Personally I like G1 Chromedome better. I don't get the whole gay thing.

Being that TFs are by-and-large genderless, he's not actually gay.

But his and Rewind's romance sub-plot aside, He's still rather an interesting character in his own right. Addictive personality, self destructive behaviours, often caught in moral dilemmas. Not convinced that he ever makes the right choices in those dilemmas...

Good thing IDW Chromedome being gay isn't his character or personality no really it's hardly important.

Edit: I got rid of the last part because I realized it was rude of me to say that I apologize.

i admit that the digibashes & who & where they came from were made abundantly clear(as indicated by the black markers) & that Sabrblade was using that as a platform to try to discredit me in clearly something that wasn't my own work in the first place. >:oP

& at no time did i try to claim or state that this was my own work!

ok....one thing! then i'll leave it alone, so how do you know what's genuine composition, or not? other than what Sabrblade drew your attention to! i mean the internet is vast, with 100's if not 1000's of websites, all of which would be impossible to monitor all at once, now granted on the face of it, your gonna normally expect people's composition within their own posts to be genuine & come from themselves, but you can't say with absolute conviction that's always gonna be the case, & someone or some people(other than myself in this instance) may have copied & pasted text from other websites & included(or edited) them within their own composition without anyone being any the wiser! i mean i'm sure it happens more often than people are aware of, & NO! i'm not trying to justify it, but rather pointing out that it can be a difficult thing to monitor & in some cases.....prove(when you don't have someone else across various transformers websites pointing such things out).

Welcome to my world. (<== Ag is college faculty. I could give you a long winded post on plagiarism, but this isn't the time or place...)

I kinda like that digibash of Arcee from Chromedome. The high shoulders elicit reminders of Arcee's back kibble. I might get something like that in a nod to Rebirth, putting her on my Headmasters shelf, if Hasbro were to give us something like this...

They've DEFINITELY made me take an interest in Chromedome (and Brainstorm..DECEPTICON?!), I mean..what are the repercussions of mnemosurgery on youself?! I already liked them based on Transformers: Headmasters, but MTMTE has taken all of these characters to new depths.

And, I'm actually kinda excited to see if they make these characters HeadTitanmasters in the comics or not.

Here's something! a pic of Fortress Maximus from an old catalogue in which one of his alt modes may have gave inspiration for the look of this new Fort Max's city mode(or it could just be pure coincidence)

We already knew that since November 13th when Sabr blade wrote about it: transformers-titans-return-discussion-thread-t105496s250.php#p1741143

But it made me have to look back and see a post I missed from decepticon sunstorm:

Decepticon Sunstorm wrote:You know, I just thought of something. Maybe the reason that CW is full of repaints was that they were trying to offset the cost of making this.

Haha, now that it's been confirmed that fort Max is also a retool, just like all of CW makes this comment fun in retrospect. Saving money doing retools inorder to just make another retool.

Also hasbro, if your gonna retool the legs, would it kill to give us different details and not just repeat the ones with metroplex, like in the entire side of his legs?!

Oh, I knew that Fort was a retool in the first place. I was mostly referring to the line in general (I think, at least).

That would make sense, yeah. And t turns out it's true! Kinda. Check out what John Warden had to say:

Can you address fans have had the sheer number of redecos and retools used for "Combiner Wars"? What led to that? And will we see that level of redeco/retools in "Titans Return"?

That's also a really good question. I spoke to it earlier to the previous interview group. When we were launching "Combiner Wars" it was actually a very different time in Transformers. The system was largely unproven and we were actually trying to sell...we were coming off the Thrilling 30 and people that fans were, you know, there was a niche group of an audience. What wound up happening was when we built that line we had to try to...I planned the entire line out in advance and I had to figure out 'Ok, I'm going to reuse these, I only have this much tooling to do this many items', I was trying to spread things out to get the most robust line possible, not only for fans but because I believed that many generations were going to enjoy it too. Fathers and sons, moms and daughters, dads and daughters, there would be people playing together. And it turns out that actually seems to be happening! When you go to the toy store nowadays you don't see a lot of "Combiner Wars" stuff and I think it's because we have attracted an entire new generation of young Transformers fans. I find that really exciting.

