What screwup was on Galvatron and Broadside?
Galvy was in Autobot packaging and Broadside was in Decepticon packaging
Ah, that's just a thing in general. All Wave 1-3 boxes had Autobot symbols, while all Wave 4 onward boxes had Decepticon symbols.
Why is it wave-dependant instead of aligning it with the individual figure included? ... I dunno, it's kinda dumb.

Not the big symbol, the smaller symbol near the name. I'd read (and I believe I'd seen) that several samples had the wrong symbol.

Kurona wrote:Eh, the boxsets don't necessarily follow the planet's theme to a T - they had some pretty odd justification for Laser Prime, Nautica and Quickswitch on Velocitron. Quickswitch has to do with speed because he can... transform fast...? They'll likely just Wingspan along with one, maybe two beasts and then whatever molds they wanna use. Soundblaster, G2 Megatron, Marvel Galvatron, Sky Shadow in his undies... I dunno. They'll find some loose justification for why they're on the jungle planet. Don't see why it's necessary for everyone in the Eukaris set to be beasts.

Huh, odd -- I'd never heard of that before. Do you have a picture?

YoungPrime wrote:I'm tempted to buy this set, keep Pounce and sell the rest of it for $89.99 plus whatever I paid for shipping.
That and I hope the other 2 sets are exclusive to a retail store (like Target or Walmart) and NOT Amazon or somewhere else online.

Just a guess, but maybe printing the boxes that way, with wave based changes instead of individual changes, maybe it's a bit cheaper somehow?
Not that they wouldn't still need to change pictures and stuff anyway per figure, but I dunno, it's gotta have some benefit to Hasbro.
Less man hours on layout from the packaging design studio, means lower cost to Hasbro. Most of Hasbro"s packaging design is out sourced to independent studios.Kurona wrote:Optimum Supreme wrote:Kurona wrote:Why is it wave-dependant instead of aligning it with the individual figure included? ... That's what I was thinking too... but then again, it's printed on the same piece of cardboard that has all the stuff specific to the character - name, art, renders, cross-sells etc.

Well I am Australian. It's kinda what we're known for.

Magnus Prime's true identity... is Ultra Magnus.

Happens to the best of us.
His toy bio describes him as City Commander with missile launchers, both of which when put together like that are aspects of Ultra Magnus.Sigma Magnus wrote:Sabrblade wrote:You guys wanna know what else is strange about the Siege on Cybertron set?

Explain please?

This in turn reflects the 11th hour change from the planned redeco of the Leader class Ultra Magnus toy to a slight redeco of the Super Ginrai toy.

Oh yeah, I forgot about that. It's a shame we'll never get that Diaclone repaint now.

Well, neither does Metalhawk. Only Tidal Wave does since he's the only sensible toy in the set for Thunderwing to be attached to. Pounce isn't compatible and the other two are Autobots.Sigma Magnus wrote:Additional support to the last-minute Magnus Prime mold switch: His tech specs don't have a Titan Master boost.
