Seeing Cobster's background, these Combiner teams this really makes it easier to reeanct those battles in the 1984-1985-1986 show.
Just can't wait for Devs. (Btw, it's already May)

It's tough. I never had the original moulds used here for Depthcharge or Rampage, so the newness might be biasing my judgement, but I really do like Depthcharge. I got these two "just because" and it was actually cheaper than tracking down one of the original releases... Plus helped share the cost of shipping across the lot, and gives Lio Convoy someone to hang with when he arrives.
Electro was bought for me Neo-G2 collection, as was Mirage (not exactly G2, but close enough for me) and I really like the Kup mould, but unfortunately like my Asia Gen Kup, his chest was mis-assembled so I had to perform surgery, and one of the pins on Nova Prime's shoulders wasn't quite in properly, so was preventing the arm from coming all the way forward.
All fixed now, even made up a photo comic I'll post later.
The Vehicons were bought so I can build up a Vehiconic army of individual releases, no double ups. Plus I like the moulds and patterns.
And yes, they're all repaints. But my collection has been all about characters, rather than moulds. So I don't mind have duplicate body forms as it seems to make sense that a bunch of robots might have shared the same assembly line.
I'm kind of regretting not getting MW Sandstorm to put on my Neo-G2 shelf... Maybe if there are enough cool Botcon releases from this year I might do another batch.

Oh how I LOVED the Machine Wars Botcon set. Luckily its so underrated that they can all be bought on the cheap. I suggest going for the whole set.prjkt wrote:I'm kind of regretting not getting MW Sandstorm to put on my Neo-G2 shelf... Depthcharge was my first experience with the mold as well, and it floored me. You should try and track down the MW Starscream as he's equally pleasing.

Gratz! Thundercrackers blue is so dreamy, but overall I think I ended up liking Banzai the most-Kanrabat- wrote:Received my Banzaitron from Lena today. I'm a bit disapointed because the toy don't come in the sexy clear box the Alternity line usually come in. I originally planned to keep it sealed. Oh well, I openned that sucker and threw away the box. That car is really NOICE in black! I'm yet to transform him but I really hope he's not floppy-loose like Skywarp.

To give some more significance to my Voyager Classic Inferno mold collection, I got both G1 Inferno and Grapple. I paid the price, but both are vintage G1 and in PRISTINE condition, 100% complete!

I love the vehicle and bot modes, but I don't like the neuteured firing-fists gimmick of the time. The hold fists and missiles very loosly. Still, I'm glad to finally own them!

An exquisite haul!
Quickslinger arrived from Amazon today. Love that head sculpt and the paint apps are crisp, sharp.

Y'know, my views ended up being very similar to yours. I don't hate Dead-End, but he's probably my least favorite. Those stumps for shins and lack of feet.. *sigh*. Breakdown who looks particularly bricky (and those crotch joints
The star of the show for me ended up being Air Raid! He looks like he jumped straight out of a Dreamwave comic! And say what you will about Pat Lee as person, but I always loved his art. Air Raid is just fantastic

I think I hyped Offroad up a bit, but he's still pretty great.

Ya. Breakdown is fine. Once you wangle those hips into place he's fun to play with. Cool head, neat shape all around. colors are good, and he comes with that sweet sword. I like to take that sword and put it on the bottom of the hand so Menasor's big sword has a dagger pommel. Plus his alt mode is HOT! Some times I stare at it waiting for Crockett and Tubbs to get out.
Keep fiddling with Off Road. He might grow on you. Put that foot hand on his fore arm like a shield.

While I also have issues with Breakdown, I LOVE the look he gets when you insert the foot/hand on his back. he gets these awesome back missiles ala Onslaught.
I always pose him with that in robot mode to the point that if he doesnt wear it, he looks naked

I think the main reason I ended up liking Air Raid so much is because he looks like an F-14 Tomcat, which is never a negative in my opinion.

Sincerely, I'm not very satisfied...
Excellent painting and details (and I like the pose in the picture: more emphasis for the plasma cannon and "cannon" on the back ^ ^), but the horrible arms pivots, recall this image...

The pivots are necessary for the transformation, but what a great robot figure sacrifice...
Very nice tank, with rotating turret and realistic track tank, but not much realistic color.
In my opinion, very nice, but overrated because it's Megatron.
