The only thing he has that are metros are the forearms. Torso is completely different, shoulders are retooled, legs and thighs are retooled. To me they look very different

Sorry, but I think we all know deep down that this will have little value for it's pricepoint, if you want a great fort max, you should just get the encore version at bbts
Covered that already.Cobotron wrote: If it is a retool, I'd almost rather shell out another 100 bucks for the OG toy.

Well I am Australian. It's kinda what we're known for.

yeah, I think thats the main issue. Dead End and Prowl are only 20$ each at most so a retool to own a seperate character is not that bad. But 150$ is a very different story. Also, its not just the money but the space in this case. It can sometimes be an even greater scarce resource than money for a few of us and I dont know if I want to give that extra space to a retool.

I say go that route then, it'll be a far better experience than this will ever be; besides with as cheap a plastic as hasbro's using nowadays, he may just crumble under his own weight now

Maybe they'll make both bodies for the headmaster to plug into. IDW and city size.

Indeed, but, I thought we were over this, if every part looks different, then is it even a remold in anything but name? I think we should shelve the condemning until pictures with actual resolution come out, and just be happy 'Big Fort Max' is back

Didn't you yourself JUST say above that we should hold our judgement until we see something more official?

Yes it is still a remold. And in this case not every part is different at all. Its the same basic shape and proportions. The really new stuff is the head, torso and shins.
And I was never over this. I have said quite a few times that my true joy in this hobby is transforming a figure and getting to witness the wit of the engineering. Every retool denies me this pleasure. Transforming it the first time no longer has that sense of discovery, or at least not at the same level. I wasnt fond of the aerialbots all transforming the same way but I sucked it up because they are all very similar planes with similar functions and their g1 toys all transform the same way too. But these are two different characters with different transformations and even from totally different eras. And worse they are both a lot of money. I get how redecos work when its appropriate but its not here. I thought the idea of Hasbro limiting it to 1 titan per year was so that at least it could be a totally new toy ground up, but this really feels cheap on their behalf.
So there you go, this is my stance on the matter.

Of course he will, he's a retool.

I get ya, though I want to see some pics of the 'base' mode, as I think hasbro is going to be doing something cool with the 'base-building system', maybe he'll combine with blaster to form a chunky city, then you can attach soundwave and company to make a super giant base?

I am withholding my judgement of the figure, I thought it was common knowledge that hasbro's using thin, garbage plastic, and considering my UM couldn't even transform for it - especially considering their plastic quality won't have increased by then, and judging by the extreme hollowness/thinness of the tw figres', it isn't a difficult logic gap to cross
