Got myself a Mandrake order that have FINALLY arrived. Well, I did pay the cheapest shipping.

So, I got Arms Micron Thundercracker (Zapdos in Japanese) and my first ever Disney Transformers, Donald Duck "Bumblebee" B&W edition. Not a bad deal at 60$CAN shipped for the lot.

I'll play with Donald later. Look like a neat little guy.




As for TC, he'll go into my sealed-on-card TC collection. I have the Starscreams open to play with so it's a thing I love to do. As for Skywarp, he's ignored.

Holy crap holy crap HOLY CRAP!

A guy I did trades with last year just open a new geek store in town. Half the store is dedicated to Transformers. He's full of G1 figures. Anyway, he mailed me about his store and I proposed him some stuff for store credit.

The store owner have no problem with trades, as long that I mailed him in advance about what I would bring to not waste anyone's time. So, I dug up the most interesting stuff that I either buried in storage or I no longer cared about.

This Is what I brought him:

Beast Wars Neo Randy (new), Takara Armada Ironhide (demolishor) non-transformable action figure (new) Beast Wars Optimal Optimus (100%), Movie '07 Scorponok Desert Battle (new), Target's Silver Knight Optimus & Grimlock (new), BH legion Airachnid (new), Animated deluxe Cybertronian Optimus Prime (new), Play Arts FFX-2 Paine and Rikku (used), Movie '07 Barricade 1st Encounter (new) and TF Prime Starscream VS Bumblebee (new).


I also gave this:
NECA 9" Alien (new), Hegemon 1st edition (used), Universe Nemesis Prime with the Armor (100%).


And finally but not pictured, I gave all of these loose TF toys:
Movie '07 Blackout, Botcon Sharkticon Landshark (with card and manual), FOC Starscream, Movie '07 legion Jazz, and final finally, G1 Bombshell and Shrapnel (no guns).

SO, WHAT DID I GOT FOR ALL OF THE ABOVE?
Sure, I gave lots of stuff and the store have to make a profit. However, in pure value, I guess I win big time.
And now...


First, the two CW deluxe I missed for my custom needs. Fate chose Blades and First Aid. Both without accessories but I don't care.


I got G1 Pretender Roadgrabber, 100% complete and in great shape.


Also, one that I never knew existed. G1 Mega Pretender Crossblades. Pretty fun with the derpyest helicopter mode ever. Of course, 100% complete


And here...

I'm just baffled. Sure, in pure cash, the store owner will make more in the long run. But holy crapiest crap, I never, ever expected to see G1 Bludgeon and G1 Thunderwing in store. Yet alone coming back home with them. And furthermore, having TWO MORE pretenders! One being of high value! I would have gladly given all of that stuff for Bludgeon and Thunderwing alone. Crossblades and Roadgrabber are cherries on top of that unexpected sundae!

Unloading stuff that I don't need and take a lot of room for super rare and expensive collectibles? Eh, ANY TIME!

^ That's a nice swap, especially if it means clearing out unwanted stuff that was just collecting dust rather than being enjoyed. I have a near complete Crossblades myself that I bought around 12 years ago as an adult and still think he's a cool pretender.

Anyway, I guess I've neglected this topic for a few weeks so here's a quick rundown of what I've gotten since my last post:

-TFCC FSS 5.0 final set (Toxitron, Counterpunch, SG Starscream)
-Voyager TR Megatron (from Walmart)
-Mandarake Q-Transformers order (Starscream, Thundercracker, Skywarp, and black movie Prime)

Here is my haul. Review of changes between 2 Drifts coming (way more retooling than any of us thought) and I can say that Sqweeks is easily the best toy of the line so far. Probably will be the best deluxe figure.

Wave 4 Deluxe and Legend class figures finally made it to my area. I snapped up everything except Kup(who was mysteriously missing) and Cosmo(because I have the previous version). I think I like the green on TR Cos a bit more than the older one.

Krok and Quake are nice repaints but maaaan Perceptor, Topspin, and Seaspray are incredible! Topspin is my new favorite deluxe. So chunky. So Awesome. Seaspray was my favorite Transformers toy back in the day and this new one may be my favorite legends class ever. The only thing that could have made it better would have been wheels on the bottom of vehicle mode. And ditching the weird accessory. I love this line more and more as it continues to roll out.

I'm going to have to hunt around for Kup somewhere else tomorrow.

very cool Mr Skram! Those Legends you describe are wave 5 though, not wave 4. Did your stores skip wave 4 then? Thats the wave with Brawn.

Oh woops. I usually like to fact check before I post but was too excited. I got the wave 4 legends in my stores a few weeks ago. Seems to be a weird staggered release around here with mixed waves of the different classes.

Thats normal this far in the line. Waves only work at the class level, like wave 4 deluxes should appear before wave 5. But the legends and other classes dont always synch up and often arent meant to. Like in the currently movie line or the RID line, every class follows its own rhythm.

Some years ago, when I started collecting Transformers, I still had one of my Childhood's Transformers. G1 Apeface. He was then yellowed as hell and one of the ape arm's ratchet was busted. I planned to repair it and removing the yellowing. I even ordered a Reprolabel sheet of stickers for that. But then, I gave up the idea and I stupidly sold it for less than 80$US shipped on Ebay.

This is my old Apeface by the way:


Recently, I had the urge to get Apeface back but he was always over 200$US on Ebay. I nope'd each time. But then, two weeks ago, I saw a listing that just pop up at 100$US buy-it-now! 100% COMPLETE! The catch was that he was very dirty, very dusty. I took my chances and bought it.

Then, the EXPENSIVE shipping fee. And the custom fees. And the exchange rate. Sigh... How can I afford 180$CAN?

Well, time for video below because I'm an idiot:


Even though I paid around 40$CAN in shipping alone thanks to the stupid "Ebay International Shipping Service" (imported from the USA), it still took two weeks to get. No thanks to Canada Post incompetence in summer time that added an extra week-end on top of that. Sigh...

No matter, 180$CAN is still better than 250$CAN or over 300$CAN. So, I finally got G1 APEFACE back!

After a HUGE two minutes of dusting using a hard paint brush, I now have a G1 Apeface that is ALMOST BRAND NEW!

No Yellowing, perfect labels, clean, and tight joints all over. It's WONDERFUL!


LOVE that jet mode. I always rise the ape legs one click to make it look better.


The ape mode look very intimidating from the right angle.


The bot mode still look bizarre with starving-anorexic-with-a-huge-backpack. I still love him and he now have a child! How sweet!


Now, to wait for a proper Titan Return voyager...
