Mine came yesterday as well. While I don’t have any issues with his chest piece, I fully agree on the packaging being a bit much. Overall, I’m quite happy with it.

In general MP figures are more intricate/complex and tend to be more accurate to the source. Bah, my Amazon sale Omega Supreme was supposed to come in today but UPS delayed it do to "weather or natural disaster". It's just a little rain, put on a hat! I've had UPS drivers walk several hundred feet through half a foot of snow down hill to my house because they didn't want to have to drive back up the hill to leave, but this guy doesn't want to get a little wet. 
Anyway, today was my last chance to go to the local Kmart before they close for good Sunday. Picked up 12 series 3 BotBot blind packs for $1.20 each (about $15) so that was nice. Used a code list to make sure I didn't get any duplicates, but they had two fresh display cases worth so I didn't have to search much to find unique ones. Wish I had noticed the Christmas tree was on the list, I would have looked for that one, but at least I got some of the other ones I really wanted.

Definitely gonna get BAF. What I like best of Transformers is the Transformation part and since these are not G1 redos with articulation, there is more freedom to create new transformations we didn't see before. That's definitely the case with megatron so far and I am looking forward to the others.
As for the BAF idea, I preffer not having it be part of generations or other more collector oriented lines. It has gotten out of hand in marvel legends, where it isnt a bonus and instead will reflect the price (like having the bigger component of the BAF be with a much smaller figure where the BAF is practically the main thing in the box) and it will have the BAF be a key character rather than a bonus (or much larger figure). Having Thanos be the BAF for BOTH the infinity war AND endgame lines felt like a huge FU. I just really want to keep the more bonus aspect, which the TF lines have done so far with the 4 BAFs we have gotten.
