Finally! I’ll be honest, I’ve read about his shoulders potentially having breaking issues over on TFW so I’m more apprehensive to open him up than I was but it can’t kill all my hype! I’ll open him up and transform him after work.

Yup, EB Games (the canadian branch of Gamestop). So in the end that is one more toy I will not be requiring your services for.

Can you compare his Prime Armor to the Dinobot ones? Specifically the color?

This is why I hate how much they padded the contents of the box with the massive stand and extra parts. I wasn't expecting a phenomenal figure, but they sure did everything they could to price him like he is one.

Mine arrives tomorrow.

Its not that the figure is bad, it isn't. Its a great figure, but it is not a $200+ figure. I plan on making a review post for it later, but suffice to say. It is smaller and less complicated than MP36. Significantly smaller than MP Magnus.

Its less complicated than MP Cheetor and Sunstreaker, for goodness sake. In hand, as great as this figure is, it is extremely overpriced, even considering the "extras".

I did, but I'm having serious doubts about going through with it. Then again, I'm a huge sucker for BW MP figures. Takara knows how to swindle me.

Ahhkay. This criticism I can handle, understand. I'm quite surprised to hear he's simplistic though (by the looks of him). Honestly that wouldn't upset me so long as he still looks the look.

The Target near me finally got Deluxes after Wave 1, jumping all the way to Wave 3, and while I've still not yet encountered a Blot in-person, I did find Cutthroat. Combined with my Repugnus coming early and these RiD Cons showing up, we've got all sorts of beasts today.

Been a busy week and a half and I haven't had a chance to catch up with my hauls.

Yeah, after fiddling with them for a while (I took the picture from the first post a while earlier) I quite like these two. They're both great fun, their transformation schemes are unique and interesting, and I agree with you regarding the contrast between their modes. Thermidor's alt mode gives me old-school Batmobile vibes and his face and claws are perfect, and Quillfire is quite the rough-and-tumble little fellow, I quite like his little quill knife and how his head works in the transformation. Overall, I love them both, and the only thing I would change about either of them would be to add a port for Thermidor's guns inside his claws so he could wield them BW Scorponok-style.

Thanks for letting me know! I am always hoping my recomendations turn out ok and I am glad that you like them for the exact reasons why they should be experienced: they are interesting and fun. With fans (rightfully) saying that we need something new in this overly G1 themed franchise, there were these great toys that had new designs, new characters, and new transformations.

Went to Target looking for Studio Series Lockdown, found all these instead. Oh well. They also had Elita-One but I couldn’t afford both, so maybe I’ll run back after pay day if she’s better than Starscream. Also this is my second Nemesis Prime, I love it enough to want to display both Prime and Pax together.

I could’ve put a lot more effort into the lighting and background but I was too excited to get this shot I’ve been waiting to get, plus it took me like 2 minutes just to get Nemesis Pax to be able to hold the Matrix. I’ll retake it later when I can get something cooler looking together. Having this on my shelf is why I bought two Nemesis Prime sets and I regret nothing outside of a cracked looking sticker (?) on the trailer and the chest windows being loose on my second copy.

Pretty decent week. Blast Off came last week. I found a SS Lockdown out in the wild. Tremendous sculpting and detail on him, but possibility is restricted. And today I got these fellas.

MP Dinobot arrived last night, Deluxe Repugnus arrived today (late), and I found a TLK Berserker at Target on clearance for $10 today so it's been a good couple days.

Funny thing about Berserker, someone had picked him up along with a couple of the less desirable simplified TLK figures that were on clearance along with some Cyberverse Scouts and just dumped them in the food section like they changed their mind. Their loss, my gain. Didn't really see anything else I wanted, there was a TLK Leader Megatron for $25, but I've got the more accurate Move the Best version already. Toy clearances were all over the place, not just the toy aisles, they had them in the electronics department and the back wall near the seasonal section (currently lawn and garden and back to school). Looks like they're really gutting the toy department for new stuff this time, shame Cyberverse was the only new thing in Transformers, the rest was wave 1 SS and PotP.
