Got a rather awesome haul in today, another childhood grail of mine; the utterly excellent Energon Landmine!
I actually got him MISB, but anyway; he's absolutely fantastic. Looks and works great in both modes, easy but interesting to transform, fun to mess with, just a total king of a figure. If you can get him complete, do it. You won't regret him.

While the set from FansToys is definitely more color accurate, and also has an overall better camera mode,
this MakeToys set still overall captures what I wanted visually in terms of robot mode appearance, especially with proportions of the figures themselves. I absolutely love the subtle detail and look of the green chest area.
As I know I'll be phasing out of regular release figures in the next year or so, I could see being very tempted to add to this line-up, even if it means going 3P.
I feel very lucky to have this group!!

Continuing my UT renaissance I got another figure in the post yesterday. None other than the rather excellent Energon Strongarm!
Vehicle mode is just great. Cute, fun little jeep, no complaints here.
Transformation is simple and effective, with the rather nifty spinning wheel assemblies for the arms. Robot mode, whilst not the most articulated, certainly looks handsome. I like to use the axe blades/spare tire as a drum/pan magazine for the machine gun.
Even with limited poseability he can still look relatively dynamic. Helped by that awesome axe!
So yeah, £10 well spent!

Freezing my fingers off as I type this, but finding the one shortpacked Authentic Barricade among dozens of Bees and Megs is worth it.
Despite the obvious cheap feeling, this Barricade have a nice transformation and I prefer this look over the Gen Prowl repaint.
Now I just need to paint those windows.

I really love that Barricade figure, possibly the best of the Authentics. The paint doesn't do the sculpt justice, all the details are there from the package art, it just looks like a blue blur without being painted in.

For the price, Barricade is really good along "deluxe" Soundwave, who may be even better than all the Cyberverse versions.

Got rid of that garbage SS Sideswipe to get SS Jolt instead. He still require a ton of "panels massage" to make his vehicle mode, but at least nothing fall appart in the process and once you're done the car is seamless.

Thanks to the Amazon.ca Flash Sale, I got the first World Collide 2 pack for cheap. Even cheaper because I split the set with my friend. I keep the Sideswipe to complete my Lambo Trio, and my friend will open the Beast Pandora Box with Skywarp.
I ordered the second set for dirt cheap too. I'll keep the Grimlock while my friend will get the Mirage.
