I finally broke down and got Demolisher and Rampage--Demolisher is much better than I expected. Rampage was a chore to transform the first couple times, but now I love him! I also got the Fallen and Ravage in the mail and Stratosphere will be here tomorrow according to the tracking!

Today I found and bought a City Commander Armor Upgrade for 180.00!! Now that is a deal!

Total money spent..470.00!!

pretty much almost a paycheck...(I Pay child support, so I make less then I would had I not set up an automatic withdrawl from my net pay..)

anyhow, that is my haul so far!

next purchases will include an Ultra Magnus and hopefully some more henkei or classics!

Also, hey it's good to see you around again man. I'm trying to get back into regular posting again myself.

Nice to be back Flux, yeah regular posting is something I swore off, the movie toys and figure news brought me back to the forums, but now that I'm back, I am much more interested int he classics then the movie toys.. great to see you back bro!

it's an odd thing.. the Movie though cool and conceptually brilliant, is 2nd to the classics and the FP stuff coming out.. maybe I'm just more of a fan of the blocky toys then the twisted metal stuff..


yeah the D.I.A. release is much cheaper, but only by 30.00 to me..because I spent 199.00 however, buying figures at Botcon can become expensive from what i understand..

We have never had a Botcon this close to my home in Virginia so it sucks, because I will never experience the aw of it all..however, I hope that we will organize something for Richmond Virginia!

I gotta ask though..why did you purchase the Shadow commander upgrade.. I mean I know why I'd want to get it, but I just want to know your take on it. Many people are saying they would pass it up.. but I'm not so sure I want to..

For the record everytime I mention my TFCON set, I will be putting that it is 199.00 in front of the name.. so from now on the TFCON Powered commander is known as the 199.00 TFCON powered commander set.. LOL

I bought Shadow Commander for a few reasons. One is the sword, two is the faceplate. I collect Black Primes and Convoys too among my other half hearted reasons for collecting various other TF figures. I like themes to a degree. I'm only missing The Black Robot Masters Beast Convoy and Lion Convoy. Those I may end up with but I'm skipping them for now. I simply don't "need" them yet. With the sample images showing up again recently of the still unreleased Henkei Black Convoy I figured I'd like the set of armor to differentiate the two better if and when the Henkei one makes it to market. Otherwise it looks great with the version I already own. That's my take. I kinda needed it. Kinda, lol. Was it money well spent? I dunno, I like it though and that's all that matters in my collection.

that sounds pretty cool, thanks for sharing your reason.. I might buy him, but because in my mind, I would want Megatron to have an equal to take on Ultra Magnus, while Megs take on the Powered Optimus Prime..

now what would be cool, is if the FP people decided to do a Classics Megatron Super Upgrade..now that would rule!!

I ordered from the club site, and I picked the cheapest rate ($10, as I remember) too. Mine came today as well; I just get this little peach-colored slip saying I've gotta go to the post office tomorrow and pick them up. Probably be a pain, because they're open 12-2 because it's Saturday and I'm sure it'll be busy (since it normally is). Worth it though.

On the question of Shadow Commander, while I have yet to get hold of that version (love my City Commander to bits though) mainly because I got ripped on a set of last year's SDCC exclusives and have yet to make a point of buying them again (idiot seller shipped them to Germany instead of the UK) I like to think of SC as a Classics Motormaster. I've already got SE Dragstrip and really want to pick up Gentai Wildrider and I think SC would go great with them. Cab and trailer to robot mode made from both, black cab and a huge sword, it's probably as close to a Classics Motormaster as we're ever likely to get.

On the subject of the Botcon leftovers being on the club store: ARRRRGH! My membership just expired on the fourth and I can't justify the $90 for international membership right now (on holiday in about a week and Auto Assembley coming up) just to get a better price on Razorclaw and E1. Guess I'll just have to see what I can snag those two, Leozack and Thunderclash for on the secondary market.

And on the topic (finally) of hauls, picked up Banzaitron and Skyquake from the post office yesterday. Skyquake would have benefitted from some remoulding (new head and reworked 'damaged' sections would have been nice) and seems a tiny bit looser than previous releases of the E Starscream mould but is still a worthy addition to the Classics shelf. The main event has to be Banzaitron though. For me he's the stand out figure from this year's set and the first one that I made a point of tracking down. Great combination of mould and colours, plus it's a mould that I havn't previously had (if either version that was released during Energon made it to UK retail I never saw them) and I'm sufficently impressed that I'll be keeping more of an eye out for Mirage and Dreadwing now.

In this past week I got some of those blind packed robot heroes (Got movie prime, mv bee, mv jazz, mv megs, 2x unicron, hot rod, shockwave and mirage), RotF breakaway, RotF leader Prime (Transformed him once, Don't think I ever will again) and Animated stealth Lockdown with bee and prime legends. I was surprised at how much I love breakaway and how dissappointed I am at Prime. I think lockdown was my fave of the bunch though.

Already said I got the slip for picking up 2009 BotCon Souvenir Razorclaw & Elita-1 (BotCon Anniv. Pack) yesterday; got back from picking it up a little bit ago.

Always felt Cybertron Thunderblast would be a brilliant Elita-1; glad it was done, even as a BotCon release. A member of Grimlock's crew on the Graviton, though? Really? I would have thought a member of the Elite Guard, given the theme of the BotCon '09 box...

Didn't see the leader of the Predacon gestalt unit getting credit for the BW faction's creation on his tech spec card coming, though. Makes sense that the G1 Predacons - or more notably, their leader Razorclaw - would get the credit. Just didn't see it happening. Haven't transformed him into robot mode yet...but I'll get to it...

Received my Walmart Exclusive Ramjet and Skywarp today from FedEx, only took 3 days on standard shipping.

Skywarp looks amazing, only issue with Ramjet is the red paint apps on the cockpit aren't 100% smooth.
