Black Hat wrote:Best Ravage IMO is Energon Battle Ravage. Sure his robot mode articulation is kinda iffy, and he can't fit in any version of Soundwave (or anything really) but he's a lot of fun in Jaguar mode, he looks cool as hell and he has a flail tail. I kinda like the idea of him being a bigger "attack cat" for Soundwave rather than a teeny chest minion.

Ravage (and Soundwave!) are two of my absolute faves, so I can't say their TR incarnations did much for me -- of course, I skipped this Soundwave and bought dat MP reissue from Asia....
I do wonder what other new characters from the comics will get a figure next!
bodrock wrote:Lastly, when Soundwave talks in the comics, is it safe to assume we all hear his modulated voice?

How do you get the guns pointing up on Brainstorm?

Dual pistols, that double as hip missiles in beast mode, great proportions in both modes, poseable and shiney black plastic. Mmmmm.... such a great cat. And cat is scaled with mp's.
bodrock wrote:I missed out on the FoC figures, Roadburn!
That said, though, I did play the games years later, and really enjoyed the designs. I can definitely see why you have this incarnation as your IDW/Classics.

Thanks! This top 5 list is gonna be the easiest one yet!bodrock wrote:I missed out on the FoC figures, Roadburn!

To be honest Bodrock, while the designs of that line werent bad at all, the toys werent the best. They used a really weird plastic that felt light and porous, especially on Soundwave.
And I dont know if you came across Soundwave when you were reading MTMTE recently, but there is a great reason for that FOC Soundwave to be used as IDW Soundwave, they shared the same design
Quite a few others in the comis also use their video game designs, like Skywarp
And as far as properly scaled Soundwave toys go for a classics collection, that FOC Voyager is he best option we have when sticking to official offerings.
Wolfman Jake wrote:I know your pain, Roadburn. Scale is something that confounds many of us collectors. I used FOC Voyager Soundwave as my "Classics" Soundwave for over a year, along with his minions. He scaled welled with United Voyager Megatron. I prefered the Hasbro version of this Soundwave for the extra "G1" paint apps that are absent on the Takara Tomy version. Takara may have had a more game accurate deco, but Hasbro's was a more "G1"/traditional color mask. Now, though, I have Titans Return Voyager Megatron and Leader Soundwave on my shelf. They just look so much better in terms of their original G1 silhouettes. Yes, Soundwave looks way too big compared to Megatron, the Constructicons, and ESPECIALLY the seekers, but he otherwise looks so good, I have to overlook the size difference. Speaking of the seekers, they are so long overdue for Classics Voyager molds that it's ridiculous. Every other size class for them has been covered, but voyager. Poor Starscream and company look like they were hit by a shrink ray next to the rest of my Decepticon lineup, lol.

Yeah baby! That is one of the few toys I still dont have but want. If you have a second, please write me in a PM what you just said with a few more words so that I can make it an entry in the top 5 ravage list I got going on.

Damn...damn...damn...
I shouldn't have given mine to a charity shop. If I'd known I would have sent it to you!(Granted it was in pretty poor shape with the main gun having a broken peg, and this was a fair while ago.) Still, now I feel bad...

That said I'll get onto you with that PM, he really is a great toy and if you can find one for a good price I highly recommend him.

I spent last night clearing out a shelf that was being used for books and miscellanei to make room for TR stuff. Right now I barely have room to type this post with all these guys hanging around on my desk.![]()
Anybody feel like this line is just huge, or is it just that they don't combine so they take up more space?
