FINALLY HFTD and Generations have arrived on my side of Canada!
Generations were sold out already, but I managed to get a hold of HFTD BB Bee and Seaspray. Haven't had a chance to open them yet, but I'm excited!
Edit:
Battle Blade Bumblebee - If you don't have a movie Bumblebee yet, or even if you do, buy it! You just KNOW a toy is good when you spend 10 minutes playing with it before you even transform it. The weapon and battle mask gimmicks are UBER cool. And the level of improvement in screen accuracy, detail, and articulation over all previous deluxe movie Bees is akin to ROTF Leader Prime over the Movie 2007 Leader. I know we've been over-saturated with Bumblebees lately, and I've been as sick of them as everyone else, but if any movie Bumblebee is a must-have, it's this one. He's THAT good.*
*Flaws disclaimer: Feet stick out under the back of the car, axe blade is backwards, could use more paint detail.
Seaspray tomorrow!
Edit 2: Seaspray now! He's a little underwhelming. I mean, there's nothing wrong with him aside from some slightly loose elbows, but he just doesn't wow me like BB Bee. Seaspray's fairly well-engineered, but there's just not a lot of complexity, which I find to be the case with a lot of Voyager toys. That said, he's a pretty good update of the character, and I like the weapons, interactivity with Scouts, spinning propellers, and I'm looking forward to trying out the 3mm clip system, once I get a figure with the weapons. I also like how the weapons seem to use standard 5mm pegs, but his hand isn't molded in a block like older figures. I guess he's pretty good, just not all that impressive. I guess if you're really on the fence and don't have a lot to spend, I wouldn't bother, but if you like the character or just need a fix, he's worth picking up. Maybe on sale.
