Masterpiece bingo continues. This was a big one, mainly a big pain the ass . I didn't really want him. Hell, I've been collecting MP's since MP1 and I skipped MP4 because I didn't want him even back then. On top of that, he is freakin expensive. But I nabbed this fella from another nice local for only 300 CAD. The absolute lowest he'd be online is 400 CAD, so I'ma call this a win. I think the next most difficult MP on the list will be MP4S

Shajaki, that MP-04 is a great win! Especially at that price. I paid MORE total for my MP-01 Last Shot plus a KO MP-04 trailer.

Anyway, thanks to TrU's mini-sale, I finally got TR Blurr. Man, no regrets because that figure is BRILLIANT! Solid like the Generations of old, with a very brilliant transformation that was fun to figure out on my own. I'm currently cutting back on my TF purchase by buying only the most significant ones because there is other things I wanna buy. Plus $ and [] are limited. Blurr is one of the few "ordinary" transformers I really wanted and don't regret buying.

You know what? You'd be hard pressed to find a Transformer I actually "HATE". Like cover it in gasoline and light that **** on fire, hate. Or, you ruined Christmas forever, hate. There is definitely some movie stuff I don't need, and some Armada that just looks wrong, but hate? Naw.
Definitely not a single mold in CW that I don't think is a fun toy. Even ol' Brawl.

I bought the Deluxe TRU Starscream from RiD yesterday. I guess he's alright, but man the plastic feels like garbage. Every movement feels like it's going to break something. I got him for being Starscream, I've got no attachment to any element of RiD, so I'm not too experienced with the line, and toys like this make me glad for that.

I'm kinda starting to wonder how other people are starting to see this. Like, in real life. Just someone in the car park walking across... and then they glance in and see a guy taking a photo of a very large toy robot on their car dashboard.

Nah, as someone who not only takes toy pics in public but also spends a lot of time in parking lots; I've seen much weirder and more amusing.

Yeah, plus, its usually in a Wal-Mart parking lot, where much more weird activities take place.

For all the hate this guy's gotten, I actually think he's pretty cool. Vehicle mode is covered in guns and gives off the impression of a "proof of concept" prototype made by modifying something else, which appeals to me for some reason, and Betatron's antennae are nowhere near as uncooperative as Superion's. Worth the $7.49, at least.

Well, as she is just a bunch of repainys, I don't have much to say. As others have said, the colors aren't quite as bad in hand. I do like the new headsculpts, and the sword is freaking amazing. Seriously I love that sword.

All in all, at less than 50 bucks for a complete, brand new combiner, I really have nothing to bitch about.

Oh yeah, Scattershot himself has nothing wrong with him. The Silverbolt mold's still great and his vehicle mold is a great retool, plus his head is nice. It's just the same problem with Fort Max at the end of the day - good toy, but not very representative of the character.

For my first Masterpiece she did surprise me quite a bit. All throughout the transformation... well, here are some quotes.
"Bloody hell that is genius"
"Wait that tabs in ther-- how did they design that?!"
"I love her. I love her. I'm in love."

Not a transformation I'd do time and time again, but it is incredibly intelligent and from what I've heard I can only assume other MPs are even more clever. She was very interesting.

Transformation aside... the moment I got her out the box I was in love. The car mode is absolutely beautiful; a stunning paint job alongside a fantastic shape that I could stare at for hours.
Flight mode? Cleverly integrated, really dumb and really freaking cool. Everything I want out of Transformers.

Robot mode... iiiiis where a few problems lie. I don't wanna go ahead and say they're actual flaws because they could just be my copy or, more likely, my inexperience with MPs and reading the instructions badly causing such things.
-The chest doesn't tab in well to the arm joints. Every time I try to position her arms the chest just kept falling out.
-I can't find a place for her head to tab in, so it feels a bit bizarre when I pose her and her head on a stick just goes all around the place.
-The back feels really empty due to the car back being so far... back. Back back back. But seriously it does feel a bit disconnected.

Overall though? She looks STUNNING. They done a fantastic job giving her a feminine appearance without going the route of she-must-be-dainty-and-tiny; no, she looks like a stone-cold badass who you really don't wanna cross. Yet at the same time she also feels like a very kind and delicate bot - a bit like a Superhero; something similarly achieved with Optimus' appearance imo. I dunno. She just feels so amazing and exudes so much character.
Talking of Optimus, I'm also happily surprised to find that she scales head-to-head with Classics Voyager Optimus. So though I have no other MPs, she finds a place in my random Autobots display very easily.



Which is nice, because now I don't feel the need to track down a Classics Road Rage (ie SG Tracks) that would cost me a fortune. It's funny when the Masterpiece is cheaper than the CHUG. Besides... badass like this fits Voyager better

She also goes well with Victorion.

Really nice figure with cool bot and scorpion modes. Transformation is fun and just complicated enough. The claw part is a little partsform-y, but still clever and cool.

Visually he reminds me of this guy.



I had Creepy as a kid and Paralon rubs my nostalgia feels in just the right way! I'll be hunting for the sparkly bronze variant now

I have both Victorion and Roadrage. LOVE THEM!

BTW, here's a few pointers. RR's head, like Tracks, dont tab anywhere. It just float there. Still the joint is tight so it's not an issue. You can mistransform the back to make it less hollow. RR's reprolabels are very nice and I recommend them:

As for Vicky, the hands can store inside the feet when in vehicle or individual bots mode. The feet also make some very nice flight stands for the helicopters.

Both Road Rage and Victorion are great additions to a fembot collection. I do hope you have at least Prime RID Arcee and Generations/Legend Arcee?
