Cobotron wrote:I don't think his arms and legs look all that much like Plex's, and how can you discern whether or not he looks fun from that tiny pic? How can he not be fun? He's a giant city bot.
Can't wait to find out what kind of play features/gimmicks he has.
william-james88 wrote:Well at least we dont have to go crazy waiting till toyfair like last year. And now I am confused since he arms and legs still look like Metroplex's but his base mode is really different from this:
Am I the only one a bit dissapointed that the base doesnt look as fun as the G1 toy (which I dont own yet) ?
This should be quote of the week. If you're not having fun with toys, you're doing it wrong.Cobotron wrote:How can he not be fun?

9K Global, 3K just US alone. Thats not a lot.

What does that mean?

Also Coborton, I really liked the verticality of the G1 toy, how it wasnt just all ramps. This one seems more of the limbs spread out to form ramps and less like a city. Though I will wait for final judgement once I learn more of the play features. Didnt mean to sound like such an old man

It means only 3000 copies of this toy will be available in the united states and 6000 will be available in the rest of the world. That is just 1000 more than a Takaratomymall exclusive for a country that has triple the population.
It could be that the edition shown here is not the fort max we will be getting since not only does it have a production similar to a more limited toy, but it also speaks of exlusive swords and titan masters. How are these exclusive in comparison to other accessories found in other toys? Is there a bigger release that doesnt include the sword?
Shadowman wrote:This is Sabrblade we're talking about. His ability to store trivial information about TV shows is downright superhuman.

ScottyP wrote: A kind of vanilla area will be good to have since other bots with base modes, such as Blaster, can then hook on in different places to allow for more creative uber-combined base things.
Some of the language on this makes me think this little shot is for an exclusive of some kind - sounds a lot like the pitch for SDCC Devastator. I'm not sure what "XFL: 2/19/2016" means, but I'd guess that with this being a week after Toy Fair, it's one of two things. First, could just be an announcement date, as in regular version shown at Toy Fair, with exclusive one revealed the next Friday (2/19). Alternately, this is going to be available as some online store's exclusive starting on 2/19, as it does say this would be the "First Titan Wars Product".

Well I am Australian. It's kinda what we're known for.

Do you guys want this to be a reshell? I don't. Why are we assuming so?
For a toy this big and impressive, and at that price point, it better be a whole new toy. (or at least 80% of a new toy) Other than the over all size, shape, and function, I don't see the correlations. If it is a retool, I'd almost rather shell out another 100 bucks for the OG toy.
