Transformers Toy haul thread

Sideswipe - Excellent toy. Looks so awesome in both modes, definitely one of the best movie TFs by far. I was mildly disappointed by his ability to easily stand, but it's nothing that can't be worked out with a little fiddling.
Sideways - At first I was pretty disappointed by this guy, with his tiny feet, scrawny legs, lack of G1-ness and arms that are too long and bulky in comparison to his legs. He was also a pain to get back into car mode the first time. But once I figured out the proper transformation and fiddled with it a bit, he's grown on me a lot. My favorite (and one of the few) Movie Decepticon cars I own.
They didn't have any Soundwaves out yet, so I picked him up Saturday at a different TRU. I'm kind of disappointed about him in general though. He's pretty cool but every time I look at him he looks short and potbellied. Soundwave's supposed to be long, lean and imposing. Animated could get away with it because it was Animated, all the characters look quirky, but here it just doesn't work. Oh well, I suspect they'll probably release a larger mold of him anyway.

Did you combine them? Im holding out till I hear more about this...Autoclot wrote:Picked up scouts Ransack, Detour and Depthcharge, and legends Prime and Jetfire.
Also holding out on Chromia. Whats the word on her. The only thing holding me back, and its hard to tell at this point, but I want to figure out if all three of the toy bikes will combine like its is rumored (confirmed?) in the film. Is there any indication of the possibility of this?

That's actually the main reason I bought them. Minimus Primefire is now standing on my shelf between Demolishor and Sideways. Of course, having no "official" combination layout, he is basically just Prime with Jetfire stuck to his back, pointing upwards. Still looks cool, though

I actually left him in jet mode nose pointing down. From the CG images I'v seen it ooks a little closer. Just wish there for some instructions for it or that the arms linked up or something.Autoclot wrote:War_On_Errorism wrote:Did you combine them? Did see they also had a deluxe Sideswipe when I had a chance to go down the isle where I normally find the Transformers, of I'd rather wait for the Human Alliance Sideswipe & Epps set. Not too keen on the pairing - don't really fit as a pair to me for some reason - but I remember the individual figures are good enough so I'd buy the set anyway.

My vote for the HOF goes to my favorite Transformer, Kup, to the Headmasters (who still need new figures that aren't just the characters without their master components) and to seibertron.com for for being the ultimate TF resource.

RotF
Leader Prime - Holy freaking CRAP he is AWESOME!!!! 100X better than the first leader prime and I really liked that one too. His transform is as close to movie accurate as I think it is possible to get. WOW!!! This is a must buy!
Leader Megs - Meh. He's OK I guess, about on par with TFTM Leader Megs. The bot mode is better IMO than the first one. The wonky arms bug me, but not as bad as I'd thought. The alt mode is way too tall, it looks like a triple burger. Though, I like that mode more than I thought I would from the pics.
Voyager Starscream - Nice, still not in love with the design, but for what it is, this is a nice rendition of the character that appears in the movies. Way better than the first one.
Soundwave - Nice. Not great, but pretty cool. I like the plane mode.
FAB Longhaul - Pretty cool. A bit small, and I feel the FABs cost too much ($1 MORE than a deluxe, WTF?!?!?!?!) But all in all a cool little bot.
PLUS I scored TFA Dirge and Cliffjumper!!!!!! Both nice little activators. Glad I found them at retail. I suspect they will be hard to come by.
Classics Magnus/Skywarp 2 pack MIB

-Dirt Boss: Great little figure, pretty articulated, good details, but iffy colors...
-Sideswipe: Killer mold! Sucks that he's a bit of a shellformer, but hes a kickin concept vette.
-Rampage: Kinda finicky transformation, but looks brutal in his robot mode, love the 4 legged design.
Going back for Demolisher(

I regret to say I mainly bought it for the box, 1 grey smokestake (twin cannon) and Hi-Q. Depending on the condition, I don't know which PM Prime I'll put on display in box and out.
Still, a bargain at £31.

What was I thinking!!!
what made me do it.. the Price was too good to pass up!! 199.00 and only 8.00 Shipping!!! plus only 500 made. but what sealed the deal for me was this:
http://www.hk-tf.com/discuz/upload/view ... ?tid=12487
dude there are no words to describe how cool this G3 trailer and the whole Upgrade package look.. it's like God masters again, only much better, becauser the Prime and the battle armor are soooo sweet... and sooo coool
was this a good buy, I need some convincing... would you have done the same??
I own no Classics, and I was totally against them, until today..
Why, why, why...
Arrrrggghhh!! FANS PROJECT!!!
Ahh, any of you ever feel this way after a Big Purchase, like you know you did something crazy, and you really want it, but in some ways, you are totally freaking because you paid so much??
but this figure and the upgrade are SOOOOOOOO AWESOME!!!
is this a worth while purchase? it's not official BOTCON, and it's Not Hasbro or Takara..SO is it still a worth while investment, and buy?

As for after-purchase-shock, yeah I've had it, the second where you sit back in your chair and though "holy &%$!, I've just unloaded 300 dollars in under 5 minutes!"
I then console myself telling myself that it was either now or not at all, how rare the fig is and how good a price I got it for and that having it on my shelves will totally be worth it.
Then I do my best not to get impatient
PS. Welcome to the wonderful world of TF Classics!

It's, quite possibly, the best garage kit made so far. The paint apps are better than the Quints. It has a robot mode that allows it to fit into a normal collection (unlike the other Prime trailers which are just trailers and fit mostly only for vehicle mode). And that's just for the regular CC. The exclusive is a very nice peice and comes with some things CC doesn't have. It'll only get more expencive, so it's better to buy now. And, if you don't have an exclucive this'll be your very first.
The only downside is that FP is planning a similar "Henkei" release for the Asian market. But if Hasbro gets to them first .... who knows?

yeah I'm like seriously freaked right now.. I need to step outside for a smoke and relax.. I appreciate the good and kind words of encouragement, it's nice to know I'm not the only one who freaks.. there are so many seasoned TF collectors on this site, that to them unloading what i did was not a big deal.. but to me.. oh yeah!! I'm contemplating what I can do to replenish the funds I just heaved out of my bank account..and control my anticipation..
wow the mix of emotions is over whelming..

Then it was like "Oh...I have to actually PAY for these now!" All together with shipping it was about $300...
There was DEFINATELY some "purchase-shock" there...But by the time the came in the mail I was over it and EXTREMELY happy to have both

Ultra Magnus's Trailer was way cooler simply cause it was just right. I guess this could be seen as Power Master Prime but the fact that it's just another repaint just isn't enuff! And the head looks too much like Star Saber to me. But if history has shown us I'm sure an up-grade for this has already been carved out. Prime is plenty powerful now with the G3 trailer he's haulin'...nuff' said!
