I'll probably be getting the Reprolabels too, once they have the full set. I'll be getting Perfect Effect's upgrade gun for him too, I already have their sword. Soon, he will be (mostly) perfect...

For all intensive purposes, I am not longer active on Seibertron. If you want to find me, I'm most easily reached on Twitter, @sigma_magnus

I voiced my gripes against him back before he was released but knew in the back of my mind I'd most likely get him anyway. The stock basemodes aren't great but I found a simple configuration I like. Looks nice on my desk, especially with Scattershot as a turret connected to the central tower instead of Cerebros.

Am I just suffering memory problems, or do we not have a leader class figure opposite Soundwave yet?
For the life of me, I cannot remember who is going to be packed with him in the cases

On another note, picked up wheelie today, and man, does he not want to stay together, like, at all... great little figure though, glad I only paid $5 for him via a gift card, would have not paid full price for that mess

Huh, I thought there was but couldn't think of one. Checked the wiki and nothing there either. Guess not, or at least not yet?

Leader Class are few in number, most likely he'll be the only new figure in his wave, being switched out with Blaster.

So it's likely/possible that it'll be soundwave chillin' with pmop? Cool, I get the feeling blaster won't sell as well as hasbro might like, just a gut feeling, but if he were to chill on shelves for 2 whole waves, that would be bad, as then I really don't think he would sell much at all. Again, just a feeling, but he doesn't seem like the sort of toy the would appeal to kids... I know if I were a kid, I'd want the giant badass truck, not the dumb boombox...

If anything, Soundwave will start out with PMOP, and later will be accompanied by Blaster in a case revision.

Just a tip, keep an eye on BBTS as they sell whole cases, and list which figures and how many of them each case contains.

Yeah, but in all honesty, I would have been on board with a soundblaster (black soundwave) figure, it would've been awesome, and I may have actually gotten that, but as is, I'm staying far away from the leader class until sixshot comes out...

Here's my post from the Awesome Pictures and Poses thread.
http://www.seibertron.com/energonpub/awesome-pictures-and-poses-thread-post-customs-in-customizations-forum--t80180s7225.php#p1815601
I just tried it again and it was a bit more finicky than the first time. Apparently I had some really insane dumb luck! With some tweaking I was able to replicate it. The key seems to be having the thighs rocked back in the joint and the fists tilted down and touching the leg panels. Apparently it makes all the difference in stability. At least for my version of Scattershot. I also added Sentinel Prime's titanmaster seat gun in the arm peg so the little guys can man the cannon.
I found it pretty amazing that the feet fit right in the two front slots and the panels line up fairly well with the back of the tower. I might have to buy the early "Betatron" Scattershot so I can have a permanent weapon emplacement there without compromising my Computron.

I misread, but I still dont think the Ratchets are intended in this final release. They really look more for show. Not saying they werent planned, but it feels more like a dropped idea and any resistance we are feeling is because one joint is tighter than the other. Because Galvatron does have working rachets on his wrists so I would think if ratchets are intended, they wouldnt be weak like this. Its more cosmetic to me.

Did you transform him yet? I thought it was a decent transformation for what is usually very simple. And I like the jet mode too for what it is. Though I dont know where the box is getting its 27 steps from, this aint ROTF Leader Prime.

Along with any of these Legends Headmasters I presume

Anyways, something positive I wanted to say about this line: Isnt that light blue plastic on Scourge freaken awesome?!
I love it. The feeling is great and doesnt feel cheap in the least. Its nice, hard and smooth and that hue is divine. Takara might beat Hasbro in robot mode, but Hasbro's update on the colours in vehicle mode is great.

And here's me having some fun with these new toys

Titans Return still haven't reached anything close to saturation in my area. Only one of the local Walmarts has actually stocked anything, starting with a single case of Deluxe class a few weeks ago, when I got there only Blurr and Scourge were left so I bought Scourge. Followed by a case of Legends that haven't been selling all that great, I haven't really noticed much movement. I haven't bought any of them since I have the Takara Tomy ones on order, though I do want to get Stripes eventually. Last Friday they finally stocked a case of Titan Masters so I got Crashbash and Terri-Bull. Still waiting for Voyagers and Leaders to show up. I can tell they haven't been stocked yet because the store is being remodeled and nobody has bothered moving the two Leader Skywarps from their odd shelf placement or clear other stuff from the Voyager space.
In all honesty I blame Dark of the Moon. That was the last time I can remember walking into any store and buying any new figure I want. Since then the Transformers space has been considerably smaller and entire waves go unstocked or stocked once and never stocked again. I used to be able to brag about finding everything at retail, but now I have to stay on my toes and hunt for stuff that may never be released and pay more to get them online.
Then again, RID doesn't seem to have any trouble staying stocked and there's been a noticeable rotation on those shelves. Maybe all these Transformers lines are causing confusion? I don't know, it's really strange.
Emerje
He only has a few Masterpieces, some Transformers Adventure figures, and a few figures of Lost Light crew members I believe. He's never told me exactly what he has, but he's told me what he prefers to collect.

Funny you mention the 27 steps. The 27 steps in the instructions is what dissuaded me from trying the transformation last night. I'll try it soon.
I did just open Scourge. I LOVE the alt mode. But similar to everyone else, I hate the bobblehead effect. Any simple fixes for that?

I sure am enjoying the fun you're having on the dining room table WillyJ!
And it sounds like Senior Skram is doing something right!
Speaking of Sentinel ...
I got the SDCC set, and am lovin' it. Sentinel's bot mode is great. He is simple and fun to transform. Both alt modes are unsurprisingly ambiguous, but still fun for what they are. I'm sucker for rock candy translucent anything, so this deco, for me is...
Brainstorm is fantastic! He has enough new parts to make him feel new, and the paint job on this one is top notch! I wonder if I like the toy accurate deco on Walgreenstorm better. Toy acc is how I tend to lean but, I didn't have the OG toy as a kid, so it doesn't really matter!
I look at that head sculpt and all I see is the awesome that is, Brainstorm.

I've seen most wave 2 stuff on ebay from a US seller or two for a slight to significant markup. I was skeptical, but maybe things are starting to trickle out. I'll wait for normal prices, though. Wallet still needs time to recover.

Am I the only one who thinks that Trion's front crotch plate looks slightly inappropriately shaped?

As in, those hairs dont add anything to the Lion mode and thus are more like his pubes?

Checked out the local Target tonight to see if it fared any better than Walmart. One Blurr, two Scourges, and a handfull of series one Titan Masters was all they had. No sign of Legends outside of two CW Skywarps, and no indication that they got any Voyagers or Leaders either if the two Scattershots and one Motormaster at the front of the shelf were anything to go by. Still a long ways away from the line making any kind of major impact in the area.
So I was thinking, now that we're winding down on the CW box sets with just Leokaiser (Platinum, I know) and maybe an unannounced G2 Protectobots set do you think Hasbro will try to come up with something to fill that void? It's not like these are some sort of perennial thing they've been doing, but it would be neat if they came up with some sort of Titans Return box set. Maybe a Rebirth box set of seven with all of the original regular Headmasters (minus Fort Max) in cartoon colors? Or maybe a set of some of the current Titan Masters with proper-ish repainted bodies if they don't make it into the main line? Or maybe they'll just up their Platinum game and do more themed box sets.
