Leader
C2388 Overlord
I hope we got Mega and Giga in this Leader class. Overlord has 2 Powermasters and i bet there will be some 2 Titan Masters, Turret Accesories, and cranes (possibly Base mode) than Sky Shadooow![]()
lowman_x wrote:So having just picked up TR Hot Rod, I'm pretty happy with the mold (the arms are a bit long and the shoulder joints are very obvious and thin). My TF:TM collection is another figure closer to completion. Just gotta get Cyclonus, Kup, Arcee, Wheelie, and Gnaw and I'll be set.
One question though (if anyone knows), Hot Rod has two small pegs on the rear of his roof (just before the spoiler). I've tried to figure out what they'd be used for, but have no idea. Any thoughts what they'd be for? Like, there's nothing on his body that leads me to think they're used in his transformation or for holding anything...

If we don't, I say we riot.

Seriously? I wondered that, but it just seems so... stupid. Like, "Let's go car-surfing, Blurr's head!" Seems like such a naff thing to do, to have a guy just standing on Hot Rod's roof...

Seriously. Alot of the titan master figures of deluxe upwards have those pegs for holding TM guys on. Not all figures, but a fair few.

Yeah, I just can't seem to like him.
Sure I've never been a fan of the character since he grabbed The Matrix before Magnus did, but this figure just feels ... like it lacks personality? Like I said, I don't know why I'm not a fan of the figure, because character aside, I liked the Classics version and I like the MP version. TR though? There's just something about him I'm not fussed on.

Those are usually very limited run cases. Though there are exceptions, such as when Walmart ordered all Galvatron cases for the holidays this year. All those Galvatrons sold out quick here!Megatron Wolf wrote:more proof that hasbro doesnt have a clue, how does sending out a solid case of a single figure or a case with the figures that clogged shelves going to help things? All this is going to do is make sure wave 3 and possibly 4 never arrive. Yeah its great for those who couldnt find mindwipe but after they buy one theres still going to be more clogging shleves, would've been smarter to split the case with wolfwire or just send out more of the standard wave 2 case.

Eject and Frenzy are both blue (don't), which would make it a lot more difficult to sell them than if they released Eject and Rumble around the same time - ie a blue one and a red one. That's a bit more visual variety ensuring an easier sell.
Not only that, but the blue Decepticon humanoid cassette is the one with more appearances in the original cartoon so you would have thought that'd be a more popular character to put in Wave 2.

I kinda miss when Hasbro would re-issue figures from a line or two back with a few changes to inflate the latter waves without resorting to redecoes. Like Blurr and Longrack and Runamuck and all that in Cybertron.
I agree, we do need some Armada retools in TR.
Sideways would be perfect. Retool it as Tarantulas "Let me show you something naughty" Edition with TM Ostaros.

They could easily solve this problem by releasing him in purple like he was actually colored in the cartoon.
the RIBFIR debate should be moot since Rumble is purple.

Is this Decepticon Cassette white and gold or blue and black?

Makes sense to me, but then again Hasbro's repack of TR Deluxe wave 2 has 3 mostly all Blue Characters (Scourge, Blurr, and Highbrow)...so who knows.

What's different about these cases?
Usually a case has different figures in it. Deluxes cases have 8. So if your store restocks with a case, you will have 2 of each deluxe from that wave on a shelf. But with a solid case, you will just have 8 of the same toy on the shelf. So instead of your store getting a case of different figures, it will just get the same figure 8 times.
YoungPrime wrote:The average collecting grew tired of wave 2 back in the Fall while looking for Brainstorm. This will only result in wave 2 figures clocking up pegs preventing Waves 4 and 5 from releasing due to shelf-warming.
o.supreme wrote:Too Bad...Ramhorn was always my favorite of the U.S. released Autobot cassettes. But I can see how developing a whole new toy for him probably wouldn't be cost effective because it probably would not get a second use. Probably also why we wont get a Ratbat one, unless it is a modified Buzzsaw/Laserbeak. Also one would think Frenzy and Eject were slam dunks for Hasbro...Guess we'll find out in about a week or so.
