Say, why so late snagging the AOE toys?

I really only got into collecting the toys recently. When I got into it, I mainly focused on Combiner Wars and RiD, though I caught up to both lines recently so I was looking for new TF toys to buy. While I didn't really like the designs of the first couple of movies, I really enjoyed the looks of the characters from 4 and feel they did much better with those designs. I've also heard that the movie toys have some really good transformations and were pretty fun. I really want to find a Voyager Hound though.

Word of advice, AOE figures are more simplified than the previous movies. Some curse the simplicity, some people curse the over complex nature of the older movie figures. So take of that what you will.

As far as AOE goes, you can't go wrong with Evasion Mode Optimus Prime, Hound, and the Deluxe Dinobots. Though not my favorite, Galvatron gets high praise as well. The Grimlocks are both good, but both have shortcomings. Leader has the best bot mode, and Voyager has the best dino mode.

Anyways, have fun exploring TF's ;)^

Thanks a lot! I look forward to showing off my purchases to you guys! I actually bought movie Slug a short while ago, which perked my interest in the movie toys and got me to look more into them. Like I said, I really want the Voyager Hound though, since Hound was one of my favorite Autobots from G1 (even though I grew up more on Beast Wars than G1, heh).

Hound is great though. So many weapons, fun but not overly simple transformation. You'll love him.

Man, I couldnt agree more. And while Hound (and Galvatron) are kinda simple, I find EM Prime to have not lost any complexity of the previous lines and all the dinos are as complex and detailed as any other beast bot that came before. And that Hound transformation is quite fun and addictive.

I also have a soft spot for Slog but I know it isnt shared.

No sign of wave 2 legends or voyagers (deluxes only), and no sign of acid storm, swerve, brainstorm, chromia or arcee.

C2E2 haul!!! Found myself a 30th anniversary springer, generations black shadow, and generations junk heap. Pretty nice haul, can't wait to open them up.

But Winners/TJ Maxx doesnt get their toys from Hasbro. I feel they get it from a discount wholesaler intermidiary. Shajaki just found a bunch of generations toys from the crosscut/nightbeat wave at Winners and I am pretty certain that is the stock that was supposed to go to the Targets that are now closed. And thus, since their stock doesnt follow the same distribution system as the major toy retailers (of which only 2 are now left in Canada) I don think the hasbro case rules apply. Thats why we only found Gears, Nemesis Prime and Cliffjumper at Winners (along with some Blaster data disks). And cosmos has been available for a year now at Walmart. I dont remember who else was with him when he was on the shelf aside from Tailgate and Shrapnel. It also got confirmed that Swerve was available last year at Target in Ontario so I uess Canada did get him too. Still, I dont think acid storm was ever sighted anywhere in Canada (not that I need him). I welcome anyone to correct me on this matter.

Junk Heap uses the RTS Wreck Garr mold (Moosey, please be careful with that toy, do not transform him too often or else his handlebar will surely break, it is a serious flaw and I hope you dont end up in the same position as so many other fans). And I am pretty sure the other is generations Sky Shadow.

WJ, I'm really baffled. You never saw Swerve? Cause once he showed up here, he didn't leave. If you found Cosmos you shoulda found Swerve. Those two were EVERYWHERE (here anyways).

I have Swerve. I bought him a bit after Cosmos, when I really wanted something new. He was indeed here, with Cosmos, and there was a lot of him everywhere.

I don't think I ever saw Gears/AcidStorm. Starscream/Megatron either. I had to buy Megs and Screamers off Ebay for crying out loud!
