Hey Logan. Could you check your TL Broadcast if Twincast's heads needs to be twisted 180 degree backwards before joining the transtector body?

I had to do the 180 because the head keeps on popping out.

hasbro blaster can go either way. if you dont rotate it it sits in tighter. if you do rotate it and lift the mask up the head comes with the mask.

So it pops out? When you rotate it. Don't rotate, it stays. Got it . Thanks.

it doesnt pop out because the mask is holding it down. i havent really noticed it popping out. sometimes it wont go in and you have to turn it 180

Opened Highbrow and Chromedome. As a whole I kinda like Highbrow's robot mode but it's got far too much kibble. I like the head and the gunmetal colour of it though. The chopper mode is pretty bad. The rotor blades being able to hit each other being the worst part.

Chromedome is alright. I've no real affection for the character in any media but the robot mode is solid (if a big chunky in the back of the legs) and the car mode is tidy.

I have six of these Titans figures now (4 Hasbro and 2 Takara). Not sure which I'll keep or sell on (I've modified Galavtron slightly and I love Blurr). I almost completely passed over the CW line but Titans certainly got me spending more money even if I still find a lot of it quite flawed. It'll do for me til the The Last Knight toyline anyways (movie figures are my thing).

Great, I like getting my expectations lowered, like that the worst case scenario will be that I was ready and not surprised ;)

And to be dead honest, even when they arent great toys, I would rather know that for myself than forever be in limbo on my personal thoughts on the figure. Like with Cybertron Override. I just needed to know, and yeah it wasnt great.

I will share my thoughts next week ;)^

Out of the 6 I've got in the pic above I think Blurr is the only one I haven't felt any real disappointment with as of yet. Well, I guess not too disappointed with Chromedome cos wasn't expecting much in first place. Not keen on the head sculpt though. Scourge is nice but the obvious Titan master head ruins it a bit. Hardhead is boring. Highbrow is kibblebot. Galvatron is just bleh.

They do nice all together though. Thanks largely to the colour schemes and the way most of them can pose well.

Proportionl to price point, Blurr is the best figure to come out this year.

I grabbed Thunderhoof today while running errands. Great color, cool gun, nice silhouette for the most part. But his hollow backside bugs me. Actually he reminds me a lot of FoC Swindle(?). I only have the Fisitron/Ironfist version of that mold. I haven't actually transformed him yet but I wonder if they took cues from that particular engineering. I still like him, but not nearly as much as I adore Scorponok and Paralon.

This is not like you to buy Hasbro Transformers at FULL price right away. Is it because "Better safe than sorry?"

On my end, I'm not really excited by the line and I already have WAY too much stuff anyway. So I reserve my space and budjet for things that truly "wow" me.

Hmmm. Considering he comes with a recolour of Brawn's Titan Master vehicle - which you said is the best Titan Master - would you then say that Takara Legends Brainstorm is the best import item of 2016?

I would wait till you transform him to make that judgment, most of the gushing over the figure comes from the transformation.

-Kanrabat- wrote:This is not like you to buy Hasbro Transformers at FULL price right away. Is it because "Better safe than sorry?"

I have 90 days to return them. So I will keep the receipt and wait till TRU gets them, then buy them with my raincheck and return the boxed figures to walmart. So yeah, better safe then sorry but I will also get them discounted so its win win.

The best imported figure is still Blurr because the deco is just so much more of a striking contrast to the Hasbro version, in comparison to the Brainstorms which all look as good (just slightly different). Plus, the additional fee Takara attributes to the Brawn titanmaster vehicle is more than what the Hasbro version retails for so for the same price (not counting shipping), you could get Hasbro Brainstorm and TM Brawn and have an extra head.

Also, I feel the square head you get with a titan master works better with Hasbro's mouth plated Brainstorm and the mold works better as Blurr sine its a better homage to the original toy which also had that detachable shield (while Brainstorm didnt). Also, this mold has more functionality as an earth vehicle since the wheels they give him make him roll better than any transformer in recent memory, which is kind of lost on a flying vehicle retool (they exist, but they dont add as much since planes dont need to roll as much as cars do).

So in the end, you get a much better deal importing Legends Blurr and buying Brawn locally to have the best of all worlds.

That being said, the best import of the year might go to an item which cannot be gotten locally, like MP Ironhide or Primal, or UW Computron.

I just feel headmasters look better with mouthplates. They have such squarish/cube-like robotic heads that when you add a more human like face, it looks more off to me. Thats just a personal opinion. But it seems Takara knows it, hence why they put a contrast in colours for their Scourge and Blurr heads to simulate that their heads aren't cubes and as you said, it doesnt really work that well.

Aaah, okay, fair enough.
Funnily enough I'm getting Brainstorm specifically because he has the mouth. I'm getting him for an MTMTE display and, well, I'm not paying for the full SDCC set and Walgreens is nowhere to be found; but the Legends one is still lovely and there are scenes in MTMTE where he has his faceplate off. So maybe in the future when I can get a TR Brainstorm I can swap out the heads for different scenes

I'd quite like the Walgreens Brainstorm as that has the mouthplate and my choice of colours for Brainy but it's not cheap to get for UK. They have some on eBay for about £40 each compared to the Toys R Us price of a Titans Deluxe figure at £16.99. My waning interest in the line isn't enough to justify the high price when I don't have a sentimental attachment to that character either. It's just if that particular version was there on the pegs at the Toys R Us for normal price I would have bought it.

The toy isn't even out yet in the US so wait a bit. And it might get released in the UK too, we don't know which retailers outside the US will get him.

BTW, did you get the super expensive for nothing Takara MP-11 coronation Starscream, or the cheaper (and with fixed issues) Hasbro version?

It was an Hasbro Asia exclusive I think. Something like that. I think, something like that. I think takara is doing a mall exclusive this year. :-?

Sure, I can.

Its because he was never released in the west, unlike the other 2. Hasbro's MP Thundercracker was released early on, and in a decent quantity, so when Takara released their version and the only one available to fans was the overpriced Asian release, not everyone bought it. And the original MP 11 Starscream from Takara was a wide release, unlike Takara Thundercracker and Skywarp and thus wasnt that expensive, and it was plentiful.

But Skywarp ONLY has that expensive "exclusive" release, meaning that the only way to have gotten him ever was to pay $200 US. No version was ever available for less. So you can see that the only ones who bought him were those who really wanted him. Hasbro Asia (those who distribute this exclusive takara item) knew this and so they only produced enough to sell at that high price range. He wasnt limited, but they didnt make a ton either. So the only ones out there are in collector's homes.
Like you, I have the other 2 MP 11 molds and I am waiting for Hasbro to eventually release Skywarp in the west where he will surely be less than 200$.

UPDATE: GREAT NEWS FOR YOU! Skywarp is getting reissued, you can buy it here: http://www.robotkingdom.com/mp11swre.html

Thanks for all the info WJ! $180 is still a bit much for me since I got Thundercracker for $100 and Starscream for $120. Do you suspect TRU will release him soon?

It is a lot, but like I said, the ones at 200$ sold out, thats what happens when you are the only ticket in town. A lot are biting at 180$. I have no clue what Hasbro is up to with their MP line. They even seem to have changed their 2 mps a year to 1 since we are the last quarter of the year and only now do they advertize MP bumblebee.
I am personally waiting for them to release it in the west simply because I refuse to pay that sum. But that means that I am also ok with never getting him.

Since he paid 120 for him, I am pretty sure its the Hasbro version.
