I have no problem counting shipping from overseas. I do sometimes. Its just that its a fine line between saying "Is this extra paint app worth the extra money I will spend to ship it from Japan" and "Damn you Takara, you are charging me 10$ more for a few paint apps, screw you I'm going Hasbro", which is all kinds of wrong. It also takes away how awesome Takara are for giving those extra paint apps and charging the same price as Hasvro sometimes. But another thing about tax is that it varies from country to country and province to state. So someone might have gottena better deal than me simply because he lives in a province that doesnt have the same level of tax. Does that make the deal itself better? So ceterus parabus, not counting the tax highlights the actual deal without bringing in further social commentary (for instance, taxes in quebec may be higher, but out beer is cheaper, who wins?)

Congrats on your haul, its awesome. ANd I love when I see other people get good deals. Almost as much as the manager of Pepperbees likes seeing clients satisfied.

And I cannot for the life of me figure out how to combine Groove with this guy.

Hahaha, yeah combining him would be hard. But we did know that Hasbro put him as part of Sky Reign when we saw the colours on the box. Dont know if I had read that here or on another forum when looking for news. It only makes sense, Hasbro wants to advertize what is also in stores at the moment.

My recent acquisitions (minus G1 Scorponok's helmet):
G1 Trypticon, sadly bare of accessories (including the battery cover). But his walking gimmick works.
An extra G1 Starscream with no detachable parts but the tailfins, plus suffering from a broken cockpit and absent rubber nosecone. Custom fodder
A G1 Hardhead minus Duros (of course) and his accessories. He and the Starscream were in a lot with Trypticon - which I bought for $30 plus shipping.
A second G1 Motormaster, this one not headless. Also a sword for him from a different seller.
Some people are working on their Combiner Wars Menasor.. I am working on the original. The Combiner Wars stuff is better articulated but a lot of it fails to capture G1's aesthetics and it looks kinda messy both in appearance and design. (And since these are new toys of the G1 characters that bugs me. Plus it means they don't fit in harmoniously with the vintage F1 toys like some CHUG toys do) The old toys also have this charm to them, I have to admit. And they look like the show (which is what got me into G1) give or take some wonky character model stuff.

TAV Thunderhoof is just full of awesome. Hasbro wasnt short changing us when they said that the warrior figures would have the traditional complexity fans were expecting. I had more fun discovering him than the entirety of Combiner Wars Bruticus.

That was by far me favourite part. Really didnt see it coming.

And yeah Thunderhoof is boss, probably my favourite of these three simply because of the intricate but intuitive transformation. And that paint scheme kicks so much ass. And I am glad to finally be experiencing Primal in all his glory as the old one I had never had acessories.

As for Thunderhoof, I was disapointed. Not for the engeneering, mind you, but from it's size. It's like a scout vehicle that have a Lockdownesque robot mode. Give me a oversized KO and I will be really happy.

I didnt mind since the robot mode was at least deluxe sized. I was actually impressed at how big the robot mode was compared to the vehicle but I do understand that it would have been cooler to go from a deluxe sixed vehicle and end up with a bigger robot proportionally. I think you would be less dissapointed if you went with the takara deco
