From what I remember reading, Hasbro gets absolutely nothing from any box office sales from the movie itself. They do get 100% of the sales from any of the action figures/toys/merchandise and I believe they split the revenue from any of the other licensing products (lunchables, paper plates, things like that). Which, unfortunately, lends creedence to the notion that Hasbro just looked at the movie (once again) as a giant commercial for their products. Maybe they will re-negotiate the terms for the sequels, so that they will actually get a cut from the box office earnings as well, and then they can afford to go one step above when doing the paint app's on some of the figures...
