Unfortunately, the slot was already filled with Combiner Wars. I'm still glad with what we got though. Still WAY better than the Power Core Combiners.

The irony that I just found one and got it

I've seen the Mudslinger set sitting at the same nerd shop I got Thunderwing and that crew from, but never got him. And then I found the other guy today

And I found out his name is crankcase. So I guess he's gonna go with my Lost Light stuff as my Generations Crankcase

For the Power Core Combiners, the core themselves were not bad. Some were even amazing. They even came with some neat targetmasters minicons. Where they did drop the ball is the automorph drones. Just why?

I made some extra money on eBay recently, and I decided to treat myself. I picked up:

Still Shortround is old from 2005 and the pistol was missing.

About the missing pistol, problem solved, i found out that his claw is great for experimenting with weapons with square handles, allowing him to hold these weapons from a 3$ mini mecha figure i bought last year (i cant remember the brand).

So dual wielding the weapon that looks a lot like a red version of G2 Minibot Motormouth's rifle, and Shortround now has decent weapons for fighting and doesnt always need cyber key missiles that hinders his sight.
But he's still the lovable yet cowardly... thunderblast obsessed maniac and sea transporter like his profile says.

Got a pretty good haul today - got Nemesis and Bee in the mail after some issues with his delivery, sold some figures at a toy store and used some store credit to get some Beast Wars/Machines, then got lucky and found Wolverine at Target on the way home. I’ll take some more pictures once I’ve opened and messed with all these (I’ll leave Wolverine out of it) and have a better chance to handle them. All I can say so far is that Nemesis Prime is fantastic.

OK, that's a relief. I think I overthink these things sometimes. So Stinkbomb and Prowl are definitely fun, but Prowl is a bit floppy in bot mode because the wings don't seem to click into place and just stay due to gravity. Is there anything I'm missing? I don't see any holes for the tabs to ttach to.

Prowl is a really great figure, but unfortunately he is on the floppy side. While there’s nothing to really tab into, you have a couple options, if you’ve put the wings in front, for his attack gimmick, you can use his arms to keep the wings stable.

Otherwise, you can just put the wings over his shoulders, ala Silverbolt’s look.

Cool, I'll do the Silverbolt look. Thanks! He is a lot of fun, the chrome is great too. I think I'm just going to put him and my other random beasts with Generations Rhinox and Waspinator, that's really the only place they're going to fit on my shelf for now.

Yeah, Prowl is a pretty fun and gorgeous toy. That transmetal paint is really something, when it’s not all chipped and fractured.



Well it’s not technically a toy, but my Covenant Of Primus just got here. Got it from Amazon for Prime Day. $35 is totally worth it.

So I went back to the collector store where I got Prowl and the other beast guys, I’d sold some stuff and accidentally sold my original Beast Wars Rattrap. Got him back and picked up another couple cheap ones, so now technically I have a Repugnus! He’s not the Amazon exclusive one, but he doesn’t have a giant awkward crotch section and his robot mode is more interesting to me. He’s sure ugly enough though. And the other guy, Noctorro, is really dumb and basic but I love him and his angry little face. I’d like to think he’s got horrible anger problems to try and make up for his diminutive stature.

Obsidian is fine, I realize he’s very small and basic (literally basic class) but I was hoping his shoulders could move out a bit more. Still neat though.

Stinkbomb, on the other hand, is loads of fun! I love the chrome on these Transmetal guys. Stinkbomb has a fun transformation, some pretty great articulation thanks to all the ball joints, a mean looking head sculpt and the most intense mohawk I’ve ever seen in my life. Glorious.

Finally on to Nemesis Prime, I’ve been dying to get my hands on this guy and he does not disappoint (other than the truck mode stickers, but I expected that). He’s big and brutal looking, I almost picture him as the Broly to Optimus Prime’s Goku. The new face designs really help make him stand out from Optimus and the all black plastic looks far better to me than Optimus’ red and blue mixed with too much silver from the trailer, and the clear red windows are just the right shade to be visible but not take over the color scheme.

The part I feel like people haven’t been talking about much is Nemesis Pax, sand he is hands down my favorite thing about this set. I’m actually probably going to get a second copy of the set so I can display Pax and Prime at the same time. His face looks emotionless and sinister, it’s one of my favorite head sculpts in years. Since I don’t have a leader scale Optimus in my collection (and don’t plan to) Nemesis is definitely too big to be a clone, so I like to think of Pax as the character and Prime as a suit of armor he built (along the same lines of Minimus Ambus/Ultra Magnus). I still want a good motivator for him but I could see him just being furious at not being a Prime himself so he created his own bastardized version. Definitely another advantage to him being a leader toy, he looks like a huge brawler. Overall a pretty good haul over the past few days, Nemesis and Stinkbomb were definitely the highlights for me.

Stinkbomb is probably one of the best BW Basic/Scout class figures ever. Or at least one of my most favorites.
Nemy Pax IS the best part of the whole Nemesis package. Totally agree!
