I agree with this whole-heartedly. I started collecting TFs when Transformers news wasn't as easy to come by during RID and sometimes popping into the store and finding the two-packs that were a surprise was always awesome.
My friend Steve doesn't really collect toys any more, but he has about 50 times the fun going into TRU than I do because he never reads the news.
I still remember going into a store when I was 15 and seeing RID XBrawn prowl and sideswipe and losing it. The autobot logo again! I flipped out and scrapped every cent I could find to buy them. I had no idea it was coming. I honestly think that was the last time I was shocked in a store.
Personally I would be shocked to find current, up-to-date tf stock in a store

It's not about finding it, it's about seeing something you didn't know existed. I just find it annoying that nowadays when toyfair and botcon come the responses are now "oh we've already aeen all this" we weren't suppose to until the actual release announcement.
I don't have that problem with finding stuff. I have 8 targets, 11 walmarts and 2 toys r uses in witching 20 miles of where I live. By the time sightings start I usually have a week or 2 and they show up here in Iowa.

Hm, I'm just disgruntled because I've waited so long for an Alpha Trion figure I can afford, I'm disappointed it's not spot on to what I was hoping for (something much closer to the Covenant of Primus). I'd say I'd just eventually get the Botcon one, because that's close enough to what I wanted, but at over $300, that's not happening. I wonder if I'd have to wait another 30 some years before they release another Alpha Trion figure at mass market?

Me too. Of all the titans return figures, this is the one i am most excited for by far (might have said that about another one, but doesnt matter)

I would love to get a new Broadside as Voyager class, a new Nova Prime, maybe as another remold of CW Ultra Magnus, a new Snapdragon and some WfC/FoC versions of some characters like Ironhide, Warpath and the Dinobots.

I feel similarly. Tere were already rumours of these. While the pics confirm the rumours they dont add more than simply "we will eventually see this figure". Thats why none of this ruins the nice clean reveals we will get at toyfair. What I am curious of most right now is how Alpha Trion's modes look. I just cant imagine that space ship.
Also, I still cant believe how lame PMOP's base is. I really hope there is an error in the configuration they showed, the guy has a abunch of planks and ramps, USE THEM!

Not to be a negative roberta, but I think the time for those versions are loooooooooooong past. I dont think we will ever get more actual WFC/FOC toys aside from homages to those decos in the form of exclusives down the road. Just like we wont be getting an animated Omega Supreme

Yeah, the ship will be interesting. I imagine it will turn out similarly to some of the third party kits alt modes where a decent amount of imagination is needed.

Well we already did get octane

Not true, the ramps on pm/op go backwards behind the base mode:

Well both of those are already accomplished in blaster and pm/op. A dynamic hinged clip for combining and dynamic connection locations for pm/op and blasterwilliam-james88 wrote:You see the ramps on each side? I think thats a mistake in the transformation. You cant even attach the other ramps from there due to all the obstacles in the back.

But you could stretch out his thighs to the right and left so there is more room for the connection.
Doctor McGrath wrote:
Yeah, I wasn't meaning to neglect what we have already seen. I'm just hoping there's something more to it, maybe an alternate way to attach them. It could even just be a way to fit them together like a puzzle rather than clip them together. That would work for me also. It's a stretch but I think it would make them more interesting.
