I'm hoping so, and it seems to be a trend that the 2nd use of a mold is a bit tighter and more stable, so theoretically it could workout that he is strong, and I really do hope he is. I never posed Plex so he could fall over, but the leg ratchets being that weak hopefully is fixed

Agreed: I believe that, having three years since Metroplex to have gotten the kinks out, that Fortress Maximus might have improved joints.

Me too - I'd also like them to still open like the previous Metroplex toy - hopefully they have not disabled that function.

It's like I said previously about Metroplex a new lower knee replacement would enable him to transform more like the original toy likewise here even if the leg can't compact that extra joint you'd get with a replacement knee would at least allow the leg to be twisted into a tower position of some sort. Not to mention also allowing better for an Oilrig fan mode and more dynamic posing in robot mode too.

It's not a huge part that needs replacing just one half of the lower knee where it attaches to the shin - the existing otherside can likely be retained to save on cost. or it might even be possible to put a cuff or shunt over the whole existing knee and you'd also make the upper legs a tiny bit taller in the process which wouldn't hurt either... essentially all you need to do to get some of the function back is change the way the existing part attaches to the 'what was' the repair bay part of the leg.

As for Metroplex having weak legs you can cut a disk of packaging plastic out and place it over the springs in the legs this tightens them a fraction and can prevent any falling over forwards issues you might have.

Surprised me that Wheelie was the star so far even though I never been a Wheelie fan. Chromedome looks super sweet, hard to replace the TFSS Chromedome but this one will as fast as I can get him. He should be a headmaster, I love the Headmaster cartoon and IDW Chromedome(I dont think of him and rewind as "gay").

With the voyagers all being triple-changers and headmasters, this may be the perfect time to get me an Apeface finally. With updated Springer, Chromedome, Menasor and Sky-Lynx, just about the only one left on my wish list is Apeface. Oh and an actual good Goldbug. Is anyone else thinking of taking the Gen. Scourge head and modding it onto the TR body?

I already use my FP Toy as a Classics like Chromedome and the TFCC one as a TF Prime stand in - so the new one will be treated as part of this "Sub Universe" I can't really treat these things as Classics any more they have drifted away from that a bit to much now. so I treat then more like I would TF Cybertron now - as a distinct thing in it's own right - which I suppose it will be essentially what they are making here is a modern answer to Unicron Trilogy with Titans Return being line 2 of 3.

I'm more looking foreward to Snapdragon, but I would love to see new versions of all Headmasters with beast modes.

Chromey: I want him because 1) I had his g1 toy as a kid...till I lost his head (well more accurately, another kid in school half inched it) 2) because of IDW, well again, more accurately it's James Roberts fault, he made me care about him, and now I want all the lost lighters (same boat as you dmax!)

If I still had g1 Chromey then he would be on a shelf with my g1 rewind.

I like the sideways one, though I'd hope if they did it they would make a built in head for his real noggin

the only nitpick that i have with that Sideways is that he doesn't have his horns on his head! but i think he was a headmaster?(of sorts) coz it formed the rider for his bike, if i remember correctly?

Indeed, his two headmaster partners actually combined into the rider for sideways alt mode. It was cool. Shame the toy was such a brick

I'm just curious. What is the purpose of this hinge that connects FortMax's right arm to his torso?



I remember a similar hinge is used on metroplex to make his arm into a tower, but what about this one? I've not seen any mode where it's used and there isn't one on the other arm.

I think it was something that was carried over and doesn't have any actual use, but who knows.

It's a leftover hinge from Metrople, but on the opposite arm and facing a different direction. Hhhhmmmmm...

As this was retooled from Metroplex, it may just be a leftover of the design that is not intended to be used. I suppose it could be used, but I don't think the intention is for it to be used

maybe that hinge is still functional? but god knows what you would need to use it for