Now that that's happened with Titans Return I feel like we've got an opportunity now with so much great attention that "Generations" has gotten to create a line that where we have different economies in place. We're going to be able to shift things around and look at things. I still create my line or our line, the product line with a team of very talented people to have a scope of almost a year plus. And when we do that together, we are able to look at all the costs, do all the shakes, checks and balances. One of the things I really brought to the table for "Titans Return" was the suggestion, I saw a lot of people saying online and social media that the line did have a lot of redecos and repaints. So although we I tried my best to make sure they were sensible redecos and repaints that were character focused and made sense appropriate within the Transformers universe, I totally get it. For "Titans Return" we are going to try our best to keep as many new or partially new retools as we can because we're actually entering a different era of Transformers right? '87 had a lot of big Transformers so we're trying to reconcile that going forward.

Yeah, I did see that interview. And what he's saying about less retools in TR does seem to be coming true, given that we have almost two complete waves revealed, and there are only 3 retools, being Soundwave from Blaster, Rumble Frenzy from Rewind, and Astrotrain from SP.(not counting retools of stuff released before TR, like PMOP and Laserbeak).

MTMTE is to blame for my wanting of Chromedome. One of those cases where the character makes you want the toy too, in my case.

The comics are entirely to blame for my mass collecting spree. I am getting every Lost Lighter they release to build by crew. And it is why I will get every member I can until I have the crew.

What I really want from this is a titans return Mainframe and Perceptor, and also for them to finish the original roster and get Highbrow. All the original headmasters (and juniors) are associated with the Lost Light, so this is the chance! :BOT:

I would count the stuff released before. But with the "casettes", I see no guilt to be had since that's always been the case, as with the seekers. Buzzsaw and Lazerbeak would always berecedos of eachother.

Fortress Maximus thighs can rotate around like Metroplex's and his legs can be bent facing upwards to the sides as the cannons are facing outwards. i'm quite sure that can be done. making the legs look like towers.

just goes to show that Hasbro must've been leafing through their own back catalogues to come up with this city mode design.

I guess that is true. However, if that is true, would it then not be fair to count Blaster and Soundwave, given that (as the only two music player TFs, if I recall correctly) they are destined to be retools of each other?

Oh, I still count the casettes, I just mean that I am not angry or sad about it or dissapointed. And yes, that same feeling goes with Soundwave and Blaster. Only in G1 were they really unique. They've been redecos since (Cybertron/Universe, FOC).

So I count them as redecos but I understand them. And like that interview says, they are used because they make sense. Though I must admit that I really dont like that Soundwave alt mode.

All of them are on my want list ,except for Blaster and Soundwave they're just too large for my liking. Stripes is not looking good to me at all either. I'll probably pick up Astrotrain or Sentinel Prime but maybe both and I might pick up two Scourges for my generations Scourge.

Same here. Mostly the ones I want are the season 3 characters, but Chromedome looks pretty good too.

Same here.

Decepticon Sunstorm wrote:Yeah, I did see that interview.

I would count the stuff released before. But with the "casettes", I see no guilt to be had since that's always been the case, as with the seekers. Buzzsaw and Lazerbeak would always berecedos of eachother.

I guess that is true. However, if that is true, would it then not be fair to count Blaster and Soundwave, given that (as the only two music player TFs, if I recall correctly) they are destined to be retools of each other?

Though I must admit that I really dont like that Soundwave alt mode.

Yeah, they could have at least removed the handle.

I'm up somewhere around 20ish now, and with the last wave of CW and then the TR, I can be in the 30's and potentially 40's by the end of TR out of 200ish :BOT:

This might have been discussed and I may have missed it. At least some Metroplex figures had weak hip and knee joints. Has this been addressed with Fortress Maximus? I imagine with the extra stuff added on Max would be heavier than Plex was.
