I am looking forward to this. It looks like the guns are designed for the pilot to operate, and that will be cool in the fortress/city modes for Max. They are having everything combine in! leaders, heads, weapons, etc. It's really cool and clever :BOT:

You know what could really be killer? If there's a solid way to connect it to Metroplex. Or G1 ramps. Or both.

And Cyberverse playsets.

I want all the bases to connect to all the other bases. Not sure how I'd work that out space wise, but that sounds like a problem for quitters and merely a challenge to me.

That couldn't be further from the truth. The groin is the same but backwards, the forearms and feet are the same but the shoulders, shins and thighs are remolded and the torso is completely new

I own Metroplex, and I can totally confirm that Fort Max's crotch is Metroplex's crotch put on backwards.

Where there's a will, there's a way? If not u out could get on shapeways to build some connectors for yourself. Imagine linking up every base in tf history? Now that would be a city and a half.

Fort max question: where do you put emissary when you don't need him? (I.e in every mode apart from cerebros robot mode.

in city mode = on a gun emplacement beside the tower

i spaceship/battlestation mode = probably inside Max's chest compartment

i've got a question

when the titanmasters are connected to their transtector bodies, will you be able to turn their heads? coz i can't remember if with the original headmasters when connected to the main robots bodies if you could turn their heads? with the G1 Fort Max i don't think that you could?

It has already been confirmed that the Titansmasters will be able to turn their heads when attached to their Transector bodies. No, the G1 Headmasters could not turn their heads.

So am I the only one excited for mindwipe? Sure the bat mode is a little doofy but it's got a cute charm to it. Plus I think the colors are killer and bot mode is totally badass. Also the fact that vorath can hang upside down in his stomach is awesome.

I'll get him, too, although he has disappointed me a little bit. The pink is a bit off to me and the face is not really to my likes. It would have been absolutely great if he was a Voyager (Triplechanger). I know, the original wasn't and I don't know why I expected that but I would have loved it. But he's not bad as he is and his weaponry is cool.
And I still haven't seen any pictures of his Headmaster hanging upside down. [-(

I also think Mindwipe looks pretty bad@$$. I especially like how it appears that his legs are formed from his wings! That is probably the single most clever thing I have ever seen.

I was really excited for Mindwipe but I find the Bat mode to be disappointing as hell. I don't like the bat's mug and the wings, having them fold up to create the legs has resulted in a very compromised looking set of bat wings. With the wings forming the legs the robot mode now has to have fake bat wings on it's back.

That said the robot mode still looks alright and yes, Vorath hanging upside down in the cockpit is awesome :-D

Maybe I will like Mindwipe's bat mode more when I see it in person, here's hoping.

Well, speaking of Hasbro reps commenting on these toys, I have something fun for you Scotty. John Warden, who designed TR Blaster said that Blaster's city mode has elements of the MicromasterFire Station :)

Not many shared elements I can see. Blaster looks more an update of the original Powermaster Prime's base mode than anything.

I think the legs and wings both suffer because of it. And forcing Mindwipe to have extra fake wings really just defeats the point of having an animal mode's wings fold up at all. Would make a lot more sense on a winged beast TF who didn't have exposed wings in robot form.

No clue, thats all tha was said in the interview.

Now I realize I have been talking a lot but of very little substance (well, all considering we are talking about toys) and never really expressed my thoughts on any of these.

I actually LOVE EM. Most of em.

I am planning out what I will purchase and so far it is certain I will be getting all the presented deluxes.

Mindwipe, Skullcuncher, Chromedome, Blurr, everyone revealed at the show (and before). They all look fun and I adore extra playability, which si what these guys are all about. I love the alt modes.

And I like how they feature traditional complexity:

Image

16 steps is perfect.

Speaking of a ncie level of complexity, check out the star of the show:

Image

13 steps, plus a working cockpit, plus a really nice G1 look, man this guy is phenominal. So far the legends I will be buying are Rewind and Wheelie. I wont be getting Rumble and Frenzy because I have the tank versions and thus I find it cool that they will share a different mold than the autobots. Even though the headsculpt is supersweet.

For voyagers, I am buying Galvatron and Astrotrain. And I am even happy the Hasbro deco appears to be white and purple since I preffer the contrast it creates oer the use of grey.

For the rest, I am unsure. I dont have Metroplex so I am extatic that I would be buying an expensive toy that will be completely new to me. But I am also not fond of Metroplex' city mode. It seems too simple, more like something i would expect from a redo of Scorponok (which even then, would be a bit more dynamic looking). G1 Tripticon and Fort Max really looked like bases, and had some fun unfolding and transforming elements to them. The robot mode did transform. Here, it's more like Metroplex, where you rearange the robot mode to give a base. I dont know if I am big clear with that distinction. I dont own the G1 fort Max toy (I do have trypticon and scorponok however) but it always fascinated me in the way that it reallylooked like a playset. With buildings and an elevator and such. I dont feel that here.

So while I like the robot mode and the fact that he would be completely new, I am currently considering where my money should go between getting the Encore or this guy. For sure, I wouldnt be buying the Takara version. Though I am sure it will look great, I dont seem them adding giant buildings in that base mode.

And getting this fortmax or not kind of goes with how many leaders I plan to get. I love the interconnectivity aspect, but I dont want molds I already have, especially not when they cost me 40-50$. SO I would only get Blaster or Soundwave. Though Blaster looks better, and I would be getting rewind and not Soundwave's minions, that leader Soundwave would scale really well with my Leader Megs and Starscream.
But then again, would it mke sense to connect the starscream base to Fort Max? I hope we do get another leader mold though, because I am not fond of that PMOP toy. That base mode just doesnt work for me and I already have Ultra Magnus.

So yeah, definite buy on the smaller items, which really look distinctive and original, but not so sure about the more expensive items, based on toys we already have :-?

That little dude is KING! It especially works since he doesnt have wings in robot mode. Also, he hasnt been mentioned, but Lugnut did a reallygood job of using his wings toturn them into his arms:

I'm personally gonna try and get the entire Titans Return toyline! I love Headmasters, I love the fact that they're giving us extra heads because it adds playability, the deluxes look like so much fun, Blaster and Soundwave, along with their minions, look amazing, Wheelie looks great and I love the fact that Titanmasters can fit inside of him, I don't own CW Ultra Magnus, so Powermaster Prime is a definite buy for me, and while I do already own Metroplex, Fort Max looks like such a vast improvement over Plex that I will totally get him, even though I have no idea what I'm going to do with Plex if I get Fort Max.

Motto: "My past no longer binds my future..."
Weapon: Battle Blades
I really need that lugnut, it'll look good next to his animated toy. And thanks for mentioning divebomb, hrs probably my favourite energon figure of all, I love the little poses he can pull off.

I also like the look of mindwipe, the wings don't bother me at all. And thanks to that picture of wheelie I can see that sentinel prime is being put with the autobots, despite being a bad guy.
