With what they've done with Lione, Shuffler, and probably Toraizer, the chances of Ramhorn being a head that turns directly into a rhino without the vehicle are pretty slim.

Did we ever say that? I don't think so, I said "used" as in as a basis, like Hasbro's done for Sawback and Shuffler.

Thats becuse Seaspray is C2399 http://www.seibertron.com/transformers/ ... ter/36221/
I hope to see him at the next show in a month (gonna be a looooooong month).
Ok, so I played a bit (but not that much) wht Fort Max and have some feedback.

He's cool in robot mode and I appreciate the articulation on such a big figure as well as how good the robot mode looks.
And thats it for the positives, its all downhill from there. To me, a good Transformer toy means that the most important part must be the conversion and the metamorphosis that takes place. Because if all I wanted was a cool looking giant robot, I could get that from other outlets. And for a Transformer toy, this is very underwhelming. I knew the base mode would be ass in looks, but I wasnt ready for how limited the play value was. I never really looked at a review not to spoil the fun and it turns out there wasnt much fun to be had. The only feature you get in the base mode is the obvious compartment that opens which is used also as the "jail". Unless I missed something, the ramp doesnt do anything and doesnt connect anywhere. There is no projection of vehicles or secret passages, no parking in the feet, no elevator. And I really dont like the look of that base mode. I dont like how obvious the legs are with that skinnier white thigh section showing. It really looks like the robot lying down, there is nothing much to the conversion. And that central tower doesnt look right. It doesnt look like anything, with the robot arms exposed front and centre, it just looks like a mishmash and doesnt serve much purpose to the overall look. It doesnt add to it.
But I think the part I like least are those blue pieces that go on the back of the legs. I greatly dislike that cheap plastic. Its the same one used for Maximus Optimus, that cheap legion playset from the Prime line. I had to remove them to apply the stickers and removing them alone caused the tabs to get big white stress marks. And now they dont fit back in as well, and wobble when I touch them. Plus, the fact that he has that junk behind his legs means that the legs and feet are not flush against the ground, so it looks less like a fortress erected from the earth and more like a robot who fell. Another reason I dislike those blue pieces is because they exist to further add difference between this toy and Metroplex, but that just makes the seams so much more obvious. They feel like some cheap makeup applied to make it look different. They feel so apart, so tacked on, its a cheap illusion, that I simply couldnt fall for.
I am not very fond of this toy and I feel far more satisfied with the $200 I spent on the G1 version this year than the $100 I spent on this guy. I do look forward to seeing how I can integrate the base mode though, so I will get further enjoyment from this toy.

See for me, the whole set at $106 was worth it for Cerebros. The robot mode is cool for Fort Max, and that is how I keep him, so I'm good with that. Still not as impressive as it could have been though, we agree there

Yeah, Weirdwolf might have better luck!

But maybe if Cerebros swings that thing like a greatsword from Dark Souls it should work! Or he could just transform and use the Master Sword properly.

And then I realized that's a cat in front of Fort Max adding the swooshing flair that made it look so awesome. And that made it even better since that cat positioned himself perfectly

Yeah, I felt the same way. I kinda want a second one so I can have one for Fort Max and one for Warden.

Thanks D-Maximus! My cat Lasagna there definitely photo-bombed us perfectly.

As many of us have mentioned, FM's only cool mode is as a bot - and I've had plenty of fun messing around with him.

Thats an awesome image! Really smart with the filter, its perfect!
And yeah the battle station is ok but there still arent any features and you end up losing all those titan master connection points. Anyways, I had some fun with the bases, there are actually 5 connection points for bases with FortMax. 2 in the back, 2 on the sides of the runways and one with the compartment opening. I might news this to show the different configurations possible with the leaders out now.

Well yeah, but while the Takara sword splits into 3 pieces, the PE one only splits into 2. Thus, the 'smaller' piece is still way too big.

Connecting all the Titans Return Bases So Far
- Motto: "'till All Are One"
Below you will find images of how it is possible to connect every Titans Return base so far in a way that creates a loop, where each base is connected on both ends. Fortress Maximus has 4 base connectors, with two in the back (along the legs), one at the side of each landing strip and an extra one by lowering the door of the "secret" chamber. Below are two configurations that involve Fort Max, Power Master Optimus Prime, Sixshot, Blaster and Soundwave. This is just to give you fans examples and ideas as to what can be achieved so far, and it will (hopefully) be updated as more bases come in.
Enjoy!

Enjoy!

Sweet configs for a Cybertronian city! I can only imagine how much larger it will be as we get more Leaders to add, including Overlord!
I'm so tempted by Carnifex, but since Hasbro is providing something official in a leader figure for Overlord, I can wait and see -- the difference in price is what will sell it, though -- $200+ versus $50? No contest.
I've only dipped over $100 for a handful of TFs, including Fort Max....MP Soundwave, DX9's Tyrant and the inbound MMC's Kultur.
I'd still like TR Trypticon, wish I hadn't missed out on Generations Metroplex (his alt modes look cool!), and am curious what the next Titan-class bot will be.
Two other expensive TFs I'd love are Megatron 2.0 and MP Shockwave - I could be good with all of the above.

Did we ever say that? I don't think so, I said "used" as in as a basis, like Hasbro's done for Sawback and Shuffler.
I share that thought, re-purposing his name as an excuse to release another Japanese character. For example, this could be Kirk or Rodney and he just happens to come with a vehicle/weapon that very much resembles our favorite rhino cassette. It is just a possibility, and one that I'd be okay with
