As in the ship/boat/thing? Looking at Fort max, you could probably pull it off (but it wouldn't look as good).

Well, the long ramps are now attached to his arms instead of his legs, and he has no wheels on his legs (as far as I can see) not to mention that he may not even be able to bend that way due to being engineered backwards now
Plexymetro's legs can go both ways, so it might be possible.

Still doesn't have the ramps or wheels...

Fort Max never had ramps so that shouldn't be a complaint.

Guess you didn't read my post...

So I wasn't just imagining things - they did just recycle Metroplex....

Ah well. Here's hoping they don't just slap a dinosaur head onto the Metroplex mold and call it Trypticon. Though perhaps I shouldn't give them any ideas....

Of course I did. Who wants the robot mode to be worse just to keep Metroplex's driving "boat" mode?

We were talking about the legs, Mrs. Toolazytoread. :B I am not blind, and am very familiar with Fort Max's design. I should've clarified.

No need to be rude, snarky remarks are the price you pay for not being specific.

And I don't care what it would do to the bot mode - aside from the fact that they fold flush to the legs in bot mode, and as such wouldn't end up changing him all that much. Having that mode would've greatly enhanced the figure in my eyes, that was all I meant, nothing more >:oP

Am I the only one getting tired of the same people harping on about their disdain for Fortress Maximus?

We get it, you don't like it, you're not going to buy him (though just like those who vow to never EVER see the movies ... they do anyway), why do you feel the need to constantly harp on about it? It's like you're trying to convince others to have your opinion.

meh ... whatever. I'll just be happy to get him at an affordable price and then make a bet with someone for a second one that I'll never receive.

Attach them under the ramps or sink them into the ramp sections, they have enough clearance in metro's vehicle mode to be attached underneath, or they could've had them recessed under the ramps

I feel the same way. The conversations on here have been getting really redundant every time Fort Max gets brought up. "Ooooo he's a retool!" "Ooooo The old one is better!" "Ooooo Wait till you have him in hand!" That's pretty much what 90% of the talk about him is. Isn't there better things to talk about? Like how there's a good chance the first waves should start showing up in the U.S. within the next month?

Side note- You're still upset about that Metroplex? It's been awhile since that happened.

Funny you mention clobber as I always thought it would be awesome if they made grimlock Trypticon's titanmaster for the fun of it.

@Burn: twas a shame that you never got that Metroplex, though it was funny seeing that user hightail it out of here faster then prince Charles sprinting for the throne at the mere mention of the queen having a slight cough.

The Hasbro looks fine to me though. I don't see what's dismal about it compared to the Takara version unless you're saying being without a headmasters-accurate colour scheme is a massive flaw.

No hip cannons, no sword, maybe possibly only a selection of sound fx, no Scamper repainted as Cog, no hand guns.(Takara may give us some of those....if not all)

They're only giving us the swords. Which have only been shown in silhouettes so we don't even know how good they may or may not look.
And saying one version is better than the other based on what might be included based on pure speculation is just... not correct. Hey, Takara Clobber is clearly better because he might come with a full Voyager Grimlock body.
