I personally have never found jack crap except for Bumblebee and Gnaw in Toys R Us and Wave 2 took forever to get there.

I've had much more success with the Walmarts and smaller stores in my area heck in Walmart Sixshot is shelfwarming here with at least 8 or 10 of them and no I'm not joking that's what actually happened.

Just noticed something on fort max. Is there supposed to be a weapon that connects here?

IIRC, that red part is a recycled piece from Metroplex that has been moved to fulfil a different function (kind of like how the ramps moved from Met's legs to Max's arms). I don't remember where the red bit was on Metroplex, and I don't actually have him to check/compare, but I seem to remember that being a thing back when people were first getting Fort Max in hand.

I'd honestly take a revised Wave 2 over more Wave 3 at this point, since at least then there's a chance of finding special Chromedomes instead of the exact same figures I already have. Of course best case scenario would be Wave 4 actually showing up, but since I'd gotten every figure I wanted from TR so far, I knew our luck wouldn't hold up forever.

Yep, it's the funny lumpy thing that sits on the side of the leg and does nothing. Unfortunately if those connections points are leftover from Metroplex (with the actual parts they connect to being gone), as I'm pretty sure is the case, they mean nothing and the funny lumpy thing still doesn't do anything.

I wouldn't say always, necessarily - there are people on these very boards (including Megatron Wolf apparently) who haven't even seen Wave 3 yet, while Australia was the first country in which they turned up. But we definitely don't have it any easier than other countries either, I'll agree on that! I randomly found some Thrilling 30 Deluxes in a small-business toy store last year and I was ecstatic - apparently, all of Australia's big chains didn't even carry that line at all (which would explain why I never saw them, heh).

Have you tried to disconnect it? Some reviewers have but iirc the Takara version doesn't mention this.

Have you tried to disconnect it? Some reviewers have but iirc the Takara version doesn't mention this.

If you mean taking the whole chunk off his leg, then yep that's totally possible just by disconnecting the mushroom peg (I've done it a couple times myself), but the stress it causes can run the risk of bending the tabs on his blue leg covers, so be careful with that.

If you mean taking the red bit off the rest of the blue chunk, I haven't tried myself, but off the top of my head (without checking on Max) I think it would be possible. I don't know what it'd be useful for, though. Examining pictures of Metroplex, it looks like that piece used to be a little gun emplacement that sat on top of his left torso-half (like, the bit right next to his actual shoulder if that makes sense). Since that part has been entirely remolded/replaced on Max, the piece definitely can't connect there any more so if you take it off the blue part, it actually can't attach to FM anywhere .

Stupid question did we ever get a definite answer about Topspin being a heavy retool of Triggerhappy? They share the same basic transformation including the torso spin and several reviewers have said as much.

All evidence we have so far indicates that Titan Masters (or at least their torsos) carry over if the figure shares any parts at all. Since Topspin doesn't share TMs with Triggerhappy, then we can surmise that he doesn't share parts and is therefore not a retool. If he doesn't share parts but does share some transformation tricks, then maybe it's "shared engineering", but that's not the same thing as a retool - just like how Chromedome shares almost all of Dead End's engineering but isn't a retool, since the former's mold wasn't actually reworked from the latter's in any way.

Yeah, it didn't spread that quickly (just like any other wave) but I'm pretty sure the first sighting of Wave 3 Deluxes was in a city somewhere along the East coast-ish. I'll see if I can dig up the article, hang on...

EDIT: Yep, found it! Reviews of some Wave 3 Deluxes date from before this article but it's definitely the earliest "sighting" of Wave 3 in Seibertron's news feed: https://www.seibertron.com/transformers ... ail/36781/
Assuming that this was actually the first sighting, I got lucky and found them near me (Southeast coast) before any other sightings had been reported - but that definitely doesn't mean they came out everywhere so quick. Case in point, at least one Australian fan has found Sky Shadow at retail now and I haven't seen any Leaders since Wave 1 (save two Soundwaves who appeared alongside PMOP and Blaster, and promptly disappeared).
