/6 and one of the two Targets I frequent finally had Brawn on the shelf. Brawn is awesome. My only complaint about Lengends figures is the lack of their weapons but Brawn himself is perfect. I like his rear roof spare tire shield and I like that I can easily store it unobtrusively on his back. I also love the ports on his forearms. I have a bag full of G1 cassette weapons and Brawn looks awesome with Overkill's rockets plugged into his forearms while holding either Grand Slam's double barreled guns or Raindance's rockets.

Nice to have been smart enough to keep my old G1 weapons stored away safely for when I need them. If I do get Perceptor I can give him his old G1 rifle instead of that weird sniper rifle that comes with him (which is fine for tank or unofficial base mode, just not as a handheld weapon).

Seaspray and Cosmos (reissue) have been spotted at US retail apparently. If any of you have seen them, please send us a pic so that we can front page it and give you a news credit!

2 targets and a ToysRUs and nothing. I'll update you if I find either. I've got a ton of time to kill tomorrow so I'll try check the one where I first found the wave 1 TLK stuff the day after it was first spotted. They have a great reputation, and maybe have some major finds under their belt

I'll let my family outsourced collectors know to keep an eye out! I believe they're stuck in National Harbor for their remaining week in the US, but if they have some spare time I'm sure they'd be happy to check around that area.

And on a related note to that, my faithful team found and purchased TR Percy, Topspin and Repugnus at Forbidden Planet in NYC! Communication isn't the most consistent at the moment so I'm not sure what other figures were there - though I would assume at the very least the rest of the Wave 4 Deluxes - or if there are any left now, but if anyone in that area is still looking for some of the newer-ish TR stuff it might be worth a check in there.

Taking a queue from the pictures of the black repaint of Voyager Prime, I put my Titans Return Voyager Prime into base mode. It's pretty cool.

I love how that base mode is pretty reminiscent of OG Laser Prime's trailer base. Especially with the gun atop the tower. Gonna have to give that a go!



Well, darn. Seib's galleries don't show it but the hand cannon plugs into the top of the tower.

Yeah, can't forget about that e-Hobby release. I'm dead certain that that set was a major influence on this Orion Pax. And given who else got a Titans Return toy, we could well see a remake of the other half of the set.

To the person who commented on cartoon Orion Pax's look: That was kinda the idea. He was supposed to look like an ordinary slightly wimpy everyman to contrast with the buff, strong, hero he would be rebuilt into

Since we're showing off bases..... here's 3 originals and the laser prime base. The sentinel base is supposed to be remmenicent of an arena, the Meg base is supposed to be some form of military implacement, and Broadside's base is trying to look like a small airport crossed with and oil drilling platform.

You should have been, mine's been broken since 88 or so.

He'll probably show up at TJMaxx with terrible QC at $10. If wave 6 gets a full release like on CW, expect 2 more deluxes to accompany him.

'The other three' being Windblade, Twintwist and Misfire? Simply, I think it's because that wave was already deemed to have enough new Deluxe figures (bear in mind that Wave 4 has 5 new figs, so 3 new in Wave 5 balances it out back to an average of 4-per-wave); plus they still have another subsequent wave planned in which Slugslinger will be placed, presumably along with some other as-yet-unrevealed Deluxes. Even if they did include him in Wave 5 we still wouldn't be getting all three Targetmaster jets at once, so I'm not too bothered about waiting one more wave to complete the trio - especially since we at least know that they're all happening, looking at you cassettes .

Not so far, but that's absolutely no indication that he's going to get dropped. It just means that they haven't yet revealed the other figures in his wave 6 months ahead of release (if we go by the "intended" release schedule). No way they'd drop him now, they clearly know we want it and it's so far along in the design process (especially considering it has new tooling, and isn't just a repaint or new head) that I can't imagine it'd be more cost-effective for them to drop him, barring some unforeseen totally awful problem with his particular use of the mold that would actually ruin the figure completely. (At which point, would you really want it released anyway if that was the case?)

I'm looking forward to Windblade but am concerned about her potential backpack. I'm also strongly considering Twin Twist as I had his G1 toy as a kid.

After a close examination of Hot Rod I can easily see a retool into Pointblank. New hood, new arms, new calf car panels, new rear car shell with engine and blue v-wing spoiler that hopefully detaches and pegs into forearm as a shield. I can also see a lazy redeco. Since I have no idea what is coming out in wave 6 other than Slugslinger I'm hoping for some pleasant surprises.

Unfortunately I doubt they'll have a mass-retail version of Nautica on the cards, at least not yet - the Velocitron set hasn't even come out in much of the world IIRC, so it seems unlikely that they'd intentionally compete with themselves by individually releasing what's probably one of the biggest draws for that box set.

Maaaybe we'll see an individual variation a few years down the line (though the nature of this gimmick suggests to me that we're unlikely to see many of these molds directly re-used - i.e. without modification to be less Headmastery - without good reason after the end of this line); but honestly I'd still say it's not worth banking on, since I'd imagine we'd be more likely to see that mold re-appear in some other con-exclusive or box-set that could theoretically happen in coming years. (Though one can always hope, of course! )

Seems extremely possible if they reused the mold. The Blurr mold is the most likely to get reused later since the area the head goes is easily modified by using a new shield accessory. I could even see them changing the sleeves to be more accurate and it would be assumed a non-Titan head would be used, allowing a better head and some translucent plastic since it is already used for the cockpit.

Seaspray and Cosmos comprise wave 5 of Titans Return Legends Class with Seaspray being a brand new mold and Cosmos a redeco of the Thrilling 30 Generations mold.
