The European one that changed Mega and Giga into nameless "Energon figures".King Kuuga wrote:RAR wrote:Western Overlord didn't have a male and female partner neither was those partners the dominant one. they were basically non-sentient / semi-sentient drones that functioned like powermasters only were linked to the weapon systems as well as the power systems for propulsion.
I suppose you could if you really wanted to claim they were also normal all be small robots or also human or nebulans in armour.
What Western Overlord?

But I'm just not sure about Sixshot. On one hand, his alt-modes look fun as hell, and he's a character I've wanted for so long. on the other hand, his robot mode just looks so damn dorky. He's got these big Rescue Heroes feet, and these skinny looking arms, and I'm not in love with his giant bandana forehead. I'm so torn.
I just feel like if I get him, I'll hate having him on my shelf more than I hate having Leader Class Armada Megatron on my shelf. Although I suppose he could use some company.
Kurona wrote:Also, the bandana is only visible outside of Robot Mode. His helmet covers up the bandana so it's only a problem if you for some reason don't have the helmet on or you want a bandanaless Sixshot taking over Scourge.

Nemesis Maximo wrote:And I do realize that he's basically an articulated version of the G1 toy, but the original pulls off the feet way better IMO. I was just hoping that after seeing Terminus Hexatron, Hasbro would've gone the Thrilling 30 Springer route and made this guy balls out awesome. And again, this is my own opinion, I'm just not feelin it.

Don't worry man, I feel ya. The new figures are awesome, but I wish they did have a little bit more stylization to them. As basically redos of the G1 toys with articulation and considering they are rarer characters, they have done well, but I really liked the stylization with Springer and others much more, so I agree with you there

To be fair, Springer didn't really have stylisation to him. As much as a lot of the current Generations figures are just straight-up the G1 toys, Springer was just straight-up his LSOTW design.

Emerje wrote:As for Hasbro doing Thunderwing, I think it's fair to assume Sky Shadow is his pre-tool. Just doesn't make sense to do a somewhat obscure character like him first compared to a much more popular character like Thunderwing. It does fit Hasbro's MO of doing unexpected characters first (Sentinel Prime, Laser Prime, Megatron) before their intended use (Astrotrain, Octane, Blitzwing). Might have to wait until Power of the Primes before it actually happens, though. He's one that can transform with the head attached thanks to the helmet, right?

But isnt Sjyshadow the pretool for Overlord already?

o.supreme wrote:I know Hasbro really isn't concerned about even numbers of good vs. bad character. CW Leader Class had only Ultra-Magnus vs 5 Decepticons to come from 2 molds.
However with PM Prime being the second use of UM, every Leader Class toy for the time being appears to be getting at least two mold uses save one...Sixshot. However with some hints at using characters from Victory (Platinum Liokaiser, BlackSky Shadow etc...) Who here thinks there is potential for Sixshot to be repainted (and slightly remolded) as Greatshot? I think it would be a great (no pun intended) addition to the Autobot Leader Class figures, and seems like it would be a slam dunk for Hasbro. Just need to remold the "wolf" head to a Rhino, and remold a few other parts, but I think it would be awesome.

I think he means just the 'generations flair' in general and used springer as a 'good' interpretation in general (a better one might be classics cyclonus vs cw cyclonus maybe), all sleek and sexy, whereas this sixshot is cubes everywhere that turns into various bricks - I am not impressed, I'm not getting him
Even when they're giving us homages and references to such Japanese-original characters as Liokaiser, Lione/Sawback, Shuffler, Stripes, White Leo (homaged by Daburu), a Diaclone pilot (homaged by Diac), Twincast (name inspiration for Twin Cast), Soundblaster (name reference), Jack (homaged by Revolver), and Black Shadow/Sky Shadow? With all these, it really looks like Hasbro has finally opened the door to all kinds of Japanese-original characters to the point that practically nothing seems off the table anymore.Kurona wrote:Greatshot doesn't seem awfully likely from Hasbro

I think he's open-ended enough to have some options for longevity![]()
I honestly wouldn't mind seeing a thunderwing out of him, but I do want to see what they do with overlord, especially since the jet will be completely different in order to hang off of his shoulder

CMI-SillySpringer wrote:I can imagine that it's not a matter of retooling, but one of alternate transformation. Or even maybe just partial retooling (for a peg hole on the shoulder). I can imagine them using the same nosecone "weapon" to attach to Overlord's shoulder on that version.
D-Maximus_Prime wrote:For those finding the wave 3 titan masters, I highly recommend this pairing of titan master to bulk:
2 lions that can run together, that then transform into in a ancient warrior with a lion shield.
Alpha Trion and Lione/Sawback. Great pair that I highly recommend, especially together
