I've heard that the original release had issues. My first Crosshairs was from the "Autobots United 5-Pack" which had zero issues transforming, and I really fell in love with the figure. I then bought Hot Shot simply to give CH another gun, but I couldn't get him to tab together properly for car mode to save my life! So I know the frustration.

ClearlySane88 wrote:Next is Galvatron. His robo mode is a little meh to me, but I love the transformation.
Yeah. Galvy has a lot of fans, but that's pretty much how I felt. To each his own ;)

ClearlySane88 wrote:Finally, I LOVE Hound. I think they did a great job with him and his robot mode looks like it came directly from the movie. He also has a pretty fun transformation, with hiding the head in the cab area and then swinging the arms around to form the back end. I also love that he comes with a ton of guns that you can combine into on massive, all most silly looking gun.
Again, I waited to get Hound because of that AU 5-Pack but was pretty blown away by Hound. Just a fun figure with tonnes of weapons.

Ahhh. That's what C2E2 means. I knew it sounded familiar.

Yerp, should've specified that. It's really worth going to, if you live near/in Chicago. Also Shajaki, are the AOE Dinos worth collecting? I got Slug (the triceratops), but didn't grab the others. I thought Slug wasn't bad, are the others good?

Here is my list which can be found in a thread dedicated to determining which dinobots are the best. To be truly honest, I find that even though the AOE toyline was all about the Dinobots, my favourite AOE toys were EM Optimus, Drift and Hound.

1) Slug
2) Slog
3) Snarl
4) Scorn
5) Voyager Grimlock
6) Strafe
7) Leader Grimlock
8 )Slash

Easy reasoning, Slug has the best robot arms and looks great in both modes with nothing looking odd or out of place. He owns that knight look really well too and I love the splitting of his head. Snarl has similar points but the robot arms peg him down a notch. The points are similar to a lesser extent the more down you go. I would like to say that although my favourite AOE figures are the autobots (EM Optimus and Drift), I really do not dislike any of the Dinobots that came out. They were all fun in their own way, I just wish there was more articulation and a greater effort put at hiding away the robot hands and feet.

Sorry I missed ya there Moosey!

WJ has some great points there. EMOP was easily my favorite. Hound is way up there, so is Crosshairs even with his limitations. After that, Slag, Scorn, and both Grimlock's are my favorite Dinobots. Actually its probably easier for me to pick the figures from AOE I didn't like!

I ended up getting most of the AOE figures in a premium deco between "Autobots United 5P", "Dinobots Unleashed 5P", and the SDCC Dinobots. Primo paint jobs made me appreciate these figures quite a bit.

I'd go for all the Dino's aside from Slash.

Having also gotten a hold of Slash recently, I would agree with all points made about him being the lame duck of the new Dinos... and yet. I strangely have grown to like him.

Now understand something about me - I am a HUGE dino-nut, ever since I was little. It was through the ol' classic Dinobots that I got into Transformers to begin with. That said, raptors have never been favorites of mine. Not for any particular reason, except for maybe how popular they are with just about everybody since like Jurassic Park and well, sometimes I'm that one stubborn dick that goes against the grain for no other reason than to do just that. So Slash was on the bottom run of my priorities list.

Despite his faults, I found myself liking him a bit more. Maybe it's the fact of his status being the under-dog of his group, but really I think it's 'cause I love the unique silhouette he has with the curve of the spiny tail running down the back, the claw-shaped shoulder guards and where his hatchets are holstered. Just lots of curved, bladed edges. My god... he IS the Edgelord!

Just a small haul today. I was going to pick up Slog and another Transformer at Toys R Us (I had a price off coupon), but I couldn't get over there before they closed.

Image

I decided to pick up the Tiny Titans after seeing BW Megatron yesterday. I thought I would pick up a couple of the previous wave to check the quality and see if I wanted to collect the whole set or just pick up Megs.

While AOE's are still clinging to shelves I'm surprised that you've been able to snag all these guys. At this rate you'll have the whole line! Have fun with Drift, it's a pretty awesome figure (which I totally overlooked in my previous posts).

Yeah, I've been hitting different stores in my area, since each one seems to only have a couple of figures. I think I may be running out of stores to check though, heh.

Just opened my Tiny Titans packs and ended up with two Bumblebees, so that kind of stinks. Otherwise though, I kind of like them. Cute little things and the quality seems to be okay. I may grab some more.

As for Helicopter Drift, I really like him a lot. His helicopter mode takes a bit to transform him into (it took me a while to get his legs to turn into the tail correctly), but it looks really sweet.

I'll be waiting for wave 2 of the deluxe to get the missing arealbot. I've yet to open them up and trying them, but I have a good feeling.

Also, Thundercracker for my sealed TC wall.

That helicopter mold is phenomenal. The only reason you dont hear talk about it more is because it was released for DOTM (in great deco, I might add, with a killer headsculpt) and it was praised then. What I like alot about it is how the alien theme from the movies is toned down for a more robotic feel. It is a nice merge of the two aesthetics, with layered armour in some places and smooth surfaces elsehwere (like the arms). This is probably the best helicopter mold out there.

And great Haul Kanrabat! I hope you have a bunch of fun. I find it funny how we went the reverse. I am still waiting for my takara superion but I hope to have my complete hasbro stunticons soon :)

Congrats on this great haul. Wheeljack is one of the best Transformers toys ever and he is the one toy I could never regret paying full price for. And good job on snagging WFC Bumblebee. That little bugger has eluded me since I started started collecting early 2014. During that time, I have been able to find good deals on awesome stuff like Beast Wars Neo Ultra Mammoth, Beast Wars II Mobil Base, Universe Dinobot, WFC Optimus, RID God Fire Convoy, Energon Omega Sentinel, G1 Scorponok with Lord Zarak, ROTF Leader Megatron as well as First Edition Bulkhead (to name a few) BUT that little bugger (and ROTF Lockdown) have been the hardest things to find at a decent price. So, really congrats on this amazing haul!

I think Bee's great, he was MOSC and I only paid around £20 plus P+P. IMO he's worth every penny and more, so happy to finally have him in my collection.

While I can't speak for the others (I don't have 'em), I think you'll like Skywarp. While he's not the greatest of all time, by any means, he's still a fun figure with an excellent alt mode ;) .

Unlike the others, Knock Out is a new character, so I would guess that they just didn't have a fitting homage for him aside from the G2 Decepticon colors.

I went hunting at TrU for the last day of TF sale. I found CW Powerglide, RID W Optimus, and a single RID W Drift. Optimus, I wanted from the start, and I heard so much good about Drift. Plus, they had only one. Strangely, they had a wolfpack of Steeljaws.

The irony for that sale is the prices went down to what the REGULAR prices were just a year ago. Proof the price hike was quite dramatic for the legend, scout, and deluxe classes.
