Not really. Wheelie was probably the worst besides Ratchet's mold.




Constidering what they were working with, Galvatron was probably one of the most accurate figures as far as molded detail. Consider the later Japanese reissue:

Only the colors were off on the original Galvatron, and even though the colors on Wheelie weren't too bad, the molding is what was very off on g1 Wheelie. When repainted, Galvatron looked pretty darn accurate.

I onky hope his deco doesn't get sh|t on by the need to turn a profit. I don't need the air-brushed paws, but everything else needs to look like the official pics

It goes against the other pics we have seen.

The more I see of that Galvatron the more I want him

The only problems really are that the Crown being over his head makes the face look a bit sunken (compared to if Head and Crown were one piece), and that you can't seem to configure the cannon to be placed with the knuckles of his fist facing the cannon (you know, like this sort of pose http://tfwiki.net/mediawiki/images2/thu ... gatron.jpg ). Or can you? I'm not entirely sure what his articulation is but stock photos seem to imply he doesn't have wrist articulation or a way for the cannon to change position.

I like a lot of those drawings but not so much the Galvatron cos he looks a bit too 'balloony' and nowhere near as menacing as a Galvy should.

That is some amazing work.

Of all the voyagers, Alpha Trion has me the most excited, with Astrotrain a close second. Galvs is a distant third compared to those 2 but he still has me excited

With most of those photos, the guy under the vehicle mode is the Titanmaster. If this is supposed to be A3's ship mode, that Titanmaster doesn't look a lot like Sovereign. People over at TFW2005 were saying that this could be our first look at Broadside/Tidal Wave. It is a bit farfetched, though.

Fair enough. I still really want to see Broadside, as he hasn't gotten an actual toy since the original (at least the G1 version).

He's not our standard A3, but he to me still is really cool. I love the lion mode and actually think it looks good, and the Spaceship mode is beautiful too. And I dont know why, but his robot mode, despite the bulk, still looks awesome to me

I don't see anything wrong with the art, the reaching to space, or the arts from artists once drawn for Dreamwave. You make it "seem"like all Artists who had drawn for Dreamwave does the same thing and are bad.

It was prevalent at the time and I always found it to look a little silly. Plus it leads to a lot of the box art looking rather similar when everything is posed similarly. I know its done to add a sense of dynamism to the pose, but it really feels like its just the "default" position they're done in.

Like I said - its nice art, but the squatting pose, especially when combined with either the bent arms or reaching hand needs to stay at home, in my opinion

I prefer to think Sky Garry was supposed to be called or is best imagined to be called "Sky Carry" instead as that makes a heck of a lot more sense than calling him 'Gary' does.

(Yes I know plenty of Japanese Transformers have had silly Human names over the years).

Odd how Cancer is sold with Takara's Mini-Shockwave where as with Hasbro it's sold with another toy entirely - yet they are still pretty similar looking and both seems to be based on Squeezeplay's head.
