I got some gift cards. I used them to order a Combiner Wars Victorion, and then Generations Sky-Byte, Rattrap, and Waspinator.

After going through hell with the unreliable "Saturday" bus services at Laval, I just had 10 minutes to hunt and shop at TrU. Appart the poopy PoP voyager Grimlock and Starscream, there were nothing else in PoP. Except a lone Rodimus Prime hidden along an armada of Overlords. So I picked him up. At 13$ off, it wasn't so bad. I'll unpack and judge him later. The TLK deluxes were at 15$CAN only so I finally picked Crosshair. It's a pretty solid mold with a simple transformation, a great bot mode, and a sexy, sexy car mode. However, he's WAY too green. In due time, I'll touch up his paint like I did for Cogman.



Those may be my last TF purchases of 2017. But my pay is this week so..............

My PotP Dinobot Slash finally came in the mail today. I'm very happy with the purchase. She compliments my G1 Dinobots well, and if to people uninitiated with Transformer collecting, they could be forgiven for not realizing she was not released at the same time. The molding on the velociraptor head and body perfectly match up with G1 styling. She also scales very well next to the other Dinobots. Very happy.

[Rodimus Prime]

For Christmas I was given TR Overlord as a present. It was totally unexpected and it made my Christmas. I had been hunting for this figure for a while. I must say it's a very solid and imposing figure, goes great with CW Magnus and PE Warden. I don't intend to use the Prime Master feature in the chest, but I put Rodimus Prime from the Velocitron set in Dreadnaut's place, and it doesn't look bad. If I find Ominus from Sky Shadow by himself I'll get him to go with Dreadnaut. Until then, he will represent the IDW version. Unless there is a Titan Master out there that resembles Ominus?

Anyway tl;dr I got Overlord for Christmas and I'm very happy.

I had a very modest xmas TF haul - my mother-in-law got me PotP Dreadwind.

I held that figure several times, but could never pull the trigger. Turns out to be fantastic and I just love the deco. Even though it shares a lot of parts with Skydive, the new parts/deco really make it, its own thing. All I can see is a purple hooded super hero though

Felt like crap so treated myself. Bought one of those heavily price-reduced cute RC Sqweeks for £17.49. Titans Brainstorm for £19.99 (was sorta done with that line but I didn't know Brainstorm came out in the UK so I thought I'd have a look especially since I got his Toyhax sticker sheet for 1 cent when I ordered some others a while back). And found that G1-esque RID Grimlock in Oxfam for 99 pence. Kinda fun figure but I so hate that off center RID Autobot insignia and the fact it's indented. Interesting leg/tail transformation. Seems better at doing what it does than the PotP Grimlock. Oh and I got another TMNT OotS foot soldier biker for £1.99 cos I love these lil figures.

Picked up PotP Jazz today, it was a surprisingly simple transformation. But the figure looks good on a shelf. I also saw Dreadwind, I'm thinking about going back to pick him up tomorrow. Darkwing is coming in a later wave, correct?

Yeah, on the pegs they had Kup, Misfire, Hot Rod who were £18.99 and Hardhead at £17.99 so I guess Brainstorm was a bit more expensive cos kinda rare. Like I said just suprised cos I didn't realise you could get it at all in UK especially hanging up on a peg.
They also had the Cloudburst, Skullgrin and Metalhawk, Windcharger, Skrapnel PotP figures and Seapray but I wasn't fussed about those.

Brainstorm is a nice figure even though blatantly Blurr-Storm (miss having two tailfins especially when he's got two fake ones on his shoulders... and that cockpit ain't exactly easy to see out of. Also where's his vehicle mode flight stand port?) and I had quite a bit of fun with RC Sqweeks so quite happy with that too.

Legends Nightbird came in the mail yesterday! I'm quite impressed with her. I think I like this one better than her mold mate, Thrilling 30 Arcee. I've got her displayed with her swords attached to her arms, holding her sais, and a blaster on each hip.

Seriously, as far as Knight Optimus toys go, the big "1st edition" mold and the voyager are the superior toys... That is, until some 3p companies publish their own versions, or Takara making a MPM.
