Why? Legends class Skrapnel already came with a Reflector. A unique mold one, at that.

To be fair maybe it's for the sake of having a bigger Reflector then the Minicon sized one which is nice.

Plus remember Shopshop and how he got a remold of Scrapnel after he got a unique minicon sized mold?

I was looking for this info and finally found it. Yeah, turns out Brawn and Gnaw were set for release a while ago. Here is a quote from Hasbro regarding the two back in 2015:

There are plans for the distribution of these characters in 2015, unfortunately I do not have an exact date of arrival.

I guess they got lumped into 2016. Good to know Hasbro didnt give up on them.

Don't forget both were a part of the same rumor where we found out about Generations Brainstorm from a while back too. They have been several years in the making :MAXIMAL:

Brawn would be nice. I hope that if it is based on Gears/Swerve that it's a retool to look more like Brawn and not just that mold in Brawn's colors. If we get an actual legends Gnaw, though, I will flip my lid.

I think that this version of Brawn might actually be a deluxe headmaster brawn and not the gears repaint that was talked about a few years ago.

I would prefer a retool of the Swerve legends figure though. Puts Brawn in better size with the rest :MAXIMAL:

But Gears is a Swerve Retool with a head that looks a bit like Brawn's to boot.

a) legends class
b) CW shockwave mold
c) Possibilty to get in a multipack
d) Will be displayed in botmode
e) would presumably fit really nicely into my season 1 shelf
f) hints about some hidden feature that might be combination anyway

Nah I'm pretty firmly in the not minding camp

Legends seems most likely. As was mentioned before both Brawn and Gnaw were supposed to be part of the missing series of Legends figures between #010 Gears and #018 Nemesis Prime. That's seven Legends unaccounted for. We know from previous reports that Legends Gnaw is coming so it only makes sense that this Brawn will be the missing Legends figure. Plus he'd be the worst figure yet converting over to a Titan Master with his dome head. If they did do a Deluxe he wouldn't be his familiar Earth form since all of the Deluxe class figures so far have been Cybertronian looking.

william-james88 wrote:This gives me hope. Since Apeface was releaved earlier this year in Nuremberg as just a head. If there is a body being made for Loudmouth then there is hope that there is a body for Apeface and Snapdragon. Making a whole class of triplechanging headmasters and NOT releasing those two would be some epic trolling.

Don't forget the same report said Chromedome was just a Titan Master so it's possible the Apeface they saw also has a body and isn't just a TM. I'm sure we'll know for sure at BotCon.

ZeroWolf wrote:Very interesting, I think the alpha trio uniwolion thing will be settled when we see the complete toy (not art) or the back of his box...unless it cops out and just says beast mode...

I think his head turning into the lion Battle Beast pretty much confirms his beast mode is a lion and the designer is better at drawing dogs than cats.

ZeroWolf wrote:When you take a step back you can see a lot of beasts in this line...gives me pause for thought about the third line.

In one sense I wish all of these to be wrong in some way, just so what we get is a surprise. But either way it's a good time to be a fan.

Personally I hope the final part of the trilogy is a massive franchise war that pulls from everything. This was the early rumor for what Armada would be way back when, but that story line got disappointingly turned into the original Universe toy line and picked up on by the TFCC. It doesn't have to break characters up by their respective origins, but something like we saw just before Combiner Wars, but on a bigger scale would be nice.

YoungPrime wrote:Plus what are the odds that Skullsmasher's mold could be an Alicon?

Prevailing rumors point to both alligator Optimus from the original cartoon and Beast Wars alligator Megatron (with Mindewipe being Optimus Primal). Alicon might work as a movie anniversary figure, but with the more popular Gnaw being only a Legends figure I wouldn't expect much.

MemphisR56 wrote:I'd imagine there'd be a certain joy in knowing about certain figures coming that other people don't yet know about.

Not being able to share figure information I've gotten is one of the most aggravating experiences imaginable, I couldn't imagine doing it because I wanted to.

So I guess he'll be a Leader class. :-?

If he is to go with Megatron, then he would be voyager class.

Eh, it's not like Hasbro makes any kind of effort to pair up the Autobot and Decepticon leaders in the same size class. We've already got Leader TR Powermaster Optimus Prime with no scale mate while CW gave us Leader Megatron (x2) and Voyager Optimus Prime (x2). Then there's the oddballs like Reveal the Shield Laser Optimus Prime and Universe Galvatron. When was the last time Hasbro actually made an effort in CHUG to make both leaders the same size class, Classics?

Since this is Prime Wars and we are getting PM Prime in this line what are the chances of "Star Convoy" being another unrelated Prime?

I'd rather see that Megatron repainted into Overlord since we already have a good Voyager Blitzwing.

Can't see it personally as the recent set of minibots have all been legends scale, now that's not to day hasbro wouldn't do it, but it's highly unlikely.

It would also be out of place with how the toyline is.

All characters released so far have been from either 1986 or have never had a official retail toy and this includes guys who were never Headmasters before.

Powermaster Optimus counts since its based on a toy released after 86 one exception would be Astrotrain.

A lot of those figures are to be determined and the info about the clones and Predaking is all wrong. Brawn is a Titan Master, not a legend.

As with anything, it's always best to wait for an official reveal. You never know what they could cut or add this early.

no offense to Chainclaw but we really need to get real here! & wait for an official word to drop, & if any of what he says turns out to be accurate, then i'm sure we'll all have a lot to talk about, but until such time, it's all just rumour, conjecture & speculation.

hopefully some of it will turn out to be accurate....coz personally, i'd really love to see a Tidal Wave, Broadside done.

The head turning into lion Battle Beast is for Double Cross, not Alpha Trion:

To answer your question, Doublecross looked very good to me. Sort of what you'd expect, he was basically a bulkier/thicker looking version of the G1 toy. My buddy was telling me they got rid of some kibble by incorporating it into the lower legs in robot mode.

His head comes off and transforms into "the white lion from Battle Beasts." he said a lot of these are very Japanese oriented, so Doublecross in particular is an homage to an episode of G1 from Japan.

Also, the last time in CHUG that there was a Megs and "Prime" at the same scale was Generations Megatron's Stealth Bomber body and Orion Pax both being deluxes. There was also them both being deluxes in their Cybertronian forms in the first Generations wave.

Oh, right, what was I thinking. I even own all of those. #-o
But I don't count Orion Pax since he wasn't an Autobot leader, just an officer. He was pretty good at catching buzzsaws in his face, though. Still, this doesn't change my original point, Hasbro will mix the scales when they feel like it.

Ah, see, this is what happens when you read an article and then read five pages of comments. You get your info crossed. That's actually too bad, I'd really like Alpha Trion to have an unusual Titan Master, but it does make a lot more sense for Double Cross considering the Headmasters cartoon.

I do love all of these Easter eggs they're slipping into the line.
