Nah, I think, if legit, Broadside/Tidal Wave will be Wave 2 2017. Gotta spread out the redecos to avoid mold fatigue, you know? Besides, there's no guarantee Blitzwing and Octane are even in the cards and design elements were in place "just in case".

Well... I see no reason why Generations, RiD 2015 and Movie lines can't exist all at the same time. Especially if the movies go the AoE route where their toys mostly take up the gimmicky side of Transformers.
Not counting Rescue Bots since that's a completely different aisle.

Also, here is what I am assuming for Titans Return:

It will have 6 waves total, like CW.

It will be released alongside movie figures, just like Rattrap and Tankor were (at least, thats what happened in Canada).

Anyways, Hasbro confirmed the movie line wouldnt interupt the generations toys. So yeah, they will be fighting for shelf space in Walmart and Target. Unless there arent any RID toys coming out for that summer.

It's also very much worth noting that Fall of Cybertron, Thrilling 30, Combiner Wars and (what's confirmed for) Titans Return have never had more than 2 voyagers per wave. Since Optimus and Megatron make up Wave 3, and it's obvious to all of us that Blitzwing and Octane are eventually coming; if this Broadside leak is true then it's very existence confirms that Titans Return has 5 waves at the very least.

Seriously, all they had to do was give the figures some proper knees and thighs, and armada could have been one of the best line of tf's ever: tidalwave, megs/galvy, sideways, overload, super prime...

Looking back, Universe 2.0 and Classics also never released more than 2 Voyagers per wave. Hhhhhhuh. Interesting trend.

On this note, by the way, so far in Titans Return the Voyagers have followed a pattern of one Decepticon and one Autobot per wave - Sentinel/Galvatron, Astrotrain/Alpha Trion, Optimus/Megatron. If this trend continues it's very possible that Broadside would be put alongside either Blitzwing or Octane in Wave 4 rather than the latter two both being in the same wave. We could also then surmise, from rumours, that Wave 5 would be Vector Prime with either Octane or Blitzwing and Wave 6 would be Tidal Wave. There, boom. Entire Titans Return Voyager waves worked out barring some sort of surprise like CW Sky Lynx.

Thought it was part of the leaks (there've been so many, it's hard to keep track of)

But they seem like such obvious repaints (I'm still down for flywheels, I'm not biased), specifically o/p... it literally wouldn't make sense to not repaint them

To me Sandstorm has a square head and mouth plate, perfectly suited for Titans Return. Whatever that Generations head sculpt was it wasn't Sandstorm.

I don't see Tidal Wave in the head at all.

As for Sandstorm's head, I never had the G1 toy nor have I read the comics, so his G1 cartoon head is what matters to me, and I thought Hasbro did a nice job with their Thrilling 30 update.

It was a mix of the G1 cartoon incarnation with the mouth, and the IDW one with the helmet. I personally really liked the head. It was the lack of decent heels and a stupidly huge back-pack that made me pass on him. SInce we're getting a new Blitzwing, I don't see why we can't get a new Sandstorm and probably Springer. I do like my old Generations Springer best, but a new one would be great for a SillySpringer custom.

I totally see that. Looks good, too, IMHO.

As for the heels, they work fine for me. If the wings are folded all the way back then yes, Sandstorm is extremely back heavy. But with the wings angled slightly back Sandstorm looks sharp and stands just fine. I think you're missing out on a great figure.

I'm thrilled the're probably doing Broadside. Apart from the Dinobots, I think they remade almost every characters from the G1 cartoon in the last decade

Honestly, I think that's a bit of a stretch. On Megatron, that diagonal bar thing seems to be part of the actual shoulder joint, and sits on top of the part that swivels forwards and backwards, and has the joint on which the shoulder hinges out and in on the other side of it. With Broadside, it seems that it's just what connects the shoulder's ball joint to the body. Not as shared of engineering as it looks at first.

Wave 5: other Wave 4 Decepticon opposite other Wave 4 Autobot

Wave 6: Tidal Wave opposite unknown Autobot (Leo Prime?)

I can't imagine Hasbro not finding another use for the Galvatron mold, so maybe we will get one wave of two Decpticons. Could Straxus be possible?



Also, what characters could Hot Rod be retooled into? I think Sideswipe and Red Alert would work as they both have the same chest transformation and both were left out of Combiner Wars and could use an update. However I'm more interested in other characters that fit the engineering.

And I'd like to see a Titan Master with door-wings. Seeing Chromedome's roof and windshield end up behind his shins like RID Bumblebee makes me think a door-wing Titan Master is possible.
